Description

LOTTERY BUSINESS SYSTEM AND THE WORKING METHOD USING THE PERSONAL UNIT ON THE WIRE/WIRELESS NETWORK
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a lottery business system using a personal terminal via a wire/wireless network and a method of operating the same, and more particularly, to a lottery business system using a personal terminal via a wire/wireless network and a method of operating the same, in which a user accesses a lottery management system by using a portable personal terminal or a versatile TV terminal having a, two-way function via a wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network or a broadcasting network to purchase a lottery ticket and check winning of the lottery ticket in a drawing-type or an instant-type, so that it is possible to preoccupy IT technology in lottery business, to secure international and domestic competitiveness, and to improve investment efficiency by using previously constructed infrastructure. In addition, it is possible to prohibit aggravating a speculative spirit, purchasing a lottery ticket by a minor at age of 19 year or less, and selling/purchasing an excessively large amount (more than 100,000 Korean Won) of lottery tickets, so that sound lottery business can be realized.
BACKGROUND ART
As communication network technology has been rapidly developed, the internet technology, mobile phone technology, and the associated content business have been rapidly progressed. Accordingly, various on-line services such as banking, e-commerce, education, character franchising, movies, and games are provided. In particular, on-line lottery business and on-line gift drawing business in cooperation with the e-commerce have been developed in various manners. The on-line lottery business market has reached up to 80% of the lottery business market including a conventional lottery business market. Particularly, the lottery business such as 6/45 LOTTO and Sports TOTO are popular with people dreaming of "a nouveau riche." Since the LOTTO lottery tickets are sold in cash on the off-line, it is argued that there are some problems in LOTTO lottery business. Firstly, it is argued that a fair rule for determining winning lottery numbers is not disclosed in the LOTTO lottery business. Secondly, since the number of purchasers and the amount of money for purchased lottery tickets cannot be checked, it is argued that the competition ratio and winning or gift money are not disclosed in detail, so that the winning money may be unfairly distributed to winners. In particular, in the conventional lottery business, it is difficult to prohibit aggravating a speculative spirit, so that sound lottery business cannot be realized. Although the LOTTO is called an on-line lottery, since the LOTTO lottery tickets are sold at a kiosk and a dedicated cable network and ticket machines are necessary, it has been actually implemented in an off-line manner. In addition, the conventional lottery business cannot be helpful to small income bracket and implement sound lottery culture.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Technical Goal of the Invention In order to solve the aforementioned problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a lottery business system using a personal terminal via a wire/wireless network and a method of operating the same, in which a user accesses a lottery management system by using a portable personal terminal or a versatile TV terminal having a two-way function via a wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network or a broadcasting network to purchase a lottery ticket and check winning of the lottery ticket in a drawing-type or an instant-type. In addition, another object of the present invention is to provide a lottery business system using a personal terminal via a wire/wireless network and a method of operating the same capable of preoccupying IT technology in lottery business, securing international and domestic competitiveness, improving investment efficiency by using previously constructed infrastructure. Still another object of the present invention is to provide a lottery business system using a personal teπninal via a wire/wireless network and a method of operating the same capable of prohibiting aggravating a speculative spirit, purchasing a lottery ticket by a minor, and selling/purchasing an excessively large amount of lottery tickets, so that sound lottery business can be realized. Technical means for Achieving the Goal In order to achieve the aforementioned object, the present invention provides a lottery business system using a personal terminal in a wire/wireless network, a method of operating the lottery business system, and a lottery management server. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a lottery business method comprising: a first step where a user accesses a lottery management server via a wire/wireless network by using a personal wire/wireless terminal; a second step where the lottery management server receives personal authentication information from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the accessing user; a third step of determining whether or not the accessing user has a membership based on the received personal authentication information; a fifth step of receiving from the personal wire/wireless terminal personal identification information of the accessing user to determine whether the accessing user is a major or minor, in a case where the user does not have a membership, and giving a membership to the user after confirming that the user is a major; a sixth step of receiving a lottery-type selection signal from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the membership user and storing the lottery-type selection signal; a seventh step of providing analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past-accumulated statistics to the user and providing lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery number; an eighth step of receiving the selected lottery numbers from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user and storing the selected lottery number; a ninth step of transmitting banking information on the user and an amount of money for the purchased lottery tickets stored in a billing database to a banking server, requesting the banking server to authenticate the billing, and receiving the billing payment authentication for the amount of money for the purchased lottery ticket from the banking