Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic clip rod for use not only as a rod for curling and fixing hair, but also for fixing hair wound on a heating rod to preventing evaporation of moisture from hair and damage to the scalp from heat. A cosmetic clip rod according to the present invention includes a cylindrical body having a space within in which another rod wound with hair can be disposed, and an outer surface for winding hair on; where the cylindrical body includes a first band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape, and a second band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape symmetrical to the first band portion and connected to the first band portion to open or close, for enclosing hair wound on another rod.

Description
COSMETIC CLIP LOT
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to beauty supplies, and more particularly, to a cosmetic clip rod for not only curling and fixing hair, but also for fixing hair wound on a heating rod and preventing evaporation of moisture from hair. Background Art
[2] Generally, as a required perming tool used to form waves in hair when performing perms, various types of hair rods have been used to date and are being widely used. Of these, the most commonly used rod configuration includes a cylindrical body with a plurality of projections formed at either end, around which rubber bands are circum- ferentially supported.
[3] Using these common rods involves proficiency in winding hair around the outer circumference of the body and then winding separate rubber bands around the hair wound on the rod to prevent unraveling of hair. Also, in order to prevent moisture evaporating from hair when heat is applied to the hair, non- woven fabric is used to cover the hair, which also requires the skills of an experienced hair dresser. Non- woven fabric is insufficient in preventing evaporation of moisture from hair and also has the problem of absorbing moisture.
[4] A heating rod, with a heating coil installed in the body that directly applies heat to hair when supplied with power, has recently been developed. However, the heat generated from the body of this heating rod is applied to the scalp, which presents the problem of scalding the scalp of the client having the perm. Of course, while non- woven fabric is used to cover hair wound around the body of the rod, because the non- woven fabric cannot perform the function of shielding the scalp of the client receiving the perm from heat, there is the problem of the client suffering damage to the scalp from prolonged exposure to heat over the duration of the perm. Further, because heat generated from the body of the heating rod is easily radiated outward, heat efficiency is poor, presenting the problem of prolonging the time required for a perm. Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem
[5] An object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic clip rod that not only performs the function for winding hair, but also acts as banding to fix hair wound on the rod.
[6] Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic clip rod that minimizes evaporation of moisture from hair wound around the rod. [7] A further object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic clip rod that blocks dissipation of heat from the heating rod around which hair is wound, to increase perming effectiveness.
[8] A still further object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic clip rod that can shield the scalp from heat generated by a heating rod.
[9] A yet further object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic clip rod that does not make pressure marks on hair when hair is wound around the rod. Technical Solution
[10] To achieve the objects in accordance with the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic clip rod including: a cylindrical body having a space within in which another rod wound with hair can be disposed, and an outer surface for winding hair on; wherein the cylindrical body includes: a first band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape, and a second band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape symmetrical to the first band portion and connected to the first band portion to open or close, for enclosing hair wound on another rod.
[11] According to embodiments of the present invention, the body further includes a flexible connecting portion or a hinged portion connecting one end of the first band portion and one end of the second band portion.
[12] According to embodiments of the present invention, the cosmetic clip rod further includes an elastic member providing elastic force to open or close the first band portion and the second band portion.
[13] To achieve the objects in accordance with the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic clip rod including: a first band portion and a second band portion having cross sectional semicircular shapes and connected at one end by a connecting portion, to provide a cylindrical body; and an elastic member providing elastic force to the first band portion and the second band portion, to elastically open or close the first band portion and the second band portion about the connecting portion at a center.
[14] According to embodiments of the present invention, the cosmetic clip rod further includes a recess defined in another end of the first band portion and in another end of the second band portion, to provide a slot for hair to pass out through when the first band portion and the second band portion are closed.
[15] According to embodiments of the present invention, the other end of the first band portion and the other end of the second band portion further include sloped surfaces formed on an inner surface and an outer surface closest to the recesses, to prevent occurrence of press marks on hair when passed out through the slot.
[16] According to embodiments of the present invention, the first band portion and the second band portion further include a plurality of protrusions formed on inner surfaces thereof.

[37] As described above, while the rod of the present invention may be used for its original purpose, it may also be used as a band for covering a heating rod, to realize various advantages accruing therefrom.
