Description A COOLING DEVICE
[001] This invention relates to a cooling device, which comprises a door shelf whereby the user can limit the motion of the foods, beverages and other items placed on it.
[002] In cooling devices, there is provided one or more than one shelf which is positioned inside the body or at the surface of the door facing the interior of the body whereon foods, beverages or containers are placed. While opening and closing the door, it is possible that such incidents may be observed as the rolling over or the falling from the shelf of the foods, beverages or other items in different forms and dimensions par¬ ticularly placed to the door shelves, during or after placing.
[003] In the current state of the art, in order to prevent the items placed on a shelf from falling from said shelf, the front or lateral surfaces of the shelf is produced larger or the height of the front or lateral surfaces of the shelf is increased by means of such additional components as a wire to ensure that items are prevented from falling and furthermore, it is achieved to prevent the items placed on the shelf from rolling over via dividers mounted to mentioned components.
[004] In the German Patent Application DE 10121804, a description is given of dividers whereon there are provided recesses and projections used to position such items as a bottle etc. and which are attached onto the front edge of the shelf and are ensured to move solely right and left, parallel to the lateral edges of the shelf.
[005] In the European Patent Application EP 611930, a description is given of a component made of an elastic material used to fasten bottles and the like, which is fixed to the sides of the shelf, next to the dividers attached to the shelf which can slidably move right and left.
[006] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooling device comprising a divider whereby it is achieved that items on the door shelves are prevented from moving in different directions or from falling and, which can also be attached and detached to other shelves.
[007] The cooling device designed to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is il¬ lustrated in the attached figures where:

[017] The cooling device (1) comprises at least one door (2) which can be opened and closed enabling the user to place the foods, beverages or other items to be cooled, one or more than one shelf (3) on the door (2), whereon items to be cooled are placed, a main divider (4) which can be attached onto and detached from the shelf (3), can move by sliding on the opposite short edges of the shelf (3) and be fixed at a desired position and thereby, which prevents the items placed on the shelf (3) from rolling over on the shelf (3) by constricting them and, one or more than one auxiliary divider (5) attached onto the main divider (4), which can move in different directions by rotating or sliding on the main divider (4) and can be fixed at a desired position and which prevents the items placed on the shelf (3) from rolling over on the shelf (3) by constricting them.
[018] The main divider (4) comprises a channel (8) whereby it is attached onto the shelf
(3) and whereby it can move and is stopped at desired sections.
[019] The auxiliary divider (5) comprises a divider housing (6) whereby it is attached to the main divider (4) and whereby it can move on the main divider (4) by rotating or sliding, one or more than one support (7) with lateral surfaces in such a form suitable for such circular items as a bottle, jar and the like, whereby the items are supported to prevent them from rolling over and whereby said items are kept at desired sections on the shelf (3) and, a surface (9) whereon writings, marks, symbols and similar printings can be performed in order to obtain an aesthetic view from the front, if desired.
[020] In the embodiment, which is the object of the present invention, the main divider
(4) is attached onto the shelf (3) so that the channel (8) can move along the edges of the shelf (3). After the main divider (4) is mounted, auxiliary dividers (5) are positioned on the main divider (4) so that they fit into the divider housing (6). As the user moves the main divider (4), the main divider (4) starts to narrow the space on the shelf (3) until it reaches the item on mentioned shelf (3) and so constricts the item. The
motion of said item in other directions is restricted by means of the auxiliary dividers (5) moved on a support. Auxiliary dividers (5) are rotated around the main divider (4) with respect to the position of the item to be constricted and at the same time, ensure that the item is constricted by being slid on the main divider (4).
[021] By means of the application of the present invention, it is achieved to prevent the items placed on the shelf (3) from rolling over and, to keep said items standing at a desired position on the shelf (3). Moreover, if desired, the main divider (4) and / or the auxiliary divider can easily be demounted from the shelf (3) and attached to another shelf (3). Thereby, it is accomplished that items in different sizes, placed on the shelf (3) are prevented from rolling over by being constricted and that users can utilize the shelves (3) as desired. In the afore-mentioned application, also, advantages are obtained during manufacturing, concerning the manufacturing period and cost.