server; a tenth step of transmitting to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number; an eleventh step of transmitting to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets, currently- accumulated lottery money, winning probabilities of the lottery numbers, and a distribution of selected lottery numbers; and a twelfth step of, if the lottery is a drawing-type lottery, drawing the winning lottery numbers, comparing the winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers, and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user, and if the lottery is an instant-type lottery, comparing the previously-determined winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. In the aforementioned aspect, the wire/wireless network in the first step may include a public switched telecommunication network and a broadcasting network. In addition, the personal wire/wireless terminal may include a cellular phone, a portable personal terminal such as a PCS phone, a wire phone connected to a wire network, a portable terminal such as a PDA and a notebook connected to a wireless network, or a two-way TV terminal such as a versatile TV terminal, a multimedia TV terminal, and an interactive TV terminal connected to a broadcasting network. In addition, the ninth step may include a step of prohibiting purchasing and selling a lottery ticket if an amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount. In addition, the lottery business method may further comprise a thirteenth step of subtracting a tax from the amount of winning lottery money and automatically depositing the remaining amount of the winning lottery money in a banking or credit card account of a winner. According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a lottery business system comprising: a communication module for communicating with a personal terminal such as a two-wary TV terminal and a wire/wireless terminal via a wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network and a broadcasting network; an authentication module for authenticating a membership of a user intending to purchasing a lottery ticket by using the personal terminal of the user and storing authentication information on the authenticated user to a member management database; a billing module for billing and authenticating an amount of money for a purchased lottery ticket, billing and settling the amount of the money in cooperation with a banking server; a member management database for storing authentication information on the member authenticated by the authentication module; a winning lottery number database for storing a winning lottery number; a billing database for storing the billing information and information on an amount of money for a purchased lottery ticket billed and authenticated by the billing module; and a control section for controlling components of the system, drawing the winning lottery number, providing analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past-accumulated statistics to the user, providing lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery numbers, extracting information on the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets and currently-accumulated lottery money from the billing database and the member management database to transmit the information to the person terminal of the user via the communication module, transmitting to the personal terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number; drawing winning lottery numbers to store the winning lottery numbers in a winning lottery number database, comparing the winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers, and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal terminal of the user. In the aforementioned aspect, the communication module may include a short message service (SMS), a long message service (LMS), or a multimedia message service (MMS) to represent the number of purchased lottery tickets and the corresponding lottery numbers to the user. In addition, the billing module may include a function of prohibiting purchasing lottery tickets if an amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount.
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Now, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, a lottery business system according to the present invention includes a lottery management server 100 and a personal terminal 200 communicating with the lottery management server 100 via a wire/wireless network. The lottery management server 100 stores previously winning lottery numbers in a winning lottery number database 132 for management after recognizing the winning lottery numbers, and authenticates a membership of a user by accessing a WEB server 110 or a WAP server 120 of a central server via the personal terminal 200 to introduce the membership user to participate in a gift drawing service. Information on the membership user participating in the gift drawing service is stored and managed in a membership database 131 of the lottery management server 100, and the membership information can be modified by the lottery management server 100. The membership user can be allowed to be accessed by obtaining authentication of the lottery management server 100. The user can participate in the gift drawing service by using the personal terminal 200 such as a personal computer 220 or a portable personal terminal 210. FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing lottery business among the lottery management server 100, a banking server 90, and the personal wire/wireless terminal including a two-way TV terminal according to the present invention. The user accesses the lottery management server 100 by using the personal wire/wireless terminal via a wire/wireless network. The lottery management server 100 determines whether or not the user has a membership based on personal ID and password received from the personal wire/wireless terminal (I). If the user does not have a membership, the lottery management server 100 determines whether or not the non-membership user is a minor based on personal identification information received from the personal wire/wireless terminal. If the non-membership user is not a minor, the lottery management server 100 gives a chance to the user to have a membership (II). The user having the membership (a membership user) selects lottery numbers by using the personal wire/wireless terminal. In this case, the user may use an