Abstract

Device for extracting any plant contained in a pot or any other container. The invention relates to a device that makes it possible to transplant any plant without difficulty and enabling better regular upkeep of the plant. It consists of strips (1) arranged in a corolla connected at their centre by a removable tie (5) and connected at their ends by a rope system (3) to modulate the diameter of the device according to that of the pot. The device is arranged such that the tie is placed at the bottom of the pot and all the strips cover the walls of the pot forming a mould (9) around the soil (7) and the roots of the plant (8) planted. If the user wishes to extract the plant, he pulls towards the outside of the pot on the rope system remaining externally accessible and the device coming out of the container. In order to facilitate the extraction of large plants, it is provided to leave one strip (1) of the removable tie (5) free, thus serving as a loop (9) and handle (10) during extraction.

Description

 DEVICE FOR EXTRACTING ANY PLANT CONTAINED IN A POT OR ANY OTHER CONTAINER OF ANY FORM

The present invention relates to a device for extracting any plant contained in a pot or other container in order to be able to deposit it for the purpose of changing pots, moving the plant and for its regular maintenance. The fact of depositing a plant is traditionally really possible only by breaking the pot in which it is to extract it. Indeed the development of roots added to the earth form a difficult block to extract and tedious. In any case the fact of depositing is a real difficulty, the health of the plant can be altered without the professional has a way to remedy simply and effectively for both him and the plant. Regularly changing the first 10 cm of soil on the top of the pot certainly regenerates the soil but only on the surface without ever giving access to the roots to give it a real development or maintenance.

The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. It comprises in fact according to a first characteristic several strips connected together each from the edge of the pot to the other edge thus passing through the bottom of the pot and along the walls of the pkt then allowing a lifting system and extraction of the fact that the strips are accessible outside the pot while put together in this pot they mold the root system of the plant giving access to the deepest pot to extract the entire rootball. All the rectangular and identical strips arranged flat in a circle are connected by a fastener at their center which will be arranged at the bottom of the pot. The set of strips will then cover the walls of the pot over its entire height and connected at their end at the edge of the pot by a rope system more or less extensible. This string will allow the extractor to modulate its dimensions so to adapt to several diameters of existing pot and the ends of rope forming forming loops will be used to pull on all the strips of the extractor to exit, manually or mechanically, the plant of his pot. According to the particular embodiments:

the length and the number of strips per extractor will be variable and will exist in multiple versions that can each adapt to several sizes of pot

- The clip is removable to allow the addition or removal of the strips according to the diameter of the pot.

- a strap identical to all those of the extractor is delivered in addition which, after installation of the extractor in the pot, will be positioned horizontally around the strips to modulate the height of the extractor in the pot so modulate the height of the strips in the pot. This possibility of modulation of height then prevents certain plants for which it is fatal, that the roots bathe in the water after watering. The plant can then be levitated in the pot without ever touching the bottom allowing a possible ventilation and avoiding a constant humidity when it is discouraged. - The rope put in end and passing at the end of each strap in 2 holes allows to exercise the force for the extraction but also to hang any object for indicative, curative, advertising or decorative purposes.

- The straps will be longer or shorter depending on the size of pots and depending on whether the user wants to hide them in the earth surface or if they exceed the pot for aesthetics or decoration, the appearance of the strap can be different in a non-limiting manner, in terms of color, material or patterns.

- The rope system is removable and can be installed, according to the wishes of the user, only during extraction where it is essential since serving as handles between each strap.

- The material of the extractor is not unique and its weight can vary. In view of the regular use of the extractor for the maintenance of the plant, it can be biodegradable since often interchangeable.

- To facilitate the extraction, the user may not attach one of the straps to the removable fastener, in this case this strap will serve as a handle and lever. Indeed during the extraction, the free strap will serve as a handle to remove. The user will position one or both feet at the bottom of the pot, the pot lying, he will grab the free strap by pulling it towards him and push with the feet, the extraction will be done automatically and even by one person including for very large plants.

According to non-illustrated variants:

- The extractor can be positioned at the top of the pot upside down (ie center of the bands and attachment to the sky) forming an aerated vase for the plant that is planted in order to provide this pot a temperature, a hygrometry rate and a ventilation of its own.

