  • the present invention also relates to a driver ' s cab in accordance with the preamble to the following patent claim 2.
  • Cab bodies for vehicle cabs for trucks are traditionally assembled as an entity by welding together different parts of the cab body, i.e. a front part, side parts, bottom part and rear part, after which the cab body is transported to the paint shop. All the internal components are then installed, such as the inner front unit with most of the driver functions, seats, trim panels, etc. These components are introduced into the inner space of the cab body through one or both of the door openings in the side parts of the cab body. This has become increasingly unfavorable from the point of view of the working environment because several of these units are pre-assembled and are accordingly heavy and unwieldy.
  • the inner front unit may be constructed on a bearer in the form of a framework structure or a sheet-metal structure, which must be introduced together with the entire unit from the side and fixed in a specific position before being attached to the cab body by means of a connection of some kind, such as fixing elements or adhesive or a combination of both types .
