I claim:
1) An article useful for organizing various and sundry items used by students, which article is capable of being readily attached and detached from the interior walls of a locker cabinet, said article comprising: a) a plurality of adjacent panels, each of said panels having a front face, a rear face, a left side portion, a right side portion, a top side portion, and a bottom side portion, wherein said plurality of panels comprises a first panel portion and a second panel portion, wherein the right side portion of said first panel portion is hingedly attached to the left side portion of said second panel portion so as to provide a foldable construct having a front face and a rear face, b) at least one pocket disposed on said front face of said foldable construct; c) means for attachment of said construct to a vertical surface; and d) means for maintaining said foldable construct in a folded position.
2) An article according to claim 1 wherein said panels are of a single-ply construction comprising a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, woven polymers, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, polymer films, and plastic vinyl.
3) An article according to claim 1 comprising at least one pocket disposed on the front face of at least one of said panels.
4) An article according to claim 1 wherein said means for maintaining said article in a folded position comprises a means selected from the group consisting of: i) a complimentary pair of hook and loop fastener, wherein one unit of said pair is disposed on either the front or rear face of one of said adjacent panels; and ii) a magnetic means.
5) An article according to claim 1 wherein said front face of said panels of said article comprise a single sheet of fabric.
6) An article according to claim 1 wherein said means for attachment of said construct to a wall comprises a hook-and-loop fastener disposed on said rear face of said foldable construct.
7) An article according to claim 6 wherein said hook and loop fastener comprises a strip of hook and loop fastener which is disposed with its length dimension running substantially parallel to said top side portion of at least one of said panel portions.
8) An article according to claim 1 wherein said panels are of a two-ply construction, comprising a first ply and a second ply, wherein at least one of said first ply and said second ply comprises a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, woven polymers, non-woven fabrics, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, polymer films, and plastic vinyl.
9) An article according to claim 8 wherein said means for attachment of said construct to a wall comprises a hook-and-loop fastener disposed on said rear face of said foldable construct.
10) An article according to claim 8 wherein said means for attachment of said article to a wall comprises one or more magnets, disposed either between said first ply and said second ply of at least one of said panels, or to an exterior surface of said article.
11) An article according to any of claims 8 to 10 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply.
12) An article according to claim 11 wherein said reinforcing material comprises a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of: cardboard, wood, metal, polypropylene, composites, polymer sheets, and polyethylene.
13) An article according to any of claims 9, 11, or 12 wherein said hook and loop fastener is a strip of hook and loop fastener which is disposed with its length dimension running substantially parallel to said top side portion of at least one of said panel portions.
14) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said means for attachment of said construct to a wall comprises a magnet disposed in a location selected from the group consisting of: i) between said first ply and said second ply; and ii) the exterior of the rear surface of said article.
15) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said means for maintaining said foldable construct in a folded position comprises a means selected from the group consisting of: i) a complimentary pair of hook and loop fastener, wherein one unit of said pair is disposed on the front face of one of said adjacent panels; and ii) a magnetic means.
16) An article useful for organizing various and sundry items used by students, which article is capable of being readily attached and detached from the interior walls of a locker cabinet, said article comprising: a) a plurality of adjacent panels, each of said panels having a front face, a rear face, a left side portion, a right side portion, a top side portion, and a bottom side portion, wherein said plurality of panels comprises a first panel portion, a second panel portion, and a third panel portion, wherein the right side portion of said first panel portion is hingedly attached to the left side portion of said second panel portion, and wherein the right side portion of said second panel portion is hingedly attached to the left side portion of said third panel portion, so as to provide a foldable construct having a front face and a rear face, b) at least one pocket disposed on said front face of said foldable construct; c) means for attachment of said construct to a wall; and d) means for maintaining said foldable construct in a folded position.
17) An article according to claim 16 wherein said panels are of a single-ply construction comprising a fabric material selected from the group consisting of:
woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, woven polymers, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, polymer films, and plastic vinyl.
18) An article according to claim 16 comprising at least one pocket disposed on the front face of at least one of said panels.
19) An article according to claim 16 wherein said means for maintaining said article in a folded position comprises a means selected from the group consisting of: i) a complimentary pair of hook-and-loop fastener, wherein one unit of said pair is disposed on either the front or rear face of either said first or third panels; and ii) a magnetic means.
20) An article according to claim 16 wherein said front face of said panels of said article comprise a single sheet of fabric.
