Abstract

Polyurethane derivates and corresponding uses and methods for producing watermarks. The invention relates to compounds and/or compositions for producing watermarks on paper, having general formula (I), where, for example, R and R' are polyethyleneglycol, X, X' and X' are a diisocyanate, A is a polyester with a single branch, consisting in a functional carboxylic acid group, m and n are 0 or 1, and B is a diol. The molecular weight of the compound is greater than 550, and the NCO value is equal to 0. The invention also relates to methods for producing watermarks and to uses of compounds having general formula (I) and compositions containing them to produce watermarks on cellulosic sheet materials.
