Abstract

A dual-protocol handheld field maintenance tool (22, 200) is provided with radio frequency communication. The radio frequency communication can be provided by virtue of an SDIO card (204) inserted within an SDIO slot (202) in the handheld field maintenance tool (22, 200). A method (300) of interacting with a process (10) using a dual-protocol handheld field maintenance tool (22, 200) is also provided.
