Abstract
The coin holder of this invention is a coin holder of two parts : the base and the sheet metal. a) the base where the coins are stacked. b) the metal sheet whose function is that of a pren fit as well on of securing the coins. It can take any shape and bears as many slots as we wish.
Description
COIN HOLDER
This invention relates to a coin holder consisting of a flat base element and a metal sheet both of which bear as many slots as the desired number of coins to be stacked The base also bears incorporated springs which push the stacked coins towards the open end.
Although coin holders of this sort have long been known they did not have a pres fit to hold the coins securely in the device even if not stacked at the base
The attributes of such a coin holder invention are:the device can take any desirable shape , it is easy to use and it can hold the coins securely.
The coin holder of this particular invention can be built as follows: On a flat surface we cut as many slots as in the number of coins we are to insert. The shape of the upper part of the slots is the intersection of two circles, the diameter of each being equal to the diameter of the coin we wish to insert.
On the other part, which is a metal sheet soldered or fastened with screws on the base we also cut as many slots as those on the base. The difference is that the shape of the slots this time is the intersection of two circles.the diameter of one of them is equal to the diameter of the coin to be inserted while the diameter of the other circle is that of a smaller circle.
The we stick or screw the metal sheet on the base. Thus we have assembled a coin holder which can stack coins in the base slots which comprise coil springs to push the coins to the aperture while the metal sheet can securely prevent any coin movement.
Drawing 1 depicts the coin holder with three coins ( 5 is the diameter of the aperture ) as where drawing 2 shows the slot aperture of the metal sheet.
In the same drawing (2) the coil springs of the base slots can be seen.
In drawings 3,4,5 we can also see the intersection of the coin holder for one coin while in drawings 6,7,8 is the long sectional view with any number of coins.
Claims
Coin holder comprising of a base and a metal sheet and is different from others in it the width of the base is the intersection of two circles both of a diameter equal the diameter of the coin to be inserted while the width of the sheet metal is the i eter of the coin to be inserted and the other is of a smaller diameter.
.The coin holder as defined in claim 1 is characterised by the fact that the slots of the se comprise coil springs which push the stacked coins upwards.
.The coin holder according to claim 1 is characterised by the fact that both the shape of
; base and the metal sheet can be modified so that it can be also used as holder or ntainer for other items.
