Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système utilisant un lecteur de code ou crayon-lecteur numérique pour commander des articles dans un catalogue utilisant des indices d'identification d'articles qui sont de préférence des indices d'indication de position. Le catalogue comprend des articles fournis par plusieurs fournisseurs. Une commande unique peut être émise et envoyée à plusieurs fournisseurs en accédant à des informations de fournisseurs dans une base de données. Le catalogue peut être distribué avec le lecteur de code pour faciliter la première utilisation de ce lecteur et faciliter, par conséquent, l'établissement d'une infrastructure technologique par l'utilisation immédiate du lecteur. Le catalogue peut également inclure des services supplémentaires pour encourager son utilisation et augmenter ainsi les commandes. Le service du catalogue peut être financé en taxant les fournisseurs par commande ou renseignement ou taxe périodique en fonction des commandes passées.
