Abstract

Live Web Pages (LWPs) are web pages (121)with an added ability of providing updated information about any changes made to them. An LWP client (112, 113) such as a serving web server is automatically updated. An LWP server (12) sends updates (24) to registered clients (11) based on desired content. It is possible to send notifications only for changed items or parameters (23), to send information based on authorization (22), or to use other servers (112, 113) for sending LWP information. An LWP page includes active updated content (121, 122) and can be provided using XML and XSLT. Updateable Live Web Links can be included as well.