automatic number-generation program to select the lottery numbers. The selected lottery numbers are transmitted from the personal wire/wireless terminal to the lottery management server 100. The lottery management server 100 receives and stores the selected lottery numbers (III). The lottery management server 100 transmits banking information on the user and an amount of money for the purchased lottery ticket stored in a billing database to the banking server 90 and requests the banking server to authenticate the billing (IV). The banking server 90 transmits the billing payment authentication for the amount money for the purchased lottery ticket to the lottery management server 100 (V). After the billing payment is completed, the lottery management server 100 transmits to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number, so that the lottery purchasing of the user is completed (VI). If the lottery is a drawing-type lottery, after the winning lottery numbers are drawn, the winning lottery numbers are compared with the selected lottery numbers, whether or not the lottery is won is transmitted to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. If the lottery is an instant-type lottery, the previously-determined winning lottery numbers are compared with the selected lottery numbers and whether or not the lottery is won is transmitted to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user (VII). FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a construction of a lottery management server using a personal terminal in a wire/wireless network according to an embodiment of the present invention. The lottery management server includes a control section 140, a billing module 150, an authentication module 160, a communication module 170, and a database 130. The communication module 170 communicates with the personal terminal such as a two-way TV terminal or wire/wireless terminal via the wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network or a broadcasting network. In addition, the communication module 170 may include a short message service (SMS), a long message service (LMS), and a multimedia message service (MMS) to represent the number of purchased lottery tickets and the corresponding lottery numbers to the user. In addition, the communication module 170 comprises ports and cables for inter-system communication. The communication module 170 serves as a pathway for receiving traffics from external networks and transmitting data from the internal sites to the external networks. The communication module 170 can be implemented with a 155M, 622M, or 2.5G optical transmission system by taking into consideration operation efficiency according to a traffic amount of a matched network. The authentication module 160 authenticates a membership of a user intending to purchase a lottery ticket by using the personal terminal of the user and stores authentication information on the authenticated user to a member management database. In addition, the authentication module 160 prohibits a minor from purchasing the lottery ticket by performing an adult authentication process at the time of a membership subscription. The billing module 150 bills and authenticates an' amount of money for a purchased lottery ticket, billing and settling the amount of the money in cooperation with a banking server, and it stores billing information in a billing database. The billing module 150 prohibits purchasing lottery tickets if an amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount. Therefore, it is possible to identify a speculative purchaser who purchases more than 100,000 Korean Won of lottery tickets in order to suppress a speculative spirit. The database 130 comprises a member management database 131, a winning lottery number database 132, and a billing database 136. The member management database 131 stores information on the members authenticated by the authentication module 160. The information on the member may be received from external networks or directly received from the users (members). The winning lottery number database 132 stores the winning lottery numbers drawn by a control section 140. The billing database 136 stores information on the amount of money for the lottery ticket billed and authenticated by the billing module 150. The information includes information on communication service provider, an access telephone number, an access date, an access time, number of purchased lottery tickets, lottery type, credit card, and banking account. The billing and payment method may use one of a method of adding the price for the lottery ticket to the communication fee or the TV subscription fee, a credit card payment method, and a direct banking-account debit method. The control section 140 controls the components of the system. The control section 140 provides analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past-accumulated statistics to the user, provides lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery numbers, extracts information on the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets and currently- accumulated lottery money from the billing database and member management database to transmit the information to the person terminal of the user via the communication module, and transmits to the personal terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number. The control section 140 draws winning lottery numbers to store the winning lottery numbers in a winning lottery number database, compares the winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers, and transmits whether or not the lottery is won to the personal terminal of the user. Now, a lottery service method according to the present invention will be described. