Abstract

The invention relates to a stand (50) for testing an internal combustion engine (1) provided with a primary cooling circuit (22) including a radiator (25), said test stand including an auxiliary cooling circuit (51) which can be connected to the primary cooling circuit in parallel with the radiator and which comprises: (i) two intermediate parallel ducts (58, 59), one of which is provided with a heat exchanger (60, 61); and (ii) an auxiliary pump (56) located outside the two intermediate ducts. According to invention, the test stand includes a first bypass line (63) which is connected to the auxiliary cooling circuit in order to short-circuit the auxiliary pump and which includes means (64) for controlling the flow of liquid flowing through same.
