Abstract

This makes it difficult to integrate new or modified system components into existing vehicle or unit electronics.

Claims

 1. Control device (1) for operating an emergency vehicle (2), in particular fire engine, or of additional units (3) integrated or externally operable in the emergency vehicle (2), such as pumps, compressors, hydraulics, generators, etc., comprising at least a configuration unit (12), at least one electronic module (5) with a computing device (9), comprising a microcontroller (11) and a storage device (10), analog and / or digital input / output interfaces (7) with one or more connection contacts, and a bus system (6), characterized in that the configuration unit (12) is communication-connected to the computing device (9) arranged in the electronic module (5) and in the storage device (10)
   Software functions are stored which can be assigned to the connection contacts of the input / output interfaces (7) of the electronic module (5) and which is assigned to the configuration unit (12) at least one input unit (13) and one display unit (14).
2. Control device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the configuration unit (12) is integrated in the electronics module (5).
3. Control device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the electronic module (5) is designed with at least one interface (8) for local or remote transmission of signals or data via a local or global network.
4. Control device (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that the configuration unit (12) is designed with at least one interface (8) for local or remote transmission of signals or data via a local or global network.
5. Control device (1) according to claim 4, characterized in that the configuration unit (12) is arranged externally from the electronic module (5) and is in line-connected or wireless communication with the electronic module (5).

7. Control device (1) according to claim 6, characterized in that the configuration unit (12) is formed by a mobile electronic computing unit, for example a palm top, handheld computer or a PC.
8. Control device (1) according to claim 7, characterized in that elements of the input unit (13) from mechanical switches, in particular from DIP switches, are formed.
9. Control device (1) according to claim 8, characterized in that the configuration unit (12) allows the setting of parameters of the electronic modules (5).
10. Control device (1) according to claim 9, characterized in that in the storage device (10) of the electronic module (5) the parameters are stored in a non-volatile manner, in particular in an EEPROM or FLASH memory.
11. Control device (1) according to claim 10, characterized in that the software functions are transmitted via the existing bus system (6) into the memory device (10) of the electronic module (5) or read from there and can be stored in a non-volatile manner.
12. Control device (1) according to claim 11, characterized in that in the storage device (10) parameters for an emergency program are stored in the event of defective bus connections.
13. Control device (1) according to claim 12, characterized in that means for restoring a delivery configuration are present in the electronic modules (5).
14. Control device (1) according to claim 13, characterized in that the bus system (6) is formed by a field bus system, in particular a CAN bus.