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the lottery service method comprises steps of constructing a lottery drawing system (S10), authenticating a membership (S20), selecting and storing lottery numbers (S30), checking winning lottery numbers (S40), checking winners (S50), and determining gifts and noticing (S60). These steps are described below in detail. In the step (S10) of constructing the lottery drawing system, a lottery management server 100 and a personal terminal 200 communicating with the lottery management server 100 via a wire/wireless network 300 are constructed. The personal terminal 200 may include a portable personal terminal 210 and a personal computer (PC) 220. The lottery management server 100 comprises the WEB server 110, the WAP server 120, and the database 130. In the step (S20) of authenticating a membership, a member accesses the WAP server 120 of the lottery management server 100, which provides the service according to the present invention, by using the portable personal terminal 210 of the member via the previously-constructed base station network. In a case where the gift drawing service is provided by using the portable personal terminal 210, an additional authentication process may not be provided since the portable personal terminal (personal mobile phone) 210 has a unique serial product number and a phone number of the member so that these numbers can be used for the membership identification in the authentication step. However, in the billing and payment process, the payment is authenticated based on the member information, and the member information and the payment authentication information are stored in the member management database 131. In addition, the member may access the WEB server 110 of the lottery management server 100 by using a web site of the PC 220. In this case, the step (S20) of authenticating a membership may further comprise a subscription step and a membership checking step using personal ID and password. In the step (S30) of selecting and storing lottery numbers, the member accesses the gift drawing service system and selects 5 lottery numbers among numbers 1 to 45 by using the WEB site or the WAP site of the personal terminal 200 communicating with the lottery management server 100. The 5 selected lottery numbers are stored in the winning lottery number database 132 of the lottery management server 100. A selection fee, that is, a cost for selecting the lottery numbers, is paid with mileage or bonus money which is provided to the member at the time of purchasing goods. Alternatively, if necessary, the cost for selecting the lottery numbers may be directly paid by the member with the portable personal terminal. In this case, the step (S30) may include a step of noticing the selection-fee. In the step (S40) of checking winning lottery numbers, "6 winning LOTTO numbers" are drawn in an off-line manner at 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm every Saturday and the drawn "6 winning LOTTO numbers" are stored in the winning lottery number database 132. The aforementioned 5 selected lottery numbers and the "6 winning LOTTO numbers" stored in the winning lottery number database 132 are compared with each other to determine the winning lottery numbers. In general, the step of determining the winning lottery numbers may be performed during the time period from the time when the previous "6 winning LOTTO numbers" are announced to the time when the next "6 winning LOTTO numbers" are drawn and announced i.e., 8:00 pm next Saturday. The 5 winning lottery numbers may be determined among the "6 winning LOTTO numbers" in accordance with a previously determined criterion. As an example of the criterion, the 5 winning lottery numbers may be determined by excluding the highest number from the "6 winning LOTTO numbers." As a result, if 5 numbers of the lottery numbers match with the 5 winning lottery numbers, the lottery numbers are determined to be the first winning lottery numbers. If 4 numbers of the lottery numbers match with the 5 winning lottery numbers, the lottery numbers are determined to be the second winning lottery numbers. If 3 numbers of the lottery numbers match with the 5 winning lottery numbers, the lottery numbers are determined to be the third winning lottery numbers. In the step of checking winners (S50), the winners are checked by a winning lottery number control program. The winning lottery number control program is executed in the WEB server 110 or the WAP server 120 of the lottery management server 100. The grades of the winners are determined in accordance with the grades of the winning lottery numbers of the lottery tickets which the winners purchase. The determined grades of the winners are noticed to the winners. In the step (S60) of determining gifts and noticing, the gifts or gift money are determined according to the grades of the winners based on the number of purchasing members, the total amount of payment paid by the purchasing members, and an expense for the lottery business system. The gifts may include cash, a department store gift certificate, and a travel gift certificate. In addition, a gift into which the gift money is converted may be provided. In the step (S60) of determining gifts and noticing, the notice is preferably transmitted by using an e-mail or a web messenger via the Internet or by using a SMS method or an ARS method via a wireless network. In addition, the history of the gift determination, the gifts, the gift money, the gift certificate, the content of the transmitted SMS message, and the like are stored and managed in the gift database 133 of the lottery management server 100. Therefore, the members can check the winning lottery numbers, the winners, the gifts, and gift money in real time by using the member management database 131, the winning lottery number database 132, and the gift database 133. In another embodiment, the details of the lottery drawing service system and method are the same as those of the above embodiment, and 5 winning lottery numbers are preferably determined by excluding the lowest number from the "6 winning LOTTO numbers". In still another embodiment, the details of the lottery drawing service system and method are the same as those of the above embodiment, and 4 winning lottery numbers are preferably determined by excluding the two highest numbers from the "6 winning LOTTO numbers". In further still another embodiment, the details of the lottery drawing service system and method are the same as those of the above embodiment, and 4 winning lottery numbers are preferably determined by excluding the two lowest numbers from the "6 winning LOTTO numbers". In yet further still another embodiment, the details of the lottery drawing service system and method are the same as those of the above embodiment, and 4 winning lottery numbers are preferably determined by excluding the highest and lowest numbers from the "6 winning LOTTO numbers". Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, a procedure performed in a lottery business system using a personal terminal in a wire/wireless network according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described. As shown in FIG. 6, the procedure performed in the lottery business system comprises a lottery system accessing step (SI 02), a membership authentication step (SI 08), a lottery type selecting step (SI 10), a lottery number selecting step (SI 12) a billing authenticating step (SI 14), an authentication notice providing step (SI 16), a winning lottery number checking step (SI 20), a winning information noticing step (SI 24 and SI 26). The steps will be described below in detail. In the lottery system accessing step (SI 02), a user accesses the lottery management server by using a personal wire/wireless terminal of the user via a wire/wireless network. The wire/wireless network includes a public switched communication network or a broadcasting network. The personal wire/wireless terminal includes a cellular phone, a portable personal terminal such as a PCS phone, a wire phone connected to a wire network, a portable terminal such as a PDA or a notebook connected to a wireless network, a two-way TV terminal such as a versatile TV terminal, a multimedia TV terminal, or an interactive TV terminal connected to a broadcasting network. In the membership authentication step (SI 08), the lottery management server receives personal authentication information from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the accessing user. The lottery management server determines whether or not the accessing user has a membership based on the received personal authentication information. If the accessing user has not a membership, the lottery management server receives personal identification information on the non-membership user from the personal wire/wireless terminal thereof to determine whether or not the non-membership user is a minor. If the user is not a minor, the lottery management server gives a membership to the user. Generally, in a case where the user accesses the lottery management server according to the present invention by using the portable personal terminal 210, an additional authentication process may not be provided since the portable personal terminal (personal mobile phone) 210 has a unique serial product number and a phone number of the member so that these numbers can be used for the membership identification in the authentication step. However, in the billing and payment process, the payment is authenticated based on the member information, and the member information and the payment authentication information are stored in the member management database 131. In addition, the member may access the WEB server 110 of the lottery management server 100 by using a web site of the PC 220. In this case, the membership authentication step (SI 08) may further comprise a subscription step and a membership checking step using personal ID and password. In the lottery type selecting step (SI 10), the membership user selects types of lottery tickets and purchases the lottery tickets by using the personal wire/wireless terminal. In general, lottery tickets are classified into a drawing- type lottery ticket and an instant-type lottery ticket. The drawing-type lottery ticket is a lottery ticket of which winning is checked by a drawing process at a predetermined data after the user purchases the lottery tickets and selects the lottery numbers of the lottery tickets by using personal wire/wireless terminal. On the other hand, the instant-type lottery ticket is a lottery ticket of which winning is checked by comparing the lottery numbers of the lottery ticket with previously-drawn winning lottery numbers at the same time that the user purchases the instant-type lottery tickets and selects the lottery numbers of the lottery tickets by using the personal wire/wireless terminal. In the lottery number selecting step (SI 12), after the user purchases the lottery tickets, the user selects the lottery numbers of the lottery tickets and the selected lottery numbers are transmitted to the lottery management server. In this step, the lottery management server provides analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past-accumulated statistics to the user and provides lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery numbers. For example, the user may select 6 lottery numbers in person or with the automatic number- generation program. In addition, the user may perform the lottery number selection process by pushing key bottoms or keyboard of the personal wire/wireless terminal or by using a sound recognition function. In addition, the user can purchase any numbers of lottery tickets. If necessary, the number of purchased lottery tickets may be limited to a predetermined allowable number, for example, five by the lottery management server. Now, lottery selecting methods will be described in more detail. The lottery selecting methods are classified into a drawing-type and an instant-type. The drawing-type lottery selecting method includes a manually selecting type and an automatically selecting type. In the manually selecting type, the user selects a predetermined number, for example, 6 lottery numbers by using the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. In the automatically selecting type, the lottery management server automatically generates the lottery numbers. On the other hand, the instant-type lottery selecting method includes a winning lottery number non-publishing type and a winning lottery number non-publishing type. In the winning lottery number non-publishing type, the user selects a predetermined number, for example, 6 lottery numbers by using the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user, and the selected lottery numbers are instantly compared with previously-drawn winning numbers. In the winning lottery number publishing type, the previously-drawn winning numbers are published to the user in advance, and the lottery management server automatically generates the lottery numbers which are covered with a screen. The user instantly uncovers the screen to compare the lottery numbers with the previously-drawn winning numbers. On the other hand, in the lottery selecting step, the number of the lottery numbers provided by the lottery management server and the numbers of the lottery number selected by the user may be adjusted. For example, the lottery management server may provide 45 numbers of 1 to 45 and the user select 6 numbers among the 45 numbers. Alternatively, the number of the lottery numbers provided by