Abstract

A method of performing a web search, including, accepting parameters for performing the search from a client device, providing the parameters to a search engine to perform the search, receiving a list of web pages from the search engine as the results of the web search, obtaining an associated graphical image for each web page from the list of web pages, wherein a web page is not required to have an associated graphical image in order to be selected to appear on the list of web pages, determining the ability of the client device, displaying results of the search in a table of associated graphical images with the size of the table fitting the ability of the client device.
