Abstract

The invention relates to a coffee machine (110) having a drawer (122, 210) which can be pushed into the coffee machine (110) in a substantially horizontal manner with the coffee pad inserted therein so as to supply the machine with a coffee pad. In order to provide a simple and reliable possibility for supplying the coffee pad to and removing it from the coffee machine (110), a coffee pad retainer (220) is located in the drawer (122, 210) and is at least partially encircled, in the pushed-in state of the drawer (122, 210), by a retaining device that can be displaced in a substantially vertical manner so that the coffee pad retainer (220) can be lifted by means of the retaining device. When the coffee pad retainer (220) is lifted, a brewing chamber (330) enclosing the coffee pad is formed.

Description

Beschreibung Kaffeemaschine mit einer Schublade zum Zuführen eines Kaffeepads Description Coffee machine with a drawer for feeding a coffee pod
The invention relates to a coffee machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
Aus diesem Kaffeefilter kann der Filterkaffee bei atmosphäriQschem Druck dann in eine Kanne fließen.[002] Coffee machines of the prior art work according to different principles. The most common models are the so-called pressureless coffee machines. With these, water flows from a storage tank into an electrically heatable pipe. In particular, due to the development of steam in this tube, heated water is then pressed through a riser to an outlet through which the heated water then drips into a coffee filter. From this coffee filter, the filter coffee can then flow into a jug at atmospheric pressure.
In contrast, there is an increased pressure in the area of ground coffee, for example 15 bar, in espresso machines. This is achieved by supplying water from a water container or another water supply to an electric motor-driven pump, which then supplies the water under high pressure to a coffee grounds receiving device via an electrically heatable area. This ground coffee intake device generally comprises a sieve for receiving the coffee. To generate the high pressure in the area of the coffee, the coffee grinder is arranged during operation in an area which is sealed off from the atmosphere and which can be referred to as the pressure chamber or brewing chamber.
In another coffee machine that works in principle differently, it is provided that the water for preparing the coffee is first transferred from a water container into a heatable intermediate container. The heated water passes from this intermediate container to an electric motor-driven pump, from which it is fed to a ground coffee intake device under increased pressure, for example 2 to 3 bar. It is provided that, unlike in the case of the espresso machine, the coffee is not introduced in loose form as ground coffee into the ground coffee receiving device, but instead is placed in a holder in the form of a coffee pad, that is to say in a compressed form surrounded by filter paper. The holder can form a sealed pressure chamber with a holder cover via which water is supplied. The holder for the coffee pods has several functions. On the one hand, the holder provides a sealing surface, so that a pressure chamber can be formed. The holder also has an outlet opening from which the coffee can escape. Furthermore, the coffee pad should be stored in the holder in such a way that the flow through the coffee pad is not hindered. Such a coffee machine occupies an intermediate position between a conventional unpressurized coffee machine and an espresso machine.
The coffee pods are inserted into a lower part of the brewing chamber, and the upper part of the brewing chamber can be hinged onto the lower part by the user, a snap-in connection between the two housing parts which can be folded relative to one another ensuring that the brewing chamber is sealed. The problem with this system is that the coffee pad can stick to the upper part of the brewing chamber after opening the coffee machine. Another problem can arise if the coffee machine is actuated in the open state, since the hot water can then spray toward the user of the coffee machine.
Insbesondere aufgrund der motorisch angetriebenen Bauteile der Kaffeemaschine ist diese in der Fertigung sehr aufwendig und daher teuer.[006] EP 1 050 258 AI discloses a coffee machine in which coffee pods are inserted into a drawer that has been pulled out and then brought into the brewing position by moving the drawer in. To seal the brewing chamber, a brewing chamber upper part is automatically moved from above to practice the coffee pad. After the brewing process, the coffee pods are automatically disposed of in a collection container inside the coffee machine. In particular due to the motor-driven components of the coffee machine, this is very complex to manufacture and therefore expensive.
The invention has for its object to provide a simple solution for the supply and removal of coffee pods available, in particular the risk of splashing out of hot water should be eliminated, and in which there is no possibility that a coffee pad on the top of the brewing chamber sticks.
[008] Diese Aufgabe wird mit den Merkmalen der unabhängigen Ansprüche gelöst.[008] This object is achieved with the features of the independent claims.
[009] Vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen der Erfindung sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen angeDgeben.[009] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are given in the dependent claims.
The invention builds on the generic coffee machine in that a coffee pad holder arranged in the drawer is at least partially embraced by at least one essentially vertically displaceable holding device in the inserted state of the drawer, so that the coffee pad holder can be lifted with the holding device, and that by lifting the coffee pad holder a brewing chamber surrounding the coffee pad is formed. Due to the use of a drawer to feed the coffee pod, there is no need to move the water supply. This therefore remains in a position in which escaping water runs down or splashes and in particular not in the direction of the user. By forming the brewing chamber only after the coffee pad holder has been lifted, the drawer can be inserted or removed from the coffee machine without hindrance by the sealing means. When the drawer is pulled out, the coffee pad cannot stick to the top of the brewing chamber, as it is stripped off by the pull-out movement.
It is usefully provided that the holding device has two clamps which surround the coffee pod holder on opposite sides and which can be raised or lowered by a lever mechanism. This is a simple design of the holding device, which also enables a controlled lifting and thus a controlled sealing of the brewing chamber.
The coffee machine according to the invention is advantageously further developed in that each clamp has an extension at its lower end, which acts on the coffee pad holder with an upward force when the holding device is raised. Here, too, it should be noted that there is a particularly simple solution. In particular, it can be provided that the extensions reach under the coffee pad holder. When the holding device is lowered, the coffee pad holder is therefore moved into its lowered position by gravity.
However, it can also be provided that at least one of the clamps has a further extension, which acts on the coffee pad holder with a downward force when the holding device is lowered. This can ensure that jamming of the coffee pad holder in its raised position is unproblematic since the coffee pad holder is actively carried along when the holding device is lowered.
It is usefully provided that the lever mechanism has a hand-operated lever which is arranged on the top of the coffee machine. The manual actuation of the lever and thus the holding device is a particularly cost-effective solution compared to automatically driven lowering or lifting devices. The arrangement of the lever on the top of the coffee machine allows easy access and is therefore user-friendly Solution.
The invention is based on the finding that a reliable and user-friendly supply option for coffee pods is provided by a coffee pad holder that can be raised and lowered in a horizontally feedable drawer.