21) An article according to claim 16 wherein said means for attachment of said construct to a wall comprises a hook-and-loop fastener disposed on said rear face of said foldable construct.
22) An article according to claim 21 wherein said hook and loop fastener comprises a strip of hook and loop fastener which is disposed with its length dimension running substantially parallel to said top side portion of at least one of said panel portions.
23) An article according to claim 16 wherein said panels are of a two-ply construction, comprising a first ply and a second ply, wherein at least one of said first
ply and said second ply comprises a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, woven polymers, non-woven fabrics, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, polymer films, and plastic vinyl.
24) An article according to claim 23 wherein said means for attachment of said article to a wall comprises a hook-and-loop fastener on said rear face of said foldable construct.
25) An article according to claim 23 wherein said means for attachment of said article to a wall comprises one or more magnets, disposed either between said first ply and said second ply of at least one of said panels, or attached to an exterior surface of said article.
26) An article according to any of claims 23-25 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply of at least one of said plurality of panels.
27) An article according to claim 26 wherein said reinforcing material comprises a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of: cardboard, wood, metal, composites, polypropylene, polymer sheets, and polyethylene.
28) An article according to any of claims 24, 26, or 27 wherein said hook-and-loop fastener is a strip of hook-and-loop fastener which is disposed with its length dimension running substantially parallel to said top side portion of at least one of said panel portions.
29) An article according to any of claims 16-28 wherein said means for attachment of said article to a wall comprises a magnet disposed in a location selected from the group consisting of: i) between said first ply and said second ply; and ii) on the exterior of the rear surface of said article.
30) An article according to any of claims 16-29 wherein said means for maintaining said foldable construct in a folded position comprises a means selected from the group consisting of: i) a complimentary pair of hook and loop fastener, wherein one unit of said pair is disposed on the rear face of one of said adjacent panels; and ii) a magnetic means.
31) An article useful for storing various and sundry items in an organized fashion, which article comprises: b) a plurality of adjacent panels, each of said panels having a front face, a rear face, a left side portion, a right side portion, a top side portion, and a bottom side portion; wherein said plurality of panels comprises a first panel portion and a second panel portion, wherein the right side portion of said first panel portion is hingedly attached to the left side portion of said second panel portion so as to provide a foldable construct having a front face and a rear face; and b) at least one magnet means, wherein said magnet means is of sufficient strength to cause said construct to be adhered to a vertical metallic surface with which said construct is contacted without sliding down said vertical surface.
32) An article according to claim 31 wherein said magnet means is disposed on a surface selected from the group consisting of: the front face portion of said foldable construct and the rear face portion of said foldable construct.
33) An article according to claim 31 wherein said at least one magnet means comprises a plurality of individual magnets.
34) An article according to claim 33 wherein said plurality of magnets comprises at least two magnets, wherein each of said two magnets are each substantially in a different one of the four corners of said construct.
35) An article according to claim 33 wherein said plurality of magnets comprises four magnets, wherein each of said four magnets are disposed so that each magnet is substantially in a different one of the four corners of said construct.
36) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said panels are comprised of a single-ply construction comprising a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, and plastic vinyl.
37) An article according to either of claims 34 or 35 wherein said magnets are oriented with respect to one another such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portions of two adjacent panels are facing one another, by the force of attraction of the magnets disposed in said corners for one another.
38) An article according to any foregoing claim comprising at least one pocket disposed on the front face of one of said panels.
39) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said front face of said panels of said device comprise a single sheet of fabric.
40) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said panels are of a two-ply construction, comprising a first ply and a second ply.
41) An article according to claim 40 wherein at least one of said first ply and said second ply comprises a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, non- woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, and plastic vinyl.
42) An article according to claim 40 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply of one of said panels.
43) An article according to claim 40 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply of both of said panels.
44) An article according to either of claims 42 or 43 wherein said reinforcing material comprises a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of: cardboard, wood, polypropylene, a ferromagnetic metal, polyethylene, and combinations including any two of the foregoing.
45) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said at least one magnet means is disposed between said first ply and said second ply.
46) An article according to claim 40 wherein said magnet means comprises at least two magnets which are oriented with respect to one another such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portions of two adjacent panels are facing one another, by the force of attraction of the magnets disposed in said corners for one another.
