Abstract

The invention relates to the area of presentation units and display devices which are adapted in such a way that they can be fixed to a vertical support or placed on a horizontal surface, enabling a plurality of documents of objects to be supported and displayed and which can be orientated in a plurality of manners. The invention more specifically relates to a presentation unit and a display device such as a wall partition, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of substantially flat, detachable modules (12a), each module being provided with fixing means on one of the surfaces thereof for retaining an object (10), said modules being integral with each other by connecting means (14) which are disposed on the reverse side, towards the edges of the modules.

Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to the field of displays and display devices which are adapted to be attached to any vertical support or placed on a horizontal plane and in particular to a device for both storing and display characters to objects informative or artistic in a multitude of configuration.

The importance of the graphic presentation of printed advertising, business letters and other graphic presentations materializes and to an increasing extent as to become widespread in all sectors. The same brand trend of modern art that is becoming increasingly graphic and where widespread sensitivity to the variety of abstract geometric shapes instead of the scene as a work of art unique and finite. Thus, the top and bottom, left and right parts of the works became more abstract with such consequences, they can be displayed in a variety of orientation in order to vary their appearances. However, there is not a suitable means for suspending each work of art in a multitude of orientation.

Another trend and marked by the work of presentation formed by the combination of several independent works but interrelated forming a single work or image. It sets or works individually framed, are suspended so as to form continuous arrangements to obtain continuity between the works. However, there is not a way to align the works for it to form a complementary set.

Furthermore, the system developed in the present invention has at present in the facilities of the interior spaces and especially in connection with the arrangement of office space and retail space, a great interest both functionally that aesthetically.

In view of the above, there is a need to create a display and display system that is suitable for showing suitably a number of works of art or graphic materials forming a single unit by aligning separate rooms, but associated fixable both against a wall or vertical support or placed on a horizontal support.

In addition, there is also a need to provide a display and display system that can present a number of works in a variety of orientation, so as to offer various configurations.

In the context of audio media, the same observations can be made about compact discs meantime become the preferred medium for recording and reproduction. The housings of compact discs pose the same problem. Usually stored on edge or loose around the place of use, this storage mode does not highlight the front cover, which makes their identification more difficult. State of the art

There are already many displays and type of display device and varied forms that provide in most cases a single function or possible application. Furthermore, the shape or the device determines a possible use, so very compatible to other use. In part against the device used in the present invention allows the user to quickly access a variety of objects and documents and to choose one with little effort. Thus using the advantages of the present invention, it is easily the most effective and most appropriate alternative presentation of objects or documents in relation to a traditional presentation side by side or stacked on top of each other.

The most relevant examples and assimilate the most to the present invention are described in the patents, US Pat Balnis. No. 5,603,415 issued Feb. 18, 1997 and US Pat De Matteo. No. 6,054,968 issued April 25, 2000.

The first document also provides a modular similar device. Consisting of a basic module with the notches on the sides in the form of mortise, they can be interconnected by the tenons provided for this purpose. The compact disc of the casing and housed inside of the sides by a moving up and down and held by protruding mortises on the lower and upper part. This device has similarities with the present invention, but this aesthetic point of view, the disadvantage of not putting enough compact disk case evidence and not to leave enough space between the casing. On the other hand technically, it leaves visible the mortise on the sides to the peripheral modules of the composition. In the second document, the same observations can be made at the technical level which constantly leaves visible the principle of connection between modules arranged on the sides of the bin.

The entire device of the present invention can have variable dimensions according to requirements and the use that is sought, but are identical in principle of assembly by means of the connecting pieces. The aim is to offer the greatest versatility configuration between modules unrestricted size and quantity so as to form a regular lattice set, permanent and rigid which may take the form of a mesh on a vertical plane such as a wall, is organized so as to form a screen or arranged about an axis in the image of a turnstile. The goal is to provide the greatest flexibility of use to the user through a minimum of different parts. The "mesh" thus formed can be supplemented or reduced at any time as required or context without requiring the use of a particular tool.

Objectives and Benefits

Accordingly, the objectives and advantages of the present invention relates to a display and display device that solves all the problems of the prior art to date, and creates a link between what was the object opposite and differentiated patents and may be similar as a digest of a number of patents that are related to the device used in the present invention.

Another objective of the present invention, and offer high functionality and adapted to all types of documents or documents of presentations to enable scalable and customizable assemblies at any time, either for aesthetic reasons or organization.

Another objective of the present invention is to use context-and that is easy to install, remove and use.

Another objective of the present invention is to present a neutral appearance, controlled and well-matched to the frame of the parts where they are installed.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a storage and reporting mechanism that is rational and inexpensive to manufacture.

Another object of the present invention is to provide, according to a very simple device, an assembly arranged in the same vertical plane whose dimensions, composition and functionality may change in height or length depending on the evolution of needs or the number of documents required for its user to have the discretion to, as desired.

Another objective of the present invention is to also allow use as a framework for painting as unique to the presentation of a reproduction or any important paper document, which gives it that way, high stability.

Another objective of the present invention is to make information panels ordered tailored for each document that can be enlarged with the addition of new parts so as to obtain a homogeneous presentation mode in a mode achieving stable, solid and suitable for all situations.

The other objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the specifications that follow and in light of the drawings in the attached figures.

Summary of the Invention

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the modular display system and the display device is comprised of a plurality of dimensions of modules, of different shapes and uses. It comprises initially a base module 12a or 12b which are closely associated with other modules that each perform a specific function within the system, the central pivot and the base module. Thus there is a connecting piece 14 that connects and maintain basic modules together on a vertical plane, an eccentric hook 16 for securing the module (s) (s) based on the vertical support, and a series of removable modules 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, which have the function to offer a wide range of possibilities of presentation document.

