Abstract

A camera includes: a diopter adjusting unit which adjusts diopter of an observation optical system; a drive unit which drives the diopter adjusting unit; an operation member serving as a diopter adjusting operation member and an imaging operation member; and a control unit for switching between a first mode which instructs drive to the drive unit in accordance with an operation signal from the operation member and a second mode which instructs a predetermined imaging operation in accordance with an operation signal from the operation member.
