Abstract

より真のデータに近い入力パターンを得ることができる印刷物認識装置および印刷物認識方法を提供する。この為に、印刷物認識装置は、表面と裏面とにそれぞれ所定の印刷パターンを有する印刷物Ａから表面及び裏面の印刷パターンをそれぞれ入力パターンとして取得し、取得した入力パターンに基づいて前記印刷物Ａの端折れを検知し、端折れを検知した場合、取得した入力パターンと予め記憶している辞書パターンとのいずれか一方のパターンを加工して復元する。
