Abstract

Method for forming an endless metal belt (10) provided with a surface profile, in particular intended for use in a push belt, in which the belt (10) in a first step is fitted in unrolled form over at least two rotatable supporting rolls (6, 7), in a second step is positioned between two rotatable rolling rolls (7, 11) located opposite one another, and in a third process step is subjected to a rolling force (Fu) exerted between the rolling rolls (7,11) for a number of revolutions of the belt (10) which is imposed by at least one of the rolls (6, 7, 11), in which method at least one of the two rolling rolls (7, 11), specifically the profiling roll (7), is provided with a surface profile. A device for forming such a belt, a profiling roll intended for use in said device and a push belt produced by said method are also disclosed.