the lottery management server may be adjusted as 42, 30, etc., and the numbers of the lottery numbers selected by the user may be adjusted as 6, 5, etc., by taking into consideration winning probabilities of the lottery numbers. For example, in the drawing-type, the lottery management server may provide 42 numbers and the users select 6 numbers among the 42 numbers. In addition, for example, in the instant-type, the lottery management server may provide 30 numbers and the user selects 6 numbers among the 30 numbers. In the billing authenticating step (SI 14), when the user selects the lottery numbers and requests for purchasing the lottery tickets, banking information on the user and an amount of money for the purchased lottery tickets stored in a billing database are transmitted to a banking server, the banking server is requested to authenticate the billing, and the billing payment authentication for the amount of money for the purchased lottery tickets is received from the banking server. At this time, if the amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount, for example, 100,000 Korean Won, the purchasing and selling of the lottery tickets are prohibited . Therefore, it is possible to identify a speculative purchaser who purchases more than the predetermined allowable amount of lottery tickets in order to suppress a speculative spirit. The banking information includes information on communication service provider, an access telephone number, an access date, an access time, number of purchased lottery tickets, lottery type, credit card, and banking account. The billing and payment method may include one of a method of adding the price for the lottery ticket to the communication fee or the TV subscription fee, a credit card payment method, and a direct banking-account debit method. Next, the settling process is performed together with the communication service provider by comparing billing data with the banking information according to a predetermined schedule. In the authentication notice providing step (SI 16), the lottery management server transmits to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers of the purchased lottery tickets and the authentication number. After the billing process is completed, lottery information generated by the lottery management server is transmitted to the purchaser in a format of the authentication notice including the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number. In addition, the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets, currently- accumulated lottery money, winning probabilities of the lottery numbers, and a distribution of selected lottery numbers are transmitted to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. In the winning lottery number checking step (SI 20) and the winning information noticing step (SI 24 and SI 26), if the lottery is a drawing-type lottery, the winning lottery numbers are determined at a predetermined data, the selected lottery numbers are compared with the winning lottery numbers, and whether or not the lottery is won is transmitted to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. If the lottery is an instant-type lottery, the selected lottery numbers are compared with the previously-determined winning numbers and whether or not the lottery is won is transmitted to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user. One of the winning lottery number determination methods described below may be used. As a first method, previously-drawn "LOTTO numbers" may be used to determine the winning lottery numbers. This method is described above in detail. As a second method, a halogen drawing machine or an automatic number drawing machine may be used to determine the winning lottery numbers. As a third method, the lottery management server may determine the winning lottery numbers by automatically drawing the lottery numbers. In this case, the determined winning numbers are encrypted and stored in the database. In addition, the winning lottery number determination method may be adjusted by taking into consideration winning probabilities of the winning numbers. For example, in a case where the number of the lottery numbers selected by the user is 6, the "6 drawn LOTTO numbers" may be used to determine the 6 winning lottery numbers. In addition, the 5 winning lottery numbers may be determined by excluding the highest or lowest number from the "6 drawn LOTTO numbers." Furthermore, the 4 lottery numbers are determined by excluding the highest or lowest two numbers from the "6 drawn LOTTO numbers." The winning lottery money from which a tax and other charges are subtracted is automatically deposited in a banking or credit card account of the winner. In addition, the winner may designate another person as a beneficiary for the winning lottery money.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY According to the present invention, it is possible to implement online lottery business using IT technology via a previously constructed wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network and a broadcasting network capable of solving problems of increase in costs for constructing physical networks and securing/managing selling networks in the conventional offline lottery business. In addition, it is possible to prohibit aggravating a speculative spirit, purchasing a lottery ticket by a minor at age of 19 year or less, and selling/purchasing an excessively large amount (more than 100,000 Korean Won) of lottery tickets. In addition, it is possible to preoccupy IT technology in lottery business, to secure international and domestic competitiveness, and to improve investment efficiency by using previously constructed infrastructure. In addition, since the lottery business system according to the present invention may be implemented in cooperation with previously constructed offline lottery business infrastructure, it is possible to prevent over-investment, so that the lottery business can be promoted. In addition, since speculative lottery business can be prohibited, it is possible to realize sound lottery business. In addition, since lottery purchasers can be managed as sound clients in commercial transaction, it is possible to legalize the lottery business. In addition, it is possible to provide after-service and before-service in the lottery business firstly in the world. In addition, it is possible to solve the unbalance of lottery business and market.