[38] Also, with the first band and second band of the present invention opened, because the rod of the present invention encloses a heating rod around which hair is wound, the rod can not only securely fix hair along the entire surface of the heating rod, but is also more convenient to use than using rubber bands at certain portions to fix hair.
[39] Additionally, because the rod of the present invention completely covers the outside of hair wound around a heating rod, various advantages can be derived from the prevention of moisture evaporating from hair and escaping to the outside.
[40] Further, because the rod of the present invention is cylindrical, its parts can more tightly press against one another to enclose heating rods with hair wound around them. Accordingly, the present invention has various advantages from being able to cover more heating rods than clips within a given region.
[41] Moreover, the present invention has sloped surfaces at slot portions where hair is passed through, in order to minimize bending of hair and prevent formation of press marks in hair.
[42] Furthermore, because the present invention prevents heat generated by heating rods from being radiated to the outside (through heat insulation), heat loss is minimized to provide sufficient heat to hair (and increase perming effectiveness in less time), and prevent damage to the scalp from exposure to heat from heating rods, etc.
[43] Still further, because a heating rod wound with hair can be covered with a first free end and a second free end of a body spread outward, not only can hair be securely fixed along the entire surface of the heating rod, but workability is made more convenient over the method of using rubber bands to fix portions of hair. [69] Referring to Figs. 1 through 5, a cosmetic clip rod 20 according to present embodiments includes a body 200 with a slim, cylindrical pipe shape, and an elastic member 300.
[70] The body 200 includes a first band portion 210, a second band portion 220, and a connecting portion 230 connecting the former two portions. The first band portion 210 includes a fixed end 211 on the opposite end and a first free end 212 on one end, and has a semicircular sectional shape. The second band portion 220 is disposed symmetrically to the first band portion 210, with a fixed end 221 on the opposite end and a second free end 222 on the one end, and has a semicircular sectional shape. Recesses 202 are defined at either end of the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 on which rubber bands (not shown) can be hooked. The fixed end 211 of the first band portion 210 and the fixed end 221 of the second band portion 220 are connected to one another by the connecting portion 230. The connecting portion 230 is formed of a flexible connecting member, and the connecting portion 230 is disposed at either edge of the body 200. As illustrated in Fig. 3, the body 200 is configured with the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 to enclose another rod 1 wound with hair about the connecting portion 230. The body 200 may be defined into an edge portion Zl at which the elastic member 300 and connecting portion 230 are disposed, and a central portion Z2 in which hair can be wound. The central portion Z2 is concaved in the center. The outer periphery of the central portion Z2 has anti-slip recesses 204 defined longitudinally therein to prevent hair slipping.
[71] Referring to Fig. 4, the body 200 defines a slot 206 through which hair can pass outward between the first free end 212 of the first band portion 210 and the second free end 222 of the second band portion 220, when the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 are folded. The slot 206 is provided by means of recesses 214 and 224 defined in the first free end 212 of the first band portion 210 and the second free end 222 of the second band portion 220. In particular, an inner slope 226 is formed on the inner surface of the first band portion 210 or second band portion 220 that is closest to hair passing through the slot 206, and an outer slope 216 is formed on an outer surface of the first band portion 210 or second band portion 220 farthest from the hair passing through the slot 206, in order to prevent pressing marks being formed on the hair. That is, in the case where the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 enclose another rod 1 wound with hair, the hair passes through the slot 206 to the outside and contacts the inner surface of the second free end 222 and the outer surface of the first free end 212. In the present invention, the inner surface of the second free end 222 and the outer surface of the first free end 212 are machined (to be thinner) to minimize bending of hair and prevent pressing marks from forming on the hair. As illustrated in Fig. 8, moisture discharge holes 209 for discharging moisture may further be defined in the first band portion 210 forming the body 200.
[72] Referring to Figs. 2 through 5, the elastic member 300 is formed of a plate spring installed on the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220. The elastic member 300 is installed on either end (the edge portions) of the main body, to provide elasticity to elastically open or close the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 about the connecting portion 230. With the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 open, after another rod 1 wound with hair is disposed therein, when a slight force is exerted in the closing direction on the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220, the elastic force from the elastic member 300 returns the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 to their original positions to fix hair wound around the other rod 1 and prevent evaporation of moisture from the hair.
