Description

INTEGRAL DENTAL BRUSH

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to the technical field of the dentistry, specifically Ia oral hygiene, as it provides a toothbrush with an integrated dentifrice has the versatility of being able to exchange a cartridge toothpaste; In addition, the brush bristles can be fixed only, or the combination of fixed and rotating bristles. Said brush can be operated manually, becoming a normal, or electrically vibrator becomes an electronic brush vibration, to provide better cleaning and massaging gums tooth.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

At the present time, the brushes have integrated toothpaste in the handle and which are rechargeable have the drawback of not having a replacement cartridge toothpaste of preference, nor a disposable cartridge, which both consist of the same brush handle and deposits dentifrice (patent MX 147,198, 169,057 MX and MX 167,275).

Although the document model MX utility 594 already describes a toothbrush with integrated dentifrice, comprising a disposable cartridge male parts that goes inside the handle of said brush; however, the problem that has to be recharged, must be done by a special process from the manufacturing of the cartridge. This brush is also electric and does not have a replacement cartridge with pasta of your choice. Otrα disadvantage of conventional brushes with integrated toothpaste, is that they have the versatility of its components are replaced, such as the motor, the handle, the head, etc., for which reason if one of these elements deteriorates, You must completely remove.

As known electric toothbrushes, these by Io usually are powered by small engines ranging within the handle of the brushes and are connected by mechanisms that provide movement in at least one direction and at least a portion of the bristles located in the head, as described Io documents MX patent applications PA / a / 2000/1338 and PA / a / 2001/6566. However, these brushes do not have integrated toothpaste much less have refillable cartridges.

By Io Therefore, in order to remove all the aforementioned drawbacks, it developed a new integrated dentifrice toothbrush, which is rechargeable and can be manual or electric; therefore they have many advantages compared to toothbrushes with toothpaste integrated and those who are just electric; which intend to protect the present application and describe in detail below.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The characteristic details of this novel toothbrush with integrated dentifrice is clearly shown in the following description and the accompanying figures, which are mentioned by way of example and should not be regarded as limiting. Brief description of the figures:

Figure 9 is a longitudinal section B - B 'of only the electric toothbrush neck. Figure 10 is a longitudinal section B - B 'of the pulp supply mechanism where the addition of the electric motor and the energy source is appreciated.

Figure 1 1 is a longitudinal section B - B 'of the supply mechanism paste electric toothbrush, where a mode of supplying electric current through a battery eliminator is seen. -A- Figure 12 is a conventional perspective view of the toothbrush with toothpaste integrated.

Figure 13 is a conventional perspective view of the toothbrush with toothpaste integrated with the electric motor and the energy source, integrated.

With reference to said figures, the toothbrush with paste retail integrated, of the present invention is constituted of:

A hollow head 1, the which can have, at its top, only fixed bristles 2, or the combination of fixed 2 and rotary three bristles, the latter being on a base shaped disc 4, rotating about a small axis 5 said base 4 can be secured by a washer 6 held by a bolt (not shown) passing through said shaft 5, but may be any other fastening means. In the inner lower part of the hollow head 1 is a cavity 7 which receives the other end of the small shaft 5, and in the part above a hole 8 allowing the passage of the dentifrice outward brush is located; finally, said head 1 has an internal thread 9 at its side opening 10, to allow the connection of a neck 11.

The neck 11 is formed of an elongated tube 12 which is inserted Ia hollow head 1 through the lateral opening 10 which has a hole 13 in such a position to match the opening 8 and thus form an outlet Ia continuous toothpaste; This tube 12 has a closed and end another open with an external thread 14 for fastening to said pipe 12 to the head 1 and also positions the hole 13 to coincide with the opening 8. This collar 11 has a tapered projection 15 with a knurled portion 16 to support external grip when a new cartridge is changed or rotated Ia hollow head 1 for passing the paste outside the brush. An internal roscα 17 is located in the open end of the neck 11, for attachment to a container of dentifrice 18.

The container of dentifrice 18 consists of a cylindrical body 19 which have a neck externally threaded 20 for coupling the inner container 18 with Ia thread 17 of the conical section 15. At the other end of the cylindrical body 19 is externally located a pin 21 to hold a spoon 22 for cleaning Ia language; 16 also carries a splined for grip; Finally, the cylindrical body has a larger threaded neck 23 opposite the opening 20, for receiving a supply mechanism 24 dentifrice.

