Abstract

The little ergonomic keyboard consists of symmetrical hexagonal buttons (12) arranged in the form of 'bee honeycomb'; that is, densely packed symmetrical hexagonal buttons, arranged in 7 horizontal rows (11), with 9, 10, 11, 10, 9, 8, 3 buttons respectively (including 'the space' button (13) in the middle), 60 buttons totally (12) on the whole keyboard (10). The keyboard (10) itself has irregular hexagonal shape and it is symmetrical in regard to its vertical section (18). During the typing on the keyboard (10), arms and hands (15) aren't in parallel position, but they are apart under the angle of sixty degrees, and the points of finger (14) - button (10) contact during the typing are not in line, but in shape of a broken line (16), proportionally to the fingers' (14) and hands' (15) length. Besides, the arrangement of letters, special characters and functional tasters (12) on the keyboard (10) is minimally different from the similar arrangements, on the known standard keyboards.

Description

SMALL ERGONOMIC COM PUTER KEYBOARD WITH BUTTONS IN FORM OF "BEE HONEYCOMB"

Tehnical Field Invention refers to computer industry, exactly to device for recording of data into computer, in other words to the keyboard. According to the International patent classification its sign is G 06 C 7/02. The invention solves the problem of construction of ergonomic keyboard for personal computers, note books, sub note books and tablet PCs where buttons are arranged in the form of "bee honeycomb", which enables the most natural position of arms, hands and fingers during the typing and provides the smallest area of keyboard and the device itself.

Background Art Standard keyboards enables recording the data into computer by alternating pushing the buttons (typing). Buttons are mostly of rectagonal shape, but they can be approximately trapeziumal shape, or approximately rounded or rounded. The keyboard itself is the most often of the rectangular shape, but there are also so called "natural keyboards" which are cut along their vertical section and those halves are slightly rotated because of comfortable typing, so that between them there is unused space in the form of triangle which enlarges their size and disables their using in note books, tablet PCs and similar devices, at which t e small dimension is very important. Known standard keyboards have 102 buttons.

Disclosure of the Invention Keyboard consists of symmetrical hexagonal buttons arranged in the form of "bee honeycomb"; that is densely packed symmetrical hexagonal buttons, arranged in 7 horizontal rows, so that starting from the upper row, every next row to the fourth one is moved for the length of half the button to the left, and from the fourth to the seventh for half the button to the right. In the first horizontal row there are 9 buttons, in the second 10, the third 11 , the fourth 10, the fifth 9, the sixth 8 and in the seventh there are 3 including "the space" button in the middle, totally 60 buttons on the whole keyboard. The keyboard itself has irregular hexagonal shape, about a third wider than higher and symmetrical in regard to its vertical section. The advantage of this invention is that during the typing, arms and hands aren't in parallel position, they are apart under the angle of sixty degrees, and the points of finger-button contact during the typing are not in line, but in shape of broken line, proportionally to the finger's length, which provides the best position of the arms, hands and fingers during typing. Besides, the arrangement of letters, special characters and functional tasters minimally differs from the arrangement of letters, special characters and functional buttons on the known keyboards, so people who already know "blind typing" will find it very easy to transfer to this keyboard. The advantage is in minimizing the whole keyboard area and the device itself, which is especially important for note books and tablet PCs. Short description of the figures The invention is detail described on the example of the implementation, showed on the figures in which: Fig. 1 - shows the axonometrical review of individual button, Fig. 2 - shows the axonometrical review of the "space" button, Fig. 3 - shows the overview of the keyboard, Fig. 4 - shows the overview of the hands(arms) and fingers' position on the keyboard during the typing, Fig. 5 - shows lateral look onto the example of the way of implementation the keyboard into the note book. Detailed description of the invention As it is seen on the Fig. 1 , the top area (1) of the button is in the shape of regular hexagon, slightly rounded on the edges. From the top area to the lateral sides (3), which are rectangle shaped, prolong diagonally across between areas (2), trapeze shaped. In the middle of the bottom side of the button there is a holder (4) by which the buttons are connected to the keyboard, but it is not visible during the use, so I will not explain it detail. As it is seen on the Fig. 2, the top area (5) of the "space" button is in the shape of irregular hexagon, whose top edge is the cogged. From the top area to the lateral sides (3), which are rectangle shaped, prolong diagonally across between areas (2), trapeze shaped. In the middle of the bottom side of the button there is a holder (4) by which the buttons are connected to the keyboard, but it is not visible during the use, so I will not explain it detailly. As it is seen on the Fig. 3, the keyboard itself has irregular hexagonal shape, with 7 horizontal rows (11), of symmetrical hexagonal buttons, arranged so that starting from the upper row, every next row to the fourth one is moved for the length of half the button to left, and from the fourth to the seventh for half the button to right. In the first horizontal row there are 9 buttons, in the second 10, the third 11 , the fourth 10, the fifth 9, the sixth 8 and in the seventh there are 3 (one hexagonal button (12) at the beginning and at the end of the row and "the space" button in the middle) 60 buttons (12) tottaly on the whole keyboard. The arrangement of letters, special characters and functional tasters minimally differs from the arrangement of letters, special characters and functional buttons on the known keyboards. As it is seen on the picture 3 buttons (12) are arranged in the form of "bee honeycomb", that is densely packed symmetrical hexagonal buttons. Fig. 4 shows position of fingers (14) and hands (15) on the keyboard (10) during the typing, arms and hands (15) aren't in parallel position, but they are apart under the angle of sixty degrees, and the points of finger-button contact during the typing are not in line, but in shape of broken line (16), proportionally to the finger's length. Fig. 3 shows an area (margin) (17) against which hands are leant, during the typing.

The way of industrial or other application of the patent One of the ways of industrial application is on the example of derivation on the picture 5 on which us shown the way of implementation of the keyboard (19) into the note book (20).

Claims

1. The little ergonomic keyboard consists of symmetrical hexagonal buttons (12), characterized by the fact that the buttons are in the form of symmetrical hexagons, arranged in the form of the "bee honeycomb", and in 7 horizontal rows (11), so that starting from the upper row (11), every next row to the fourth one is moved for the length of half the button (12) to left, and from the fourth to the seventh for half the button (12) to right; so in the first horizontal row there are 9 buttons (12), in the second 10, in the third 11 , in the fourth 10, in the fifth 9, in the sixth 8 and in the seventh there are 3 (including "the space" button (13) in the middle) 60 buttons (12) totally on the whole keyboard (10).
2. The keyboard, by the claim 1 , characterized by its irregular hexagonal shape and it is symmetrical in regard to its vertical section (18).
3. The keyboard, by the claim 1 , characterized by the position of the letters, special characters and buttons (12) on the keyboard (10) as it is illustrated on the Fig. 3.
4. The keyboard, by the claim 3, characterized by the fact that fingers (14) lean on the buttons in shape of broken line (16), proportionally to their length.
5. The keyboard, by the claim 3, characterized by the fact that during the typing, arms and hands (15) are apart under the angle of sixty degrees.
