Abstract
The present invention refers to a process for continuous annealing of cold-rolled stainless steel strips of various typologies of austenitic (17.0 < %Cr < 25.0; 8.5 < %Ni < 19.8) and ferritic (11.0 < %Cr < 16.0) stainless steel allowing to obtain, with maximum productivity, a high and constant end surface grade by making a low- thickness Chromium-rich oxide layer and a markedly Chromium-depleted (dechromized) layer of the underlying matrix of easy removability by pickling.
