Abstract

The inventive microchip can be used for medicine, molecular biology and biotechnology, for example in order to determine the antibacterial activity of antibiotics in experimental pharmacology, for environmental researches etc. The inventive method for producing said microchip is also disclosed and consists in immobilising prokaryotic and eukariotic cells by polymerising a gel-forming solution which contains said immobilised cells. The gel-forming solutions in the form of microdrops are applied to a substrate prior to the polymerisation thereof.
