Abstract

The invention relates to a method of producing metal products with the appearance of bamboo, comprising three subprocesses involving: preparation of the knots (1), preparation of the metal tube (2), and painting (3), each of said subprocesses being divided into different steps. According to the invention, the knot-preparation subprocess is divided into a hammering step (4) in which the cavity or knot (11) is generated and a welding step (5) comprising the welding of a peripheral rib (12). The tube-preparation subprocess (2) is divided into a first step in which the oil of the metal (6) is cleaned and a second step in which the pores of the metal (7) are opened. Finally, the painting subprocess (3) is divided into four steps consisting in: painting the tube with yellow powder (8), painting same with brown powder (9), painting the weld (10), and applying a final layer of brown powder (16).

Description

 MANUFACTURING PROCEDURE OF METAL PRODUCTS WITH APPEARANCE OF BAMBOO

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The manufacturing process of bamboo-like metal products, object of the present invention patent, is a novel system in terms of its approach, since it allows the metallic product to be provided with physical characteristics in accordance with its new use as bamboo cane , a product that is more expensive and difficult to obtain than metal products.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

So far, a wide range of outdoor auxiliary furniture is made of natural materials such as bamboo cane, especially in warmer climates such as the Mediterranean or tropical. This product has as its main drawback that it is more difficult to obtain and therefore more expensive, because for the most part, it must be imported from the Far East, and that, in addition, like any natural product, its production is subject to The climatic variability. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The manufacturing process of bamboo-like metal products, object of the present invention patent, is intended to alleviate or, if necessary, eliminate all the problems mentioned above. Through the new manufacturing process of bamboo-like metal products we will get a simple metal tube to acquire the external characteristics of a natural bamboo cane.

To achieve this, we will establish three distinct steps, the preparation of the nodes, the preparation of the metal tube and the painting process.

In the preparation process of the nodes, we will first strike every certain distance and in different degrees from the axis of rotation of the metal tube with a round hammer, leaving on the surface of the metal tube a rounded hollow and of variable but limited depth, without never get to pierce the body. Secondly, within this subprocess we will proceed to execute a welding fence of the same metal tube material over the entire perimeter immediately below the rounded hole. These actions provide the metal tube with a metal fence and a hole that act as the natural knots of bamboo.

Once the node preparation process is finished, we will proceed to the metal tube preparation thread. Within this thread, first, we will clean the metal pipes of their own oil, and in Secondly we will open the metal pore by a standard procedure so that we can paint correctly.

Finally, we will move on to the third thread, that of painting the metal tubes previously treated by the two previous threads. First, a layer of yellow powder paint is applied on the tube itself and the assembly is allowed to dry in an oven at a temperature of 200 °. The latter actions are repeated with brown powder paint. Finally, we will paint the weld created in the first thread in black, and once dry, the brown powder paint sconce is repeated. After this, the striations of the metal tube are manually cleaned and the assembly is dried again in an oven at a temperature of 200 °, thus obtaining the final product.

As can be seen in the attached figures, the manufacturing process of bamboo-like metal products, object of the present invention patent, is composed of three main subprocesses, the preparation of the knots (1), the preparation of the metal tube (2) and the painted tube (3).

In turn, each of the processes mentioned is divided into several other steps. Thus the node preparation process (1) is divided into the punching step (4) and the welding step (5). In the step of the beating (4) the metal tube (15) is struck in different rotational degrees with a round hammer, leaving a hole or knot (11) on the metal without drilling the metal tube (15). In the welding passage (5), at a point immediately below that of the hole or node (11), an arc (12) of the same material as the tube is welded, so that the arc (12) surrounds the entire perimeter of the metal tube (15).

At the end of the welding step (5) the preparation process of the metal tube (2) begins, which is divided into two steps, the first is the oil cleaning of the metal itself (6), while the second is the step used to open the pores of the metal (7) by a standard procedure. Once this is finished, the metal pipe painting thread (3) begins, divided into four steps. The first of these steps is the one painted with yellow powder (8), where yellow powder paint is applied on the metal tube (15) and dried in an oven at 200 ° temperature. He Second step is the painted with brown powder (9), where brown powder paint is applied on the metal tube (15) and dried in an oven at 200 ° temperature. The third step is the painting of the weld (10) where the welding arc (12) created in a previous thread is painted. Once the nature of the present invention has been sufficiently described, as well as a way of putting it into practice, it only remains to be added that said invention may undergo certain variations in form and materials, as long as said alterations do not substantially vary the characteristics claimed then.

Claims

1. Procedure for manufacturing bamboo-like metal products, characterized by three threads, the node preparation process (1), the preparation of the metal tube (2) and the painting (3).
2. Method of manufacturing bamboo-like metal products, according to claim one, characterized in that the node preparation process (1) is in turn divided into two steps. In the first step or step of the beating (4) the metal tube (15) is struck in different rotational degrees with a round hammer, leaving a hole or knot (11) on the metal without drilling the metal tube (15).