- According to a second variant, depending on the weight and the manufacturing material chosen for this case, the extractor can be used as a plant container that can float in an aquatic environment. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention:

FIG. 1 is a top view of the flat position of the device of the invention. FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the device of the invention in a pot. FIG. 3 shows in section one of the variants of the device of the invention. FIG. 4 represents the extract with the free strap serving as a handle. FIG. 6 shows the extraction of the free strap with extraction handle. With reference to these drawings, the device comprises strips. (1) whose two ends are pierced in two orifices (2) for inserting the rope (3) tightened by the two extremes (4) for the diameter of the extractor according to that of the pot, the whole being connected by a removable clip (5) for adding or removing strips (1). This possibility then makes it possible to release a strap (1) which is placed in the jar (6) becomes a handle (9) and an extraction handle (10) if it is positioned upside down. Once the extractor installed in a pot (6) the strips (1) are arranged corolla all around the inside of the pot. The earth (7) can then be inserted and the plant (8) planted at chosen height offering a possibility of ventilation. The soil and the roots are then contained in the extractor which forms a mold (9). For the extraction is used manually or mechanically the rope system (3) pulling outwards, the ropes raise the mold (9) and each strap (1), allowing to increase the forces according to all straps and allowing the extraction of the plant from its pot (6).

After extraction, the pot (6) is released from the plantation, the plant (8) and its roots are molded in all the strips (1) and each strip, being independent of one another and removable according to the attachment (5) and the rope (3), will be able to peel off the clod (7) and release the plant (8) since the root system has not adhered to the walls of the pot but to the mold of the inserted extractor.

As a non-limiting example for a pot with a height of 12cm and a diameter of 13cm, the strips will be 32cm long, it will take 4 to form a corolla of 8 thongs pierced and 120cm of rope.

The device according to the invention is particularly used to extract any plant from its container.

Claims

1) extraction device for depositing that is to say exercise the necessary lifting for the extraction of all the root ball, any plant contained in a pot or other container characterized by an assembly of strips (1) which molds the ground (7) and the roots and which is accessible outside the pot (6) by a rope system (3) inserted at the end of the straps (1) for hanging on the edge of the pot (6) at the outside of the motte any curative, indicative, advertising or decorative object at the chosen height, since the removable fastener (5) makes it possible to add or remove the strips (1). In the latter case, a strap (1) arranged horizontally relative to the extractor between the pot (6) and the device allows to modulate the height of the device in the pot (6).
2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the possibility of modulation of the height of the device in the pot (6) allows the root system not to touch the bottom of the pot (6) so the roots do not bathe in the water avoiding permanent moisture when it is not recommended for certain plants.
3) Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the strips (1) through the pot (6), so that all the strips contain what we want to extract to remove the plant (8) while the rope system (3) allows the mobility of the straps (1) thus the adaptability to several diameters of pots (6)
4) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the material used will allow the device containing the plant, thanks to its weight, to float in an aquatic environment. The material is not limiting, it will be biodegradable, the extractor is regularly interchangeable for the maintenance of the plant. 5) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the length of the straps (1) must have a minimum size that allows to cover the pot (6) on twice its height including the bottom but may be greater allowing a much lower attachment of the device or even cover the entire outside of the pot (6) given that the appearance of the strips (1) would give a decorative note in addition to the technical aspect.
6) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that the device mounted and put upside down above the pot (6), removable clip (5) upwards and hooked by the rope (3) on the pot allows to create an individual culture medium for each plant (8) to vary the parameters essential to its growth such as, without limitation, temperature, ventilation or humidity.
7) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that after extraction, the pot (6) is released from the plantation, the plant (8) and its roots are molded in the set of strips (1) and each strap being independent of one another and removable according to the removable clip (5) and the rope (3), will be able to take off the clod (7) and release the plant (8) its roots and the earth (7).
8) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized in that one of the strips (1) of the device remains free, without being attached to the removable clip (5). This strap (1) positioned above the pot (6) will serve as a handle (9) to the pot (6). During extraction, the pot (6) being lying on the ground, this strap (1) then positioned upside down relative to the pot (6) serves as a handle (10) to the user who will position his foot or the two on the bottom of the pot (6) and pull towards him on the strap (1) free. The extraction will be done automatically including being alone for a large plant (8).
