Description
REINFORCED LOCKER IN CONTROL KNOB MECHANISMS
The Related Art
The invention relates to control knobs used in electrical and/or gas appliances to control the pass of electric and/or gas. The invention particularly relates to a new locking embodiment preventing wearing and damaging of locking part in short time constituting control knobs used in cookers and thus providing long life.
Background of the Related Art
Control knobs controlling passage of gas or electricity are used in electrical or gas cookers. One of the inventions relating to the control knobs used in such appliances is the patent application numbered TR200502678U. It offers a different solution to the problems encountered by the known push knob type. Similarly the patent applications numbered TR9600723A2, EP0927426, EP0366445, US5384442 offer different solutions for the problems. Therefore, several improvements have been made in the control knobs.
It is seen that the developments made in controlling knobs are in the form of operation of the mechanism in general. In addition to development of various command knob mechanisms, the locking part of the mechanism is one of the crucial parts. Having impact on operation life of the control knobs and their operation the locking part plays an active role in operation of the mechanism. The control knobs become non-operable as a result of damage to the locking part for various reasons.
The locking embodiments used in the mechanism can be of plastic basis as well as metal basis. It is seen that the locking part is worn in a short time due to constant operation. The knobs are required to be replaced due to wearing and non-operable of the locking. A new locking embodiment is needed for elimination of this problem. Being the most impart part of the control knobs and located in an integral embodiment on the body, the locking part is incurred several problems as a result of wearing due to operation around the guiding element. In such case, command knob should be replaced since it is not likely to repair the locking part. On the other hand, it is needed to extend the operation life of the control knobs.
Purpose of the Invention
From the existing state of the related art, the purpose of the invention is to provide a new locking embodiment eliminating the existing problems and to provide a long life and durable command knob.
Another purpose of the invention is to reinforce the locking part constituting the control knobs mechanism and thus to prevent short time non-operable condition.
A further purpose of the invention is to increase the operation life of the command knob mechanisms.
Another purpose of the invention is to prevent impacts on the locker caused by changes occurring in operation conditions.
A further purpose of the invention is to increase the resistance of the locker by use of reinforcement member formed inside the locker located in the command knob.
A further purpose of the invention is to increase the durability of the command mechanism under severe working conditions.
Another purpose of the invention is to increase the resistance of the body connected to the locker located in the command mechanism and thus to eliminate the problems occurred in the control knobs during negative circumstances such as too hot or too cold conditions.
In order to achieve the said purposes, the resistance of the locker operating in the command mechanism has been increased. Reinforcement member has been located in the locker to achieve this purpose. Formed in an integral structure with the reinforcement member the locker has higher resistance. Thus operation of the command knob even in negative circumstances is provided and so the use life of control knobs has been increased by means of formed locker embodiment. Positive results are achieved even in severe operating conditions. Damage to control knobs in short time has been prevented.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one reinforcement member formed in the locker located on the fixed body to increase the operating life of the command knob.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locker is made of plastic basis material and reinforcement member is made of preferably metal based material.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises reinforcement member formed until final point of reinforcement member on the fixed body in the locker located on the fixed body.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the reinforcement member located in the locker is preferably of the sandwich type.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the reinforced member formed in the locker contains embodiment of preferably metal bar, spring steel wire etc.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to reinforced locker (2) embodiment developed to provide longer operation life for control knobs (4) used in cookers. The command mechanisms used in general consist of fixed body (5) and moving body (1 ) operating
therein. The locker (2) located on the fixed body (5) moves and provides on and off of the gas/electricity.
The locker (2) is subject to damage due to constant operation and environmental conditions by time. When the locker (2) becomes non-operable, it is not replaced but the control knob (4) has to be replaced, which causes time and cost loss. Reinforcement of the locker (2) embodiment provides elimination of adversities occurred by time.
The locker (2) located on the fixed body (5) moves. The reinforcement member (3) formed in the locker (2) increases the resistance of the locker (2). The metal based reinforcement member (3) located in the plastic based locker (2) increases operation life of the locker (2) even in severe working conditions.
The resistance weakness of the plastic locker (2) caused by hot and cold is eliminated. The reinforcement member (3) formed inside the locker (2) located on the fixed body (5) is located until final point (6) of the reinforcement member. The shape and length of the location of the reinforcement member (3) inside the locker (2) is calculated and does not deform structure of the locker (2). In the testing works, it has been seen that the reinforcement member (3) located inside the locker (2) increases operating life of the control knobs (4).
Figure 1 shows a sectional perspective drawing of the representative embodiment of the invention. Elastic member (7) is located between the moving body (1 ) and the fixed body (5). Reinforcement member (3) is located inside the locker (2) located on the fixed body (5). Reinforcement member (3) is located until final point (6) of reinforcement member on the locker (2). Thus, operating life of control knob (4) is considerably increased.
Figure 2 shows a representative drawing of upper view of the representative embodiment of the invention. The locker (2) located on the fixed body (5) moves. Elastic member (7) is located between the fixed body (5) and the moving body (1 ). The gas flowing or electric passing is controlled by means of control knob (4) movement.
The locker (2) having only plastic resistance is supported by use of preferably spring steel wire as the reinforcement member (3). Thus, the friction resistance is increased and the temperature resistance is increased to the highest level. Thus control knobs (4) with reinforced locker (2) can be used in various sectors.
The invention cannot be limited to the representative embodiments described under this part. Alternative embodiments to be realized by the persons skilled in the related art by use of basic factors covered under the claims shall mean violation of the invention.
