Abstract

同一映像コンテンツの同時視聴の如き柔軟な再生形態を可能とする映像コンテンツ再生方法及びシステムを提供する。本発明は、映像コンテンツを録画する複数の映像コンテンツ録画装置と、録画された映像コンテンツを、通信ネットワークを介して取り込んで再生する少なくとも１つの視聴端末とを含む。コンテンツ管理サーバは、当該映像コンテンツの録画の度に、録画された映像コンテンツのコンテンツ属性情報を、当該録画を行った映像コンテンツ録画装置に対応付けて保持する。コンテンツ管理サーバは、一つの視聴端末からの視聴リクエストに応じて、該視聴リクエストで指定された指定映像コンテンツのコンテンツ属性情報を保持したコンテンツ属性情報のうちから探索し、探索したコンテンツ属性情報に対応する映像コンテンツ録画装置を判別する。判別した当該映像コンテンツ録画装置からは、当該指定映像コンテンツを該視聴端末に直接供給する。
