Abstract

A displacement measuring apparatus (4) is provided with a pair of targets (10A, 10B), which have laser beam reflecting sections (12), and are arranged on a bridge beam (3A) by having the reflecting sections (12) incline in directions opposite to each other against a displacement measuring direction. The displacement measuring apparatus is also provided with a pair of laser distance meters (20A, 20B) on a bridge support (2) or the like. A pair of laser beams parallel to each other are applied to the reflecting sections (12) from the laser distance meters (20A, 20B), the reflected beams returned in the direction opposite to the laser beam incoming direction from the reflecting sections (12) are received by the laser distance meters (20A, 20B), and change quantities of distances to the pair of targets (10A, 10B) are measured. By using such change quantities, displacement of the bridge beam (3A) in the vertical direction is calculated while eliminating influence of a shift in the beam incoming direction.
