A foldable bookshelf is quickly assembled and disassembled so that it is convenient to transport and store and it is possible to manufacture at low cost. The bookshelf includes a main body including a rear wall, foldable sidewalls, and cutout holes, a partition having a supporting plate and inserting portions, a fixing device, and a reinforcing device for reinforcing the main body. Since the main body is integrated and the partition is fixed by the fixing device, it is convenient to assemble and disassemble. The sidewalls and the partition are folded twice so that the stiffness of the bookshelf is increased. Moreover, the bookshelf is folded along the bending lines and the folding lines so that the bookshelf can be kept in a small space and is convenient to transport.

Description

Description FOLDABLE PAPER BOOKSHELF Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a foldable bookshelf, and more particularly, to a foldable paper bookshelf whose volume is minimized and which is made of recyclable paper so that, since the assembly and disassembly thereof can be quickly performed, its transportation and maintenance are convenient, and since the foldable bookshelf can mass-produced at low cost and can maintain proper stiffness, it is possible to put books on the bookshelf and display other things. [2] Generally, bookshelves serve to store books in a space such as a room, a living room, or the like, and/or to accommodate and/or display various things. As such, bookshelves can be utilized for various purposes and their necessity is also increasing.
[3] The conventional bookshelves are mainly made of metal, wood, or synthetic resin. However, since the procedures for manufacturing a metal or wooden bookshelf, that is, procedures from preparation and processing of raw materials to shipping are complicated, costs for the raw materials and processing fee thereof are increased so as to increase manufacturing costs. Snce the raw materials are heavy, it is very inconvenient to transport and handle the raw materials and the finished bookshelf. Moreover, the conventional bookshelf may not be recyclable or may be expensive to dispose of.
[4] Further, though the synthetic bookshelf is cheaper than the metal or wooden bookshelf in view of raw materials and is convenient to transport and handle because of light weight, the synthetic bookshelf is weak against external shock and may not be recyclable or may be expensive to dispose of so as to contaminate the environment.
[5] In addition, since the conventional bookshelf has various components and as a result it is difficult to disassemble the convention bookshelf, and it is inconvenient to change the structure of the conventional bookshelf according to a user's wish. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a foldable paper bookshelf whose volume is minimized and which is made of recyclable paper so that, since the assembly and disassembly thereof can be quickly performed, its transportation and maintenance are convenient, and since the foldable bookshelf can mass-produced at low cost and can maintain proper stiffness, it is possible to put books on the bookshelf and display other things. [7] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a foldable paper bookshelf including a main body having a rear wall, a pair of sidewalls folded at both sides of the rear wall, and plural rows of cutout holes formed on the rear wall and the sidewalls, a partition having a supporting plate installed inside the main body and accommodating things, and inserting portions protruded from the supporting plate to be inserted into the cutout holes and formed with protrusions at both sides thereof, a fixing device having an open side for fixing the partition to the outer side of the main body and receiving the inserting portions, and a reinforcing device for reinforcing the main body and having an open side and an open end so that the reinforcing device may be inserted into the upper and lower ends of the sidewalls.
[8] The main body is formed with bending lines and folding lines between the rear wall and the sidewalls and folded inward along the bending lines and the folding lines at a right angle, and the sidewalls are folded outward to closely contact the rear wall.
[9] The sidewalls have upper and lower ends shorter than the rear wall, on which the reinforcing means is placed, and cutout portions formed by cutting four corners thereof.
[10] The sidewalls and the partition are folded twice to respectively have dual layers bonded with adhesive.
[11] The fixing device includes fixing portions engaged with protrusions of the inserting portions and tapered inward so as to prevent the partition from being separated, cutout recesses formed at both sides of the fixing device and allowing easy insertion of the fixing portions, and penetrating holes formed at opposite to the cutout recesses and allowing easy rotation of the fixing portions.
[12] The partition has coated surfaces and dual layers of corrugated cardboard therein. Advantageous Effects
[13] As described above, according to the foldable paper bookshelf of the present invention, since the main body is integrated, and the partition is easily inserted into the main body and fixed by the fixing device, the foldable paper bookshelf is conveniently assembled and disassembled and manufacturing costs are low. [14] Moreover, since the foldable paper bookshelf includes a reinforcing device and the sidewalls and a dual layer partition, the stiffness of the foldable paper bookshelf is increased so that a variety of things can be accommodated therein. [15] Further, since the foldable paper bookshelf according to the present invention is folded along the bending lines and the folding lines, the foldable paper bookshelf can be kept in a small space and is easily transported. [16] In addition, since surfaces of the foldable paper bookshelf are coated with various colors, the foldable paper bookshelf according to the present invention can be used in humid conditions and has an aesthetically pleasing appearing. [26] As shown in Figs. 2 to 4, the foldable paper bookshelf according to the present invention includes a main body 10, a partition formed at the inside of the main body 10, a fixing device 30 for fixing the partition 20, and reinforcing devices 40 inserted into upper and lower ends of side walls 12 and reinforcing the main body 10.
[27] The main body 10 includes a rear wall 11, a pair of sidewalls 12 extended and bent from the rear wall 11, and cutout holes 13 having three cutout holes in a row and four cutout holes in a column.
[28] The main body 10 is manufactured such that the sidewalls 12 are inwardly bent at a right angle between the sidewalls 12 and the rear wall 11 along bending lines 11a formed between the rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12 and folding lines 1 lb opposite to the bending lines 11a, the sidewalls 12 are folded to closely contact the rear wall 11, and the surface thereof is coated.
[29] The sidewalls 12 have upper and lower ends shorter than the rear wall 11, where the reinforcing devices 40 are placed, and cutout portions 12a formed by cutting four corners thereof. The sidewalls 12 have dual layer sides extended from the sidewalls 12 and folded twice, and the dual layers are bonded to each other by adhesive placed therebetween.
[30] The cutout holes 13 have a plurality of rows on the rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12, while the cutout holes 13 on the sidewalls 12 are slightly longer than the cutout holes 13 on the rear wall 11.
[31] The partition 20 includes a supporting plate 21 installed at the inside of the main body 10 and receiving things, and inserting portions 22 protruded from the supporting plate 21 and inserted into the cutout holes 13.
[32] As shown in Fig. 5, the partition 20 has dual layers folded at its side and bonded by adhesive between the layers, and the surface thereof is coated. The partition 20 is installed with corrugated cardboard so as to increase its stiffness.
[33] As shown in Fig. 6, the fixing device 30 includes fixing portions 31, which are engaged with protrusions 22a of the inserting portions 22 and tapered inward so as to prevent the partition 20 from being separated, four cutout recesses 32 formed at both sides of the fixing device 30 and allowing easy insertion of the fixing portions 31, penetrating holes 33 formed opposite to the cutout recesses 32 and allowing easy rotation of the fixing portions 31.
[34] The assembly and operation of the foldable paper bookshelf according to the present invention will be described as follows.
[35] As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, when the foldable paper bookshelf is used, the sidewalls 12 extended from the rear wall 11 are folded inward. At that time, the sidewalls 12 are folded at a right angle along the bending lines 11a and the folding lines 1 lb formed between the rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12. [36] Then, the inserting portions 22 of the partitions 20 are inserted into the plural rows of the cutout holes 13 formed on the sidewalls 12. Among the plural rows of cutout holes 13 on the rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12, the cutout holes 13 on the rear wall 11 are slightly smaller than the cutout holes 13 on the sidewalls 12 so that the inserting portions 22 may be easily inserted thereinto.
[37] After that, the inserting portions 22 protruded behind rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12 are inserted into the fixing device 30, so that the partition 20 is fixed.
[38] At that time, as shown in Fig. 6, the fixing portions 31 of the fixing device 30 are engaged with the protrusions 22a of the inserting portions 22 so as to form tapers and to prevent the partition 20 from being separated, a plurality of cutout recesses 32 are formed by cutting both sides of the fixing device 30, and the penetrating holes 33 are formed by punctuating the surfece opposite to the cutout recesses 32 so as to help easy rotation of the fixing portions, so that the partition 20 is installed to the main body 10.
[39] Moreover, the upper and lower ends of the sidewalls 12 are slightly shorter than the rear wall 11 so as to place the reinforcing devices 40 thereon, and four corners of the sidewalls 12 on which the reinforcing devices 40 are placed are formed with cutout portions 12a so as to fix the reinforcing devices 40 close to the sidewalls 12, so that the main body 40 is prevented from being split due to moisture or damaged when transported.
[40] The sidewalls 12 and the partition 20 include respective dual layers formed by folding and bonding their side ends with adhesive so that their stiffness is increased.
[41] As shown in Fig. 5, the partition 20 is installed with a dual layer corrugated cardboard bonded by adhesive so as to increase its stiffness. Moreover, since the partition 20 is separated from the main body 10 according to the size of object to be received in the foldable paper bookshelf of the present invention, the partition 20 is very easily separated, and since surfaces of the partition 20 and the main body 10 are coated with various colors so as to provide an aesthetically pleasing appearing and to increase the stiffness.
[42] Meanwhile, when the foldable paper bookshelf according to the present invention is not in use, in other words, when the foldable paper bookshelf is disassembled and stored, as shown in Fig. 4, the fixing device 30 and the reinforcing devices 40 are separated from the main body 10, and the partition 20 is separated from the rear wall 11 and the sidewalls 12. Next, the sidewalls 12 are folded outward along the bending lines 11a and the folding lines 1 lb, so that the sidewalls 12 are folded to closely contact the rear wall 11. Thus, the foldable paper bookshelf is easily transported and can be stored in small space. [43] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.

