Abstract

A seal for a sealable product wherein the sealable product includes a fastener and a sealing device for securing said fastener, in which the sealing device comprises a locking housing having a lock opening, and a tab cover connected to the fastener and engageable with the locking housing, and a complementary locking element. The seal comprises a body portion and a waist portion linked to a pair of mutually opposed legs, in which each leg further comprises a hip on an outside edge thereof proximal to the waist. Each hip latchingly engages behind a respective shoulder provided on each side of the lock opening, and the legs are adapted to move together when inserted into the lock opening, by reducing the distance between distal ends of the legs. The legs further comprise mutually opposed complementary locking element accommodating recesses in an inner side of each leg, said locking element and complementary locking element accommodating recesses form a snap-fit arrangement.