Description according to a preferred embodiment

In order to appreciate the advantages of the present invention, examples of the works and a more detailed description of the invention are given by way of example and not limiting. They represent a preferred embodiment of the invention and will be easily understood. particular embodiments of the present invention are represented by Fig. Ϋ 1 as well as Figs. 21-22 and particularly relates to a storage device and exposing a manufactured housing containing a recording medium. The invention is particularly applicable in the storage and display of compact discs.

The following examples, illustrated by Fig. 12 to 20 relate to a multicomponent display device and relate in particular the advertising apparatus or other document to be exposed in a vertical plane. The same generic principles of the present invention are applicable to both group of figures. And as we will see in the following descriptions, Figs. 12-20 are a possible variation of FIG. 1 H and vice versa.

A particular embodiment of the present invention and shown in Fig. 1. As shown, the examples include a plurality of core modules 12a with packages 10 contained therein and disposed in two different configurations. Fig. 2 provides another possible configuration of the base 12a modules, but shown without the housings 10. This representation partially shows the connection principle of 12a modules together with the connecting part 14 that can be seen between two modules 12a. This connection device at the rear of module 12a allows the connecting piece 14 to make it as unobtrusive as possible on the visible side. Moreover, the eccentric hook 16 also shown in three points inside the modules 12a allows to understand the fastening principle of the network thus formed on a vertical wall which holds the hook 16 simply by gravity of self weight of the device.

The particular binding principle of the present invention between core modules 12a through the connecting part 14 will now be described with reference to Fig. 3 to 8. Thus, to achieve a free configuration of the present invention that its user can define as a myriad of possibilities, we defer to Fig. 8 which gives a close-up perspective view of the rear faces 12a and 14. It is readily seen that the connecting piece 14 with the two ends 60 identical equally usable in any position, is accommodated and sit inside two pairs of lugs with studs on the inside face 48, disposed on the rear face 42 of module 12a. This connection device between the core modules 12a and the connecting pieces 14, is feasible only if the two pairs of lugs 48 of each module 12a or placed one opposite the other at a certain remote modules 12a therebetween. The assembly of two modules 12a with the workpiece 14, cleaning in any case a void and a constant distance between the modules 12a in such a way to give to each module 12a, its own autonomy in the composition and which allows also showcase its content. According to a particular embodiment, shown in Fig. 10 and 11, a base module 12a may be adapted to turn into bin 18 and used to store the same housings 10 parallel to each other and thus allow to combine lockers 18 and 12a module according to the same binding principles developed previously also configurable as a myriad of possibilities.

A particular embodiment of the present invention represented by Fig. 12-17, also relate to a display device or any other element intended to be exposed on a vertical plane. And as shown, the examples include a plurality of modules coupled to another module different dimensions and shape arranged in several configuration that respond to different uses depending on the use that the user gives them. Of course, for this particular embodiment is feasible, some changes from what has been described above, are necessary, but it remains the same regarding the principle of connection with the connecting part 14 as well as the principle of coupling with the eccentric hook 16 as well as all the connecting pieces 30, 32, 34 and 36 which are similar in principle to the connecting piece 14.

Therefore, according to Fig. 18 to 20, 12b module is adapted to receive removable modules 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 and in particular the guides 50b and side reinforcements as well as the slots 46b.

Thus, the guides and lateral reinforcements 50b arranged on each side, each receive the ends, a tenon on the inside so as to allow, once 12b modules assembled removable modules 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 retain , like a vice, by simple pressure, the holding guides with mortises 72 of corresponding shape, also arranged on four faces of the removable modules 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28. 1. Display and display device for vertical support wall such as a wall, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of removable modules substantially planar, each module being provided, on one of its faces, means fixing for retaining an object, the modules being made integral to each other via connecting means on the other side, towards the edges of the modules.
2. Display and display device according to claim 1, characterized in that towards its periphery, each module can comprise either overcome lateral guides on two opposite sides, resilient lugs for the introduction or exit of a housing or tenons of different length with lateral guides for receiving removable modules.
3. Display and display device according to claim 1, characterized in that towards its periphery and on the rear face, each module comprises a plurality of formant housing of pairs of pins and that each connecting means comprises at least two sections , each of them being adapted to fit into one of said housing.

Display and display device according to claim 1, characterized in, that the center of each module including a vacuum adapted to receive a hook and each hook comprises a surface provided with handle, a hole for the passage a screw and a face adapted to bear on a portion of the edges of the inner blank of the basic module.

Display and display device according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in, that the device may be coupled on one side thereof, a plurality of removable modules, adapted to respond to different forms of presentation objects or documents on a vertical plane, which comprises on each side a corresponding recess adapted to be fitted partly on the base module.
6. Device according to claims 1, making storage bin office, characterized in, that the peripheral edges of the device are adapted to enable a side by side storage housings and that said storage compartment can be associated to the modules and include several lockers.
7. Device according to Claims 1 to 5, serving as a display unit for videos, characterized in that the connecting means is adapted to constitute a support for horizontal plane.
8. Device according to claims 1 to 5, serving as a display unit to the horizontal plane such as a counter, characterized in that the connecting piece comprises a plate arranged perpendicularly, instead of a section in order to ask the device on a horizontal surface.
9. Device according to claims 1 to 5, serving as a display for turnstile, characterized in that the connecting piece comprises a plurality of half sections of the connecting piece disposed around a cylinder hollow in its center, in order to to arrange the modules to create a tourniquet.
