Definitions
- the present invention relates to a submersible motor pump with a housing, with a suction nozzle attached to the housing, with an impeller arranged in the suction nozzle for generating a suction flow and for transporting a fluid to an output connection, the impeller being mounted on a shaft which is connected to is connected to a motor, and with a can into which the shaft extends.
- Ceramic waves are known to be sensitive to pressure acting on them and to be easily broken. Nevertheless, ceramic shafts are preferred in known submersible pumps because of numerous other beneficial properties.
- the non-frost-proof liquid medium freezes down from one surface.
- a submersible pump hibernates in a garden pond can freeze it in a frost period.
- pond water which has remained in the housing after the last pumping operation or has subsequently penetrated into the housing spaces. This water runs slowly from top to bottom and exerts pressure on the wave, which is generally horizontal. If the ice formation in the housing continues downwards and the water extends below the suction port arranged laterally and concentrically to the shaft, the actual risk of frost breakage begins for the shaft and in particular for the ceramic shaft.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a submersible motor pump which can remain in a liquid and freezing medium even in frosty times without being damaged.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that a frost protection device for the shaft is arranged in the housing.
- the frost protection device protects the shaft as much as possible against frost damage and especially against frost-related breakage.
- frost protection device is mounted in an elastic bushing when it enters the can. As a result, prints can be caught across a shaft axis X.
- the frost protection device comprises a water displacement body, which is arranged concentrically to the shaft or shaft axis X in free spaces.
- a water displacement body which is arranged concentrically to the shaft or shaft axis X in free spaces.
- the water displacement body occupies a space in which the liquid medium and in particular the freezable pond water would otherwise accumulate and exert pressure on the shaft. The water displacement body therefore keeps the water away from the wave.
- impeller is elastically attached to the shaft. Such an elastic attachment takes place e.g. with an elastomer.
- Yet another advantage is that the deepest point of a water-absorbing area, usually a closed drain opening below the impeller, is closed with an elastic membrane that can expand in frost to remove ice pressure from the shaft.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic view in longitudinal section through a submersible motor pump with an anti-freeze device according to a first embodiment of the present invention
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic detailed view from FIG. 1, which shows an elastic membrane in the expanded state in the right half and in the non-expanded state in the left half;
- FIG. 3 shows a schematic detailed view from FIG. 1, which shows an elastic impeller fastening
- FIG. 4 shows a schematic view in longitudinal section through a further submersible motor pump with an anti-freeze device according to a second embodiment of the present invention
- FIG. 5 shows a schematic view in longitudinal section through a further submersible motor pump with an anti-freeze device according to a third embodiment of the present invention
- a submersible motor pump 1 is shown schematically in longitudinal section in a working or operating position.
- a housing 3 is connected on one end face (left side in FIG. 1) to a suction nozzle 5.
- the suction nozzle 5 is part of a suction housing 7, on which a pump nozzle 9 and an outlet nozzle 11 are also formed.
- an impeller 13 is arranged in operative connection with the suction nozzle 5 and the pump nozzle 9, which is fixed on a shaft and in particular on a ceramic shaft 15.
- the ceramic shaft 15 has a shaft axis X which, in the illustrated working position, extends in a substantially horizontal direction into a can 17 which is arranged in the housing 3.
- the ceramic shaft 15 is supported at the junction between the suction housing 7 and the can 17 in a ceramic bearing 19, which in turn is supported in an elastic bushing 20.
- a water displacement body 23 is formed concentrically on the ceramic shaft 15 and fills a constructive free space.
- the water displacement body 23 has the same radial extension from the shaft axis X as does the rotor 21, so that an approximately uniform air gap 25 is formed between an inner wall of the can 17 and the rotor 21 or the water displacement body 23, which for example has a width of Can have 0.2 mm.
- the outlet connection 11 is located at the deepest point of the water or another liquid-absorbing area of the submersible pump 1 and is separated in the vertical direction with an elastic membrane 25 with respect to this area.
- FIG. 2 it is shown how the elastic membrane 25 is not deformed under normal pressure conditions of the water or other liquid medium.
- the right half shows how the elastic membrane 25 is deformed under ice pressure during frost.
- the impeller 13 is also elastically attached to the ceramic shaft 15.
- an elastic impeller attachment 27 is shown, which holds the impeller on the ceramic shaft 15.
- the elastic impeller fastening 27 is an elastomer, which is formed between an accommodating sleeve 29 of the impeller 13 and the ceramic shaft 15 as an inner sleeve 31 and extends over a distance of the ceramic shaft 15 in the direction of the shaft axis X.
- Each of the frost-protecting features of elastic bushing 19, water displacement body 23, elastic membrane 25 and elastic impeller attachment 27 improves the frost protection for a submersible pump 1.
- the frost protection is further optimized by combining the aforementioned individual features. In other embodiments, therefore, only some of the aforementioned features protecting against frost or any combination thereof can be used in a submersible pump 1.
- FIG. 4 schematically shows a submersible motor pump 10 according to a second embodiment in longitudinal section in a working or operating position.
- a housing 30 is connected at one end (left side in FIG. 4) to a suction nozzle 50.
- the suction nozzle 50 is part of a suction housing 70, on which a pump nozzle 90 is also formed.
- An impeller 130 which is fastened on a shaft and in particular on an oxide ceramic shaft 150, is arranged in the suction housing 70 in operative connection with the suction nozzle 50 and the pump nozzle 90.
- the oxide ceramic shaft 150 has a shaft axis X which, in the illustrated working position, extends in a substantially horizontal direction into a can 170 which is arranged in the housing 30.
- the impeller 130 can also be fastened to the oxide ceramic shaft 150, as is shown in FIG. 3 for the first embodiment.
- the suction housing 70 is preceded by an annular space 190 in the direction of the suction nozzle 150.
- the suction nozzle 150 is screwed onto the suction housing 70 with the annular space 190.
- a water displacement body 210 is arranged in the annular space 190, the z. B. is a closed cell foam or similar material known in the art. Z is conceivable. B. also an air-filled membrane, similar to an expansion vessel in heating.
- the annular space 190 is connected to the interior of the suction housing 70 by channels or slots 230. These slots 230 are distributed on the inside adjacent to the circumference of the suction housing 70. A water pressure can escape through the slots 230 into the annular space 190.
- the submersible pump 10 can freeze in various spatial positions without being damaged by the water ice pressure.
- the frost protection device also includes an annular space 1900. However, this is arranged between the suction housing 70 and the can 170. In the annulus 1900 is the water displacement body 210, which can be of the same design as in the second embodiment.
- the annular space 1900 is connected via channels or slots 2300 on the one hand to the internal neren of the can 170 and on the other hand connected to the inside of the suction housing 70.
- the slots 2300 are also arranged on the inside adjacent to the circumference of the suction housing 70 or of the can 170. In this way, the water / ice pressure can escape both from the can 170 and from the suction housing and the submersible pump can freeze in different spatial positions without suffering frost damage.
- the third embodiment is suitable for so-called wet rotor motors in which the can 170 is filled with water.
