Abstract

A device for freezing therapy means a device to be used in a freezing therapy method which comprises alternately supplying a freezing gas and a thawing gas to a probe punctured into an affected part and thus repeatedly freezing and thawing the affected part to thereby necrose the affected part. Because of having a cylindrical shape, such a device for freezing therapy shows an even distribution of heat orientation around 360°. It is intended to provide a device for freezing therapy which shows a directional heat orientation. Namely, a device for freezing therapy consists of a probe (1) and an envelope tube (2). The envelope tube (2) has a cone-shaped tip which can be punctured into the body. Into the probe (1), a freezing gas and a thawing gas are alternately injected. Thus, freezing and thawing heat energies are generated at the tip and transmitted via the envelope tube (2) to thereby cause the necrosis of an affected part being in contact with the envelope tube (2). A projection (20) is provided at a part of the major diameter tip of the envelope tube and thus the heat orientation is changed to the direction of the projection.