Claims

1. A lottery business method comprising: a first step where a user accesses a lottery management server via a wire/wireless network by using a personal wire/wireless terminal; a second step where the lottery management server receives personal authentication information from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the accessing user; a third step of determining whether or not the accessing user has a membership based on the received personal authentication information; a fifth step of receiving from the personal wire/wireless terminal personal identification information of the accessing user to determine whether the accessing user is a major or minor, in a case where the user does not have a membership, and giving a membership to the user after confirming that the user is a major; a sixth step of receiving a lottery-type selection signal from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the membership user and storing the lottery-type selection signal; a seventh step of providing analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past- accumulated statistics to the user and providing lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery number; an eighth step of receiving the selected lottery numbers from the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user and storing the selected lottery number; a ninth step of transmitting banking information on the user and an amount of money for the purchased lottery tickets stored in a billing database to a banking server, requesting the banking server to authenticate the billing, and receiving the billing payment authentication for the amount of money for the purchased lottery ticket from the banking server; a tenth step of transmitting to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number; an eleventh step of transmitting to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets, currently-accumulated lottery money, winning probabilities of the lottery numbers, and a distribution of selected lottery numbers; and a twelfth step of, if the lottery is a drawing-type lottery, drawing the winning lottery numbers, comparing the winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers, and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user, and if the lottery is an instant-type lottery, comparing the previously-determined winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal wire/wireless terminal of the user.
2. The lottery business method according to claim 1, wherein the wire/wireless network in the first step includes a public switched telecommunication network and a broadcasting network.
3. The lottery business method according to claim 1, wherein the personal wire/wireless terminal in the first step includes a cellular phone, a portable personal terminal such as a PCS phone, a wire phone connected to a wire network, a portable terminal such as a PDA and a notebook connected to a wireless network, or a two-way TV terminal such as a versatile TV terminal, a multimedia TV terminal, and an interactive TV terminal connected to a broadcasting network.
4. The lottery business method according to claim 1, wherein the ninth step includes a step of prohibiting purchasing and selling a lottery ticket if an amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount.
5. The lottery business method according to claim 1, further comprising a thirteenth step of subtracting a tax from the amount of winning lottery money and automatically depositing the remaining amount of the winning lottery money in a banking or credit card account of a winner.
6. A lottery business system comprising: a communication module for communicating with a personal terminal such as a two-wary TV terminal and a wire/wireless terminal via a wire/wireless network such as a public switched telecommunication network and a broadcasting network; an authentication module for authenticating a membership of a user intending to purchasing a lottery ticket by using the personal terminal of the user and storing authentication information on the authenticated user to a member management database; a billing module for billing and authenticating an amount of money for a purchased lottery ticket, billing and settling the amount of the money in cooperation with a banking server; a member management database for storing authentication information on the member authenticated by the authentication module; a winning lottery number database for storing a winning lottery number; a billing database for storing the billing information and information on an amount of money for a purchased lottery ticket billed and authenticated by the billing module; and the control section for controlling components of the system, drawing the winning lottery numbers and providing analysis information about winning frequencies and distribution of individual lottery numbers analyzed based on the past-accumulated statistics to the user, providing lottery numbers to the user after generating the lottery numbers by using an automatic number-generation program in order for the user to easily select the lottery numbers, extracting information on the number of purchasers currently purchasing the lottery tickets and currently- accumulated lottery money from the billing database and the member management database to transmit the information to the person terminal of the user via the communication module, transmitting to the personal terminal of the user an authentication notice indicating the selected lottery numbers and the authentication number; drawing winning lottery numbers to store the winning lottery numbers in a winning lottery number database, comparing the winning lottery numbers with the selected lottery numbers, and transmitting whether or not the lottery is won to the personal terminal of the user.
7. The lottery business system according to claim 6, wherein the communication module includes, a short message service (SMS), an long message service (LMS), or an multimedia message service (MMS) to represent the number of purchased lottery tickets and the corresponding lottery numbers to the user.
8. The lottery business system according to claim 6, wherein the billing module includes a function of prohibiting purchasing lottery tickets if an amount of money for purchasing the lottery ticket is more than a predetermined allowable amount.
