Description

External located device for feeding liquids
The subject of the invention is an external located device for feeding liquids which is suitable for automatic external distribution of antibacterial fragrant liquid as one of the applications placed on toilet pans respectively as another application it can be used for automatic feeding of any liquid, preferably water for watering purposes.
There are quite a few solutions in the state of the art providing disinfection, air freshening of toilet pans, sanitary devices. Most of them work in such a way, that in the inner surface of the toilet pan a container containing the disinfectant or fragrant is placed. Most of the time it is either a liquid, or a solid, water soluble material, which is dissolved or washed out of the container by the flush water. The drawback of the solutions of this kind is, that the location within the toilet pan is not hygienic, not aestathic and occupies space. From the point of view of the disinfectant, resp. fragrant this location is disadvantageous as well, because the rate of the quantity dissolved can not be regulated, and in given case it is an additional disadvantage, that the material used has been continuously diluted, so the efficiency of the material deteriorates after each flush.
When working out the solution according to the invention our aim was to create a feeding device for liquids, which ensures steady, automatic distribution of disinfectant, fragrant liquids, at the same time the location of the device can be realized in a hygienic and aesthetic way, besides both production and assembly are easy.
When working out the solution according to the invention we realized, that in case the feeding device for sanitary devices and toilet pans is fixed on the external part of the toilet pan, in case on the rim of the toilet pan and said feeding device is supplied with a feeding element (preferably a fabric filament) working on the principle of capillary, said feeding element is extended to the internal part of the toilet pan from the liquid container of the feeding device, then the set aim can be achieved. Furthermore we realized, that in case the same structure is placed on the side of a plant pot and the distributing element of capillary structure is joined by a hollow unglazed ceramic top, which goes into the soil in the pot, then the automatic watering of plants can be solved.

This time the device according to the invention, is placed to the external rim 6 of the pot for the plant, by a fixing flap 5. The flexible finish of the fixing flap 5 makes it possible, that the device can be placed on rims of different widths. hi this realization a feeding element is extended to the container, which has a ceramic of capillary structure, which is kept humid all the time. This ceramic is put into the soil, in given case to the flower pot. As the humidity of the soil dicreases, the water continuously leaves the ceramic through the capillaries and so it sucks the water out of the container continuously. The feeding element is preferably led into the inner part of the fixing flap 5 as well.
Water can always be found in the hollow inside of the ceramic, as the capillary feeding element continuously drips into it. The water leaves the ceramic depending on the humidity/dryness of the soil. Until there is water in the ceramic the feeding element does not suck the water from the container, because the level is balanced. When the water level decreases in the ceramic, the corresponding quantity of water is supplied from the container.
In case of a preferred application / realization of the solution according to the invention:
The shape, material, location of the liquid container:
The shape of the liquid container is harmonizing with the form and shape of the sanitary device, in given case the toilet pan. The container has the advantage, that as it is placed externally, so its volume can be considerably increased, no frequent exchange is necessary. The material is plastic, preferably PET, made by injection moulding. It is placed either on the outer part of the toilet pan, or behind the fixing of the seat of the toilet or behind the seat.
The material and location of the feeding element: The feeding element is a lengthy, capillary structure, hollow, flexible element, which is led from the liquid container placed outside into the inner part of the toilet pan, into the stream of the flush water. The feeding element continuously sucks the fragrant, antibacterial liquid out of the liquid container, which is flushed out of the part of the feeding element extending to the toilet pan. This way similarly to the fuse of a petroleum lamp, additional quantity of fragrant, antibacterial liquid is absorbed into the feeding element through the capillary structure, which is washed out again by the next flush and shifted into the inner part of the sanitary device, to the toilet pan. This way the flush itself ensures continuous and automatic provision of the fragrant/antibacterial liquid without any direct intervention or separate arrangement.
The feeding element is preferably made of felt or other textile of natural material, which is led into a tube from the liquid container. It is necessary so it does not contaminate the side of the toilet pan, as well as it get to the appropriate place.
The shape, form and location of the fixing flap: The fixing flap joins the side of the liquid container and has such a form, that it can be snapped from the upper part to the outer rim of the toilet pan, and a part of the flap extends into below the inner rim of the toilet pan. The other part of the fixing flap joins the upper rim of the container, in given case providing the lid of the container this way.
The feeding element is led in the inner surface of the fixing flap in a preferable embodiment, and is led below the inner rim of the toilet pan by the shape of the fixing flap, so the flush water can reach it with full certainty.
The material of the fixing flap is flexible plastic, PP (polypropylene), or PE
(polyethylene)
In a preferable embodiment the fixing flap is hollow and is shaped in a way, that the feeding element of capillary structure is placed in it as well.
Preferable locations:
Container on the side of the toilet pan — drawings enclosed in three versions.
Container behind the toilet pan seat - drawings enclosed in two versions. In case of location behind the seat the feeding element extends from the lower part of the container and is led into the inner part of the toilet pan below the toilet seat. The difference between the two types is the shape and size of the container, hi case of the side location it is not possible to place a significantly bigger container, whereas in case of the back location the size of the container can be more freely chosen. Additional preferable embodiment: watering plants. The device according to the invention is placed on the side of the pot containing the plant, in given case the flower pot. The basic construction is similar to that of the placement of the container on the outer side of the toilet pan, with the difference, that the feeding element of capillary structure is not led directly to the soil in the inside of the plant pot, but a hollow unglazed ceramic top extends into the soil.
The advantages of the solution according to the invention:
It makes possible intake and distribution of a simple, hygienic, continuous and automatic external cleaning, respectively air freshening liquid. During the application the liquid is not diluted and no excess material is dispensed only as much as the flush process can absorb. The additional supply is easy and hygienic, and it does not make necessary an access to the internal part of the toilet pan. Regarding the raw materials, they make possible a simple production, the device consists of a few elements only, which can be produced from envkonmentally-friendly materials. An additional advantage, that the same feeding structure can be used for watering as well.
A hygienic exchange is made possible by the container located externally. Sufficient quantity of fragrant and antibacterial material is fed by a single technical solution. The exchange of the container can be solved by snapping in and out. hi case of a preferable emodiment the material of the container is transparent and with the help of the buttons on the side it can be removed from the holder with a single movement. In case of the other solution the container is located and fixed by a twisting movement. In case of another solution, when the device is placed on the back surface of the toilet pan, the container can be of bigger size, so a bigger quantity of stuff can be stored and so a more economical solution can be formed.
It is a further benefit, that the technical solution makes it possible, that only the necessary quantity of fragrant/disinfectant or water is distributed. A further advantage is, that the shape of the container can be freely chosen, corresponding with the fragrance and active material. In case of the solution applied for watering the watering container can make possible watering of plants requiring a lot of water, depending on the size for a whole week, so the plants can be left behind without supervision for longer periods of time. The empty container can be refilled as required.