47) An article according to claim 44 wherein said reinforcing material is a sheet of a ferromagnetic metal and wherein said magnet means are oriented such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portions of two adjacent panels are facing one another, by the force of attraction of at least one of said magnet means for said ferromagnetic reinforcing material.
48) An article useful for storing various and sundry in an organized fashion, which device comprises: a) a plurality of adjacent panels, each of said panels having a front face, a rear face, a left side portion, a right side portion, a top side portion, and a bottom side portion, wherein said plurality of panels comprises a first panel portion, a second panel portion, and a third panel portion, wherein the right side portion of said first panel portion is hingedly attached to the left side portion of said second panel portion, and wherein the right side portion of said second panel portion is hingedly attached to the
left side portion of said third panel portion, so as to provide a foldable construct having a front face and a rear face, b) at least one magnet means, wherein said magnet means is of sufficient strength to cause said construct to be adhered to a vertical metallic surface with which said construct is contacted without sliding down said vertical surface.
49) An article according to claim 48 wherein said magnet means is disposed on a surface selected from the group consisting of: the front face portion of said foldable construct and the rear face portion of said foldable construct.
50) An article according to claim 48 wherein said at least one magnet means comprises a plurality of individual magnets.
51) An article according to claim 50 wherein said plurality of magnets comprises at least two magnets, wherein each of said two magnets are each substantially disposed in a different one of the four corners of said construct.
52) An article according to claim 50 wherein said plurality of magnets comprises four magnets, wherein each of said four magnets are disposed so that each magnet is substantially in a different one of the four corners of said construct.
53) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said panels are comprised of a single-ply construction comprising a fabric material selected from the group
consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, non-woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, and plastic vinyl.
54) An article according to any foregoing claim comprising at least one pocket disposed on the front face of one of said panels.
55) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said front face of said panels of said device comprise a single sheet of fabric.
56) An article according to any foregoing claim wherein said panel portions are of a two-ply construction, having a first ply and a second ply.
57) an article according to claim 56 wherein said two-ply construction comprises a first ply and a second ply, wherein at least one of said first ply and said second ply comprises a fabric material selected from the group consisting of: woven cotton, woven nylon, non-woven fabrics, non- woven polymer webs, canvas, denim, and plastic vinyl.
58) An article according to either of claims 56 or 57 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply of any one of said panels.
59) An article according to either of claims 56 or 57 further comprising a reinforcing material disposed between said first ply and said second ply of: any two of, or all three of said panels.
60) An article according to either of claims 58-59 wherein said reinforcing material comprises a sheet of material selected from the group consisting of: cardboard, wood, polypropylene, a feπomagnetic metal, polyethylene, and combinations including any two of the foregoing.
61) An article according to any of claims 56-60 wherein said at least one magnet means is disposed between said first ply and said second ply of any one or more of said panel portions.
62) An article according to any of claims 56-60 wherein said at least one magnet means comprises at least two magnets, wherein each of said two magnets are each substantially disposed in a different one of the four corners of said construct, between the plies of which the panel portions are comprised.
63) An article according to any of claims 56-60 wherein said at least one magnet means comprises four magnets, wherein each of said four magnets are disposed so that each magnet is substantially in a different one of the four corners of said construct, between the plies of which the panel portions are comprised.
64) An article according to claim 56 wherein said magnet means comprises at least two magnets which are disposed between said first ply and said second ply of the foldable construct and are oriented with respect to one another such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portion of one of said panels contacts the rear face portion of another of said panels, by the force of attraction of the magnets disposed between said plies for one another.
65) An article according to claim 60 wherein said reinforcing material is a sheet of a ferromagnetic metal and wherein said magnet means are oriented such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portions of one of said panels contacts the rear face portion of another of said panels, by the force of attraction of at least one of said magnet means for said ferromagnetic reinforcing material disposed between the plies of a panel.
66) An article according to claim 60 wherein said reinforcing material is a sheet of a ferromagnetic metal and wherein said magnet means are oriented such that said foldable construct is caused to remain closed upon its being folded such that the front face portions of one of said panels contacts the front face portion of another of said panels, by the force of attraction of at least one of said magnet means for said ferromagnetic reinforcing material disposed between the plies of a panel.
67) An article according to any foregoing claim which comprises a mirror on the front face portion at least one of said panel portions.
68) An article according to any foregoing claim comprising at least one pocket disposed on the front face of one of said panel portions.