The mechanism pulp supply 24 consists of a hollow knob 25 on its back, but ahead its diameter is reduced slightly, thus forming a kind of base 50 whose diameter must be exactly equal to the diameter of the opening 23 of the cylindrical body 19, so that the base 50 is inserted through the opening 23 tightly, so that there is better coupling between these two parts; in the central part of the base 50 a screw 26 which runs internally and longitudinally of the cylindrical body 19 extends, and said screw 26 a smooth platform 27 moves, as a plunger, which makes contact with the toothpaste and Ia is moving towards the hollow head 1 of the toothbrush. At the end of Ia hollow part 28 Ia knob 25 is an internal thread 29 to receive an external thread 30 of a cap 31, the latter has in the center pole 32 where a reel with floss 33 is inserted, the which is inside the cavity 28 once the brush is assembled.

The way how the paste travels is the following, a knob Ia 25 Ie given two or three turns counterclockwise direction clockwise, so that part of the base 50 is moved out of the cylindrical body 19, adjusting the amount of paste required; but the platform 27 does not move, and then pushes knob Ia 25 until Ia part of the base 50 that is left, it is completely inserted in the cylinder body 19 and when the platform 27 moves further into said cylinder 19 and thus drives the dentifrice towards the hollow head 1 of the brush, which leaves where are Ia bristles, for which purpose, the holes 8 and 13 must be in the exact position, one on another, respectively, so that there a continuous output of the dentifrice, therefore it is necessary that head 1 and Ia hollow neck 11, has a sign or mark, for indicating when the holes are in correct position. So it is preferred that when the signals match is that the holes are in correct position and to close the flow simply rotate Ia hollow head 1 and Io are both not match signals.

In this way we obtain a brush for dental cleaning, dentifrice integrated, rechargeable, since it suffices to refill the pulp tower 18 to the desired dentifrice, or even the container 18 can be replaced by a 'new, if that so it desired. A Ia light of what has been described so far, the brush is operated manually, and when you have only fixed bristles 2, its function is as Ia any normal brush, but when you have the combination of fixed 2 and rotating 3 bristles, the latter will focus on the friction on the gums and teeth. However, it said brush Ie can add a small conventional motor 39 as one of the embodiments of the present invention, which describe below (see Figure 6).

In this case, the small motor 39 is Ie make some modifications, one of which is that its arrow Ie prolonged to an extent that binds, slightly off center, a cone 38, which is Ie sóida in the other side a second extension diametrically opposite to the first extension, to support a cone 37. Thus, the arrangement of cones 38 and 37 is in the form of "Z" (see figures 6, 7, 10, and January 1), so that when the motor rotate your arrow, also rotate extensions and cones, but not on its own axis and thus provide more vibration to the brush. The engine is placed in a housing 40 with external thread 52 at the end where the cones 37 and 38 are for connecting with the internal thread 29 Ia knob hollow 25, the supply of paste 24. On the other end, Ia housing 40 carries internal threads 54 to receive the screw 53 of another housing 51 containing a 45 battery that provides power to the motor 39, by means of a positive contact 41 and negative 49 of the motor 39, which is joined by a cable 43. it is clear that to place the motor 39, the lid must be removed 31 and the thread spool 33, due to which cone 37 gives housed in the area 28 Ia knob 25.

However, the electric power can also be provided by a battery eliminator (not shown), for which Io is required a cover 56 with a received 55, wherein the contact eliminator (not shown) is connected; said receiver 55 the positive 41 and negative contacts 49 are attached, via cables 44 and 47, respectively (see Figure 1 1).

By Io Therefore, we can now have an electric toothbrush, which also have the characteristics and above variants, also it has vibration, which is provided by the motor 39, whereby which, besides Ia mouth care, massage is provided the gums.

Another variant of the brush is to make the rotating bristles 3 have movement, for which purpose, a long, thin 36 shaft is attached to the cone 37, which passes internally to the base 50 and the screw 26, the container dentifrice 18 and the neck 11, until reaching the hollow head 1, which binds to a small gear 35, which makes contact with another gear 34 fixed to the small shaft 5 (see figure 7). Thus, when the motor 39 to rotate the arrow, also make the thin shaft 36 to rotate and this in turn will rotate the small gear 35 and this in turn make Io same with the gear 34 and this will turn the small shaft 5, which is connected to the base of drawing 6 where the bristles 3 are rotating.

Finally, now we can have an electric toothbrush, but with rotating bristles 3 in motion, whereby which will further facilitate Ia mouth care, without needing to make circular motion gums such as Io conventional brush are made, as said rotatable bristles are responsible for such circular motion.

To fill the container of toothpaste dentifrice 18, the mechanism must extract pulp supply 24 and place the tube neck market pulp in the inlet 23 of the cylindrical body and empty the paste to fill said cylindrical body.

All these features mentioned, there are found in the brush with integrated dentifrice, or which are only electrical, conventional.