Claims
[ 1 ] A foldable paper bookshelf comprising : a main body including a rear wall, a pair of sidewalls folded at both sides of the rear wall, and plural rows of cutout holes formed on the rear wall and the sidewalls; a partition including a supporting plate installed inside the main body and accommodating things, and inserting portions protruded from the supporting plate to be inserted into the cutout holes and formed with protrusions at both sides thereof; a fixing means including an open side for fixing the partition to the outer side of the main body and receiving the inserting portions; and a reinforcing means for reinforcing the main body and having an open side and an open end so that the reinforcing means may be inserted into the upper and lower ends of the sidewalls.
[2] The foldable paper bookshelf as set forth in claim 1, wherein the main body is formed with bending lines and folding lines between the rear wall and the sidewalls and folded inward along the bending lines and the folding lines at a right angle, and the sidewalls are folded outward to closely contact the rear wall.
[3] The foldable paper bookshelf as set forth in claim 1, wherein the sidewalls have upper and lower ends shorter than the rear wall, on which the reinforcing means is placed, and cutout portions formed by cutting four corners thereof.
[4] The foldable paper bookshelf as set forth in any of claim 1 to claim 3, wherein the sidewalls and the partition are folded twice to respectively have dual layers bonded with adhesive.
[5] The foldable paper bookshelf as set forth in claim 1, wherein the fixing means comprises: fixing portions engaged with protrusions of the inserting portions and tapered inward so as to prevent the partition from being separated; cutout recesses formed at both sides of the fixing means and allowing easy insertion of the fixing portions; and penetrating holes formed at opposite to the cutout recesses and allowing easy rotation of the fixing portions.
[6] The foldable paper bookshelf as set forth in claim 1, wherein the partition has coated surfaces and dual layers of corrugated cardboard therein.