[78] In further detail, with reference to Fig. 10, after hair is wound on a typical heating rod 1 from the bottom up, the cosmetic clip rod 20 is used instead of rubber bands to fix the hair. Here, because the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 of the cosmetic clip rod 20 encloses the heating rod 1 wound with hair, not only can the hair be fixed along the entire surface of the heating rod 1, but convenience of use is greatly increased over using rubber bands to fix portions of hair. In particular, because the cosmetic clip rod 20 completely covers hair wound around the heating rod 1 from the outside, various effects can be realized from preventing moisture in the hair evaporating and escaping to the outside. Specifically, because the cosmetic clip rod 20 prevents (through heat insulation) heat generated from the heating rod 1 from being radiated to the outside, heat loss is minimized, heat is adequately provided to hair (increasing perming effectiveness over less time), and other effects can also be realized such as preventing damage to the scalp from heat generated by the heating rod 1. As illustrated in Fig. 9, the body 200 may have protrusions (or recesses) 205 formed on the inner periphery thereof to provide spaces for moisture from the hair to collect. The protrusions 205 may be formed circularly around the body 200, and perm activators, etc. to be applied to hair can also be disposed between the protrusions 205.
[79] While not illustrated, the cosmetic clip rod 20 may be used for its innate function as a rod. As illustrated in Fig. 1, with the first band portion 210 and the second band portion 220 folded such that the first free end 212 and the second free end 222 contact one another, hair may be wound around the outer surface, when used as a rod. Here, while the hair may be fixed with rubber bands, a cosmetic clip rod that is larger than the cosmetic clip rod 20 with hair wound therearound may be used as a band to fix the hair.

[81] Referring to Fig. 11, in general, a hair clip 2 is used to fix hair wound on a heating rod 1. The clip 2 has a fixing portion 3 enclosing the rod 1 with a handle 4 projecting to the rear. Of course, the handle 4 is convenient for grasping the clip 2. However, due to the space taken up by the handle 4, the clip 2 has the drawback of not being able to be used in plurality while tightly arranged. In particular, because the handles 4 of neighboring clips 2 interfere, this device is inconvenient to use. Also, because the clip 2 cannot enclose the entirety of the heating rod 1, there is a limit in preventing evaporation of moisture. On the other hand, as illustrated in the adjacent drawing, the cosmetic clip rod 20 of the present invention is cylindrically configured, so that it can be more tightly arranged in plurality to enclose heating rods 1 wound with hair. Accordingly, the cosmetic clip rod 1 of the present invention can enclose one or more heating rods than the clip 2 within the same space.

[89] As illustrated in Fig. 15, a body 20Oe includes a connecting portion 23Oe at one end thereof where a first band portion 21Oe and a second band portion 22Oe are connected through a hinge, and a handle 240 formed extending from the connecting portion 23Oe. While not illustrated, a coil-shaped elastic member is installed on the connecting portion 23Oe of the cosmetic clip rod having the handle 240. In the cosmetic clip rod 2Oe illustrated in Fig. 15, when a user grasps and presses the handle 240, the first band portion 21Oe and the second band portion 22Oe open about a center defined by the connecting portion 23Oe, and when the force imparted on the handle 240 is removed, the elasticity of the elastic member installed on the connecting portion 23Oe automatically closes the cosmetic clip rod. In the present embodiment, because the handle 240 is provided, the first band portion 21Oe and the second band portion 22Oe can easily be opened, and because the handle 240 is formed along the length of the body 20Oe, shortage of space due to the handle 240 is not a problem.
[90] FOURTH EMBODIMENT [91] Fig. 16 is a perspective view illustrating a cosmetic clip rod according to a preferred fourth embodiment of the present invention, and Figs. 18 and 19 are sectional views of the cosmetic clip rod in Fig. 16.
[92] Referring to Figs. 16 through 19, a cosmetic clip rod 10 according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention includes a body 100 in the form of a rolled cylindrical pipe that is thin. The body 100 is formed in a cylindrical clip shape with an open side having a first free end 112 and a second free end 114, and has elasticity to resiliently open the first free end 112 and the second free end 114 to one side or elastically return the two ends inward to their original positions. Recesses 116 are defined in either side of the body 100 to hold rubber bands (not shown). When viewed sectionally, the body 100 is formed of a base plate 102 with elasticity, and a coating layer 103 protecting the base plate 102. The base plate 102 may employ a flexible compound resin or a metal. If the material of the base plate 102 is a compound resin, it may be formed using press forming, pultrusion, injection molding, blow molding, etc., and if the material of the base plate 102 is metal, it may be formed by rolling a metal plate into a cylindrical pipe shape. Here, various metals may be used for a metal plate material, such as stainless steel and alloys thereof, aluminum and alloys thereof, and copper and alloys thereof. Such a base plate 102 rolled into a cylindrical shape is coated with a coating layer 103, and the coating layer 103 is formed of a highly heat resistant material such as silicon, urethane, compound resin, etc. While not illustrated, the body 100 of the cosmetic clip rod 10 may employ a cover for covering the base plate 102 instead of the coating layer. The cover may be made of a material such as compound resin or a textile sheet that is adhered to the base plate 102 or made to be easily peeled off, depending on requirements.
