Abstract

Une architecture répartie permet de découpler l'acquisition et la visualisation d'images mammographiques, ce qui permet une utilisation plus efficace des ressources et un traitement amélioré. Dans un mode de réalisation, le système (100) comprend un certain nombre de postes d'acquisition d'images (102) et un certain nombre de postes de visualisation d'images (110) dont tous sont associés à un serveur central (104). Le serveur (104) fonctionne de manière à accéder à un service d'archives d'images (106), à une base de données d'informations sur le patient (108) et à un certain nombre d'outils DICOM (112). L'invention permet une utilisation plus efficace et/ou commode de l'équipement d'acquisition d'images et des postes de traitement d'images. L'invention fournit aussi un certain nombre d'améliorations en termes de traitement et de flux de processus qui permettent une réalisation plus pleine des avantages potentiels de la mammographie numérique.
