Abstract

The throwaway chopping board is a production, which concerns the use of fat- and water-repellent paper/cardboard or other suitable material for the use as chopping board in the household. The paper/cardboard/plastic is coated with a hygienic and fat/water-repellent surface. Through disposal of the throwaway pad you make sure that no bacteria and/or contagious and harmful blanks will spread from one foodstuff to others through a difficultly cleansable chopping board.

Description

DESCRIPTION
TITLE
Throwaway-carving board/Throwaway-carving pad
SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF THE PRODUCTION
The throwaway-carving board is mainly to be used in connection with handling af foodstuffs-
KNOWN METHOD
Today meat, vegetables, bread and other foodstuffs are often being parted and processed on a chopping board, which typically consists of wood or plastic. These chopping boards therefore consist of materials which can either soak up fluid, or its surface will over time be damaged/ frayed, and thereby fluids and remainders from the processed foodstuffs may be soaked up and/or be kept in the board.
THE PROBLEM WHICH IS SOLVED
After the processing of foodstuffs there will therefore still be remainders left in the chopping board. Depending on the type of foodstuffs -remainders the removal of those will either demand a wiping off or, by more adherring or risky materials, a real washing. Particularly by meat juice a thorough wiping off will be necessary, but also in general, in order to avoid mixing soil products and meat products, washing is necessary-
THE NENy METHOD
A piece of paper, cardboard, or other suitable material, coated with for instance wax or other suitable surface coating, as it is known from for instance milk cartons, is used as a top on the existing choppingboard, or as an independent "chopping board" pad-
The new "throwaway-chopping pad" is coated with a film of for instance wax or other suitable surface treatment, so that it is fat- and water-repellent.
With the throwaway-choppingpaper you can now avoid washing og changing between more chopping boards, you simply replace the paper. The new method is very hygienic, as "poluted" meat juice and stoff like that will always be thrown away, and it saves costs for cleaning, and in situations, where you would otherwise use more chopping boards you now save both the investment in those and space in the kitchen cupboards.
TECHNICAL EFFECT
The throwaway chopping board is a plate consisting of paper, cardboard, plastic or similar, coated with wax, which is chemically completely inactive, and which can thereby not change, rot, og constitute a health risk.
By cutting on the throwaway pad you avoid that fluids from foodstuffs get in contact with other things in the kitchen than the knife, and thereby you can avoid spreading of salmonella and the like.
Disposal of the throwaway-chopping board is in line with milk cartons, it can be burned without specific environmental considerations-