[93] As illustrated in Fig. 18, the body 100 has a fixing member for maintaining overlapped portions of the first free end and second free end in the overlapped state. The fixing member 118 is formed of an inserting part 118b and an insertion slot 118a, whereby the inserting part 118b protrudes from the outer surface of the first free end 112, and the insertion slot 118a is defined at predetermined intervals such that the inserting part 118b can be inserted and fixed at positions adjacent to the second free end 114. Referring to Fig. 18, the body 100 can be varied in size according to which position of the insertion slots 118a the inserting part 118b is inserted in. That is, if the inserting part 118b is inserted in the insertion slot 118a farthest from the second free end 114, the diameter of the body 100 is the smallest, and conversely, if the inserting part 118b is inserted in the insertion slot 118a closest to the second free end 114, the diameter of the body 100 becomes comparatively greater. For example, while in the present embodiment, the inserting part 118b and the insertion slot 118a are illustrated and described as forming the fixing member 118, it will be apparent that alternate members for fixing the first free end and the second free end together may employ velcro, buttons, magnets, and various other fixing structures.

Here, because the heating rod 1 wound with hair is covered with the first free end and second free end of the cosmetic clip rod opened outward, not only is the hair fixed along the entire surface of the heating rod 1, but the process is much easier than using rubber bands to fix hair at portions. Here, only by using a cosmetic clip rod that has a smaller diameter than the heating rod 1 can the cosmetic clip rod firmly fix hair wound on the heating rod 1 with elasticity. In particular, because the cosmetic clip rod completely covers the hair wound around the heating rod 1 from the outside, various effects can be realized from preventing moisture in the hair from evaporating and escaping to the outside. Specifically, because the cosmetic clip rod shields (heat insulates) the heat generated by the heating rod 1 from radiating to the outside, various effects, including minimizing heat loss to provide sufficient heat to the hair, allowing quick perming effectiveness, and preventing damage to the scalp from heat generated by the heating rod 1, can be realized. While not illustrated, recesses may be formed in the inner surface of the body 100 to define spaces in which moisture from the hair can collect. These recesses may be formed circumferentially in the body, and the recesses may also hold perm activators applied to the hair.

[103] Attached Figs. 23 through 25 are diagrams illustrating cosmetic clip rods according to a preferred fifth embodiment of the present invention.
[104] Referring to Figs. 23 through 25, a cosmetic clip rod 10a according to embodiments of the present invention includes a cylindrical pipe-shaped body 100a having a slight thickness. The body 100a includes a first band portion 110a and a second band portion 110b, and a plate spring 120 connecting the two portions.
[105] The first band portion 110a is shaped in a semicircle, with a fixed end 111 on another end and a first free end 112 on one end. The second band portion 110b is disposed symmetrically to the first band portion 110a, and has a semicircular shape with the other end having a fixed end 113 and the one end having a second free end 114. Recesses 116 for hooking rubber bands (not shown) are defined in either side surfaces of the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b. The first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b have sections that may include a base plate 102 and coating layer 103 described in the first embodiment, and detailed descriptions thereof will be deemed already provided above. However, in the present embodiment, because the body 100a has a plate spring 120, the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b may be more sturdily made than the body 100 according to the first embodiment.

