Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for controlling a reformer (1) comprising a reaction chamber (4) and provided for fuel cells, particularly for use in a vehicle. According to the invention, the mass flow of oxidation gas is controlled according to a sensor signal, which represents a measured value, of an oxidation gas mass flow sensor (14) located inside an oxidation gas channel (13). In order to achieve a simple and reliable control, the invention provides that a control of the oxidation gas mass flow ensues when a respective measured value of the oxidation gas mass flow sensor (14) is greater than an upper limit value or is less than a lower limit value of the oxidation gas mass flow.
