Verfahren zum Umsetzen einer aus mehreren Produkten (P) bestehenden Produktgruppe innerhalb einer Verpa¬ ckungsmaschine mittels einer Umsetzvorrichtung (15) , wobei die Produkte (P) der Produktgruppe mittels einer Fördervorrichtung (12) nacheinander in einer Reihe der Umsetzvorrichtung (15) zugeführt und von dieser aus der Fördervorrichtung (12) entnommen werden, wobei ei¬ ne Lücke (L) in der Reihe der zugeführten Produkte (P) erkannt und geschlossen wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zum Schließen der Lücke (L) zunächst die der Lü¬ cke (L) in Förderrichtung (A) vorlaufenden Produkte (Pv) der Produktgruppe mittels der Umsetzvorrichtung (15) aus der Fördervorrichtung (12) entnommen werden und anschließend die der Lücke (L) nachlaufenden Pro¬ dukte (PN) mittels der Fördervorrichtung (12) zum Schließen der Lücke (L) vorwärts bewegt werden, wo¬ raufhin die der Lücke (L) vorlaufenden Produkte (PN) der Produktgruppe nach dem Schließen der Lücke (L) wieder in die Fördervorrichtung (12) eingesetzt werden und dann die Produktgruppe als Einheit mittels der Um¬ setzvorrichtung (15) aus der Fördervorrichtung (12) entnommen wird.1.