Here, because the heating rod 1 wound with hair is covered with the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b of the cosmetic clip rod 10a opened outward, various effects can be realized, including fixing the hair across the entire surface of the heating rod 1, and easier workability versus using rubber bands to fix hair at portions. Here, only by using a cosmetic clip rod 10a with a diameter smaller than that of the heating rod 1 can the rod impart sufficient tensile force to firmly fix the hair wound on the heating rod 1. Particularly, because the cosmetic clip rod 10a completely covers hair wound on the heating rod 1 from the outside, various effects can be realized, such as the prevention of moisture evaporating from the hair to the outside. Specifically, because the cosmetic clip rod 10a blocks (heat insulates) heat generated by the heating rod 1 from radiating to the outside, heat loss is minimized to provide sufficient heat to hair to achieve perming effectiveness over a short duration, prevent damage to the scalp from heat from the heating rod 1, and achieve other effects.

[113] Figs. 30 and 31 are diagrams illustrating cosmetic clip rods according to a sixth preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[114] Referring to Figs. 30 and 31, a cosmetic clip rod 10b according to the sixth embodiment includes a body 100b in a cylindrical pipe shape with a slight thickness. The body 100b includes a first band portion 110a and a second band portion 110b, and a plate spring 130 connecting the two portions.
[115] The first band portion 110a has a fixed end 111 at the other end and a first free end 112 at one end, and is formed as a semi-cylinder. The second band portion 110b is symmetrically disposed to the first band portion 110a, has a fixed end 113 at the other end and a second free end 114 at the one end, and is formed as a semi-cylinder. The fixed end 111 of the first band portion 110a and the fixed end 113 of the second band portion 110b are connected to one another by a flexible connecting portion 119 that can freely be bent. The recesses 116 are defined at either end of the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b to wind rubber bands (not shown) on. The sections of the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b, as described in the first embodiment, may include a base plate 102 and a coating layer 103, and a description thereof will be deemed provided by the description given above. However, in the present embodiment, because the body 100b has the spring plate 130, the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b may be more durably formed than the body 100 according to the first embodiment.
[116] The plate spring 130 is inserted in coupling holes 117 defined in portions close to the fixed end 111 of the first band portion 110a and the fixed end 113 of the second band portion 110b, to provide elastic force enabling the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b to elastically open or return to their original positions, and the plate spring 130 maintains a flush state with the outer surface of the body when the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b are in closed states. The plate spring 130 has bend portions 132 at either end thereof, and the bent portions 132 are hooked on the inner surface of the body 100b, through the coupling holes 117, to provide force pressing the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b inward. That is, when the cosmetic clip rod is used as a band, the plate spring exerts force inward (toward a heating rod with hair wound thereon) on the first band portion 110a and the second band portion 110b, so that the hair can be held more securely.

[121] Figs. 32 through 37 are diagrams illustrating cosmetic clip rods according to a preferred seventh embodiment of the present invention.
[122] Referring to Figs. 32 through 34, a cosmetic clip rod 10c according to the seventh embodiment of the present invention includes a body 100c formed as a cylindrical pipe with a thin thickness. The body 100c is cylindrically configured with a first free end 112 and a second free end 114 that open at one side, and has elasticity enabling the first free end 112 and the second free end 114 to elastically open outward or elastically return to their original positions. The body 100c defines recesses (not shown) at either end thereof on which rubber bands (not shown) can be hooked. The body 100c may have a cross section with a base plate having elasticity, and a coating layer that protects the base plate.
[123] The body 100c defines a plurality of cut portions 105 longitudinally along its inner surface and a plurality of cutaways 106 in its outer surface, to allow it to easily open outward when subjected to physical force applied from the outside. The cut portions 105 and the cutaways 106 are defined at predetermined intervals circumferentially along the body 100c. Thus, the body 100c, according to the present embodiment, through the shrinking and expansion of the cut portions 105 and cutaways 106, allows the first free end 112 and the second free end 114 to open outwardly with minimal exertion. Of course, when the physical force applied to the first free end 112 and the second free end 114 is removed, the innate elastic restoring force of the body returns the body to its original position indicated by the dotted lines.

[1] A cosmetic clip rod comprising: a cylindrical body having a space within in which another rod wound with hair can be disposed, and an outer surface for winding hair on; wherein the cylindrical body comprises: a first band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape, and a second band portion having a semicircular cross sectional shape symmetrical to the first band portion and connected to the first band portion to open or close, for enclosing hair wound on another rod.
[2] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 1, wherein the body further comprises a flexible connecting portion or a hinged portion connecting one end of the first band portion and one end of the second band portion.
[3] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 1 or 2, further comprising an elastic member providing elastic force to open or close the first band portion and the second band portion.
