Abstract

A flexible, low cost electronic display system (100) comprises a flexible carrier material (110) and an electronic display device (130) associated With the flexible carrier material, the display being electrically coupled to A controller (220) and to a memory (240) for programming and storing arbitrary display content and may be further coupled via communication Port (250,260) to a network such as the Internet. The electronic display system is may be incorporated with various flexible objects, including a place mat (700); a publication cover (800); a poster (1000); and a foldable Or rollable map (1200).