Above the insertion area 120, a water supply and a holder cover are arranged inside the housing, which together with the holder sitting in the drawer 122 forms the brewing chamber. This is sealed after inserting the drawer 122 by turning the lever 124 and thereby raising the clamps 126, 128 by pressing the holder and holder cover together.
The carrier designed as a drawer 210 has a bottom region 212 and a raised edge region 214, 216. Furthermore, guide projections 218 are provided which allow the drawer 210 to be inserted into the lighten thrust area 120 (see Figure lb). The coffee pad holder 220 is inserted into the drawer 210. In the middle of the coffee pad holder 220, an outlet opening 222 can be seen. FIG. 2b shows a side view of a drawer with a coffee pad holder inserted. It can be seen here that the drawer 210 is made with little material and holds the coffee pad holder 220 in a form-fitting manner. The coffee pad holder 220 itself has a peripheral edge 224, and the bottom region 226 of the coffee pad holder 220 is designed to be inclined towards the center, that is to say toward the outlet opening 222. The bottom area 226 can be provided with spacers, not shown here, which can be formed, for example, by knobs or circular segments with different pitch angles. It is also possible to place a grid, for example a wire grid, on the bottom area 226 and thus ensure a distance between the coffee pad and the bottom area 226.
Numerous details of the coffee machine according to the invention are shown. In particular, the brewing chamber 330 formed from the coffee pad holder 320 and a holder cover 328 can be seen. The holding cover 328 is preferably made of elastic silicone, while the coffee pad holder 320 is made of hard plastic. As a result, a sealed pressure chamber or a sealed brewing chamber 330 can be formed by pressing the coffee pod holder 320 onto the holder cover 328. The water required for the preparation of the coffee is fed to a channel 332 above the brewing chamber 330, and from there it reached the brewing chamber 330 through openings, not shown, in the holder cover 328. Furthermore, projections 334 can be provided on the holder cover 328, which hold the inserted coffee pad press against the coffee pad holder 320. The coffee pad holder 320 is pressed against the holder cover 328 by lifting the clamps 336, 338. These clamps 336, 338 engage under the coffee pad holder 320 with extensions at their lower end and rest with extensions on the opposite end on end regions of a shaft 340. These end regions of the shaft 340 have a larger diameter in the section plane than perpendicular to the section plane, so that the clamps 336, 338 can be lowered by rotating the shaft by 90 °. This also lowers the coffee pad holder 220, whereupon it can be removed from the coffee machine together with the drawer.
