Abstract

L’invention a pour objet un procédé de revêtement en continu d’au moins un substrat B par un film d’une formulation organique ou minérale à l’état de solution ou de dispersion, la viscosité de ladite formulation étant comprise entre 0,001 et 100 Pa.s. à température ambiante, procédé qui comprend les étapes suivantes : -on fait défiler en continu le substrat B, -on entraîne en rotation un cylindre preneur à surface déformable, -on forme une nappe primaire uniforme de largeur et d’épaisseur contrôlée de ladite formulation sur le cylindre preneur, -on effectue le transfert de la totalité ou d’une partie de ladite nappe primaire sur un cylindre applicateur à surface indéformable pour former une nappe intermédiaire, ledit cylindre applicateur étant situé entre le cylindre preneur et le substrat B et entraîné en rotation dans le sens inverse au sens de défilement du substrat B, et - on effectue le transfert de la totalité de l’épaisseur de la nappe intermédiaire, du cylindre applicateur sur le substrat B en comprimant le cylindre applicateur contre le substrat B pour obtenir un film de revêtement d’épaisseur homogène. L’invention a également pour objet le dispositif permettant la mise en œuvre de ce procédé.