[4] A cosmetic clip rod comprising: a first band portion and a second band portion having cross sectional semicircular shapes and connected at one end by a connecting portion, to provide a cylindrical body; and an elastic member providing elastic force to the first band portion and the second band portion, to elastically open or close the first band portion and the second band portion about the connecting portion at a center.
[5] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, further comprising a recess defined in another end of the first band portion and in another end of the second band portion, to provide a slot for hair to pass out through when the first band portion and the second band portion are closed.
[6] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 5, wherein the other end of the first band portion and the other end of the second band portion further comprise sloped surfaces formed on an inner surface and an outer surface closest to the recesses, to prevent occurrence of press marks on hair when passed out through the slot.
[7] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the first band portion and the second band portion further comprise a plurality of protrusions formed on inner surfaces thereof.
[8] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the elastic member is formed of a plate spring having bent portions, and the first band portion and the second band portion further comprise coupling holes for inserting the bent portions of the plate spring.
[9] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 8, wherein the first band portion and the second band portion further comprise receiving slots defined in outer surfaces thereof, to prevent the plate spring from protruding.
[10] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the body is formed in a shape of a peaked hat with a gradually increasing diameter along a lengthwise direction thereof.
[11] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the connecting portion is formed of a flexible joint or a hinge.
[12] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the body comprises edge portions at either end along a lengthwise direction thereof to which the elastic member couples, and a central portion therebetween to wind hair around an outer surface thereof.
[13] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 12, wherein the edge portions and the central portion are formed stepped.
[14] The cosmetic clip rod of claim 4, wherein the first band portion and the second band portion further comprise moisture discharging holes to discharge moisture; and anti-slip recesses formed in outer surfaces thereof to prevent slipping of hair.
[15] An elastic cosmetic rod comprising: a body rolled in a cylindrical shape to prevent evaporation of moisture from hair, and comprising a first free end and a second free end on either end thereof, the first and second free ends resiliently opening outward through application of an external physical force or elastically returning to original positions thereof, to enclose another rod wound with hair.
[16] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body comprises: a first band portion of a semicircular shape comprising a fixed end at one end thereof and the first free end at another end thereof; a second band portion of a semicircular shape symmetrical to the first band portion, and comprising a fixed end at one end thereof and the second free end at another end thereof; and a plate spring connected to the fixed ends of the first band portion and the second band portion, and providing elastic force to elastically open or return the first band portion and the second band portion to original positions thereof.
[17] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body comprises: a first band portion of a semicircular shape comprising a fixed end at one end thereof and the first free end at another end thereof; a second band portion of a semicircular shape symmetrical to the first band portion, and comprising a fixed end at one end thereof and the second free end at another end thereof; and a flexible connecting portion connecting the fixed end of the first band portion and the fixed end of the second band portion.
[18] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 17, further comprising a plate spring connected to the first band portion and the second band portion at an outside of the body, and providing elastic force to elastically open or return the first band portion and the second band portion to original positions thereof.
[19] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 17, further comprising a plate spring providing elastic force to elastically open or return the first band portion and the second band portion to original positions thereof about the connecting portion at a center thereof, wherein the plate spring comprises: a first fixed portion coupled to the first band portion at an outside of the body; and a second fixed portion coupled to the second band portion at an outside of the body, the first band portion and the second band portion defining a coupling hole in which the first fixed portion and the second fixed portion are respectively inserted.
[20] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body comprises at least one cut portion along a lengthwise direction in an inner surface thereof, to facilitate outward opening when an external physical force is applied.
[21] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 20, wherein the cut portion is defined at predetermined intervals circumferentially in the body.
[22] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body comprises at least one cutaway along a lengthwise direction in an outer surface thereof, to facilitate outward opening when an external physical force is applied.
[23] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 22, wherein the cutaway is defined at predetermined intervals circumferentially in the body.
[24] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, further comprising a fixing member to fixedly maintain an overlapped portion of the first free end and the second free end.
[25] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 24, wherein the fixing member comprises: an inserting part protruding from an outer surface of the first free end; and an insertion hole defined proximately to the second free end, to insert and fix the inserting part in.
[26] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body further comprises an outer layer formed of at least one of silicon, a compound resin material, and a non-woven fabric on an outer surface thereof. [27] The elastic cosmetic rod of claim 15, wherein the body further comprises a coating layer formed of at least one material from silicon and compound resin on an outer surface thereof.
