Abstract

The invention concerns a medium object for writing non-volatile data (AA), CD-ROM, DVD, CDR or the like (01), used in an electronic unit of the micro-computer type. Said object is characterised by two wings (02) located on either side of a centre containing a mini-CD-ROM with a diameter less than eighty millimetres, said wings (02) acting on the levitation of the object during its rotation. Wing means any bearing surface having a diameter less that the diameter of the CD-ROM acting on the levitation of the object. The invention is characterised in that said objects enables playing the CD-ROM and its centring in the CD-ROM player slide-in units while stabilising the levitation of the object during its rotation. The invention also concerns a flat rectangular case (BB) for transporting said medium object (AA), in which is provided a housing (13) wherein the removable wing (AA) is urged to be fixed in several points (15). The invention further concerns a device whereby a master and slave protocol is established for communicating through the interface of an optical beam between two physical media, in particular by automatic control of the optical reader, integrating in the rotating object (AA) an electronic micromodule and by making the transport case (BB) interactive.
