THE ELECTRONIC BUSINESS SYSTEM BASED ON A BANK NETWORK AND THE OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the electronic commercial transaction system and the operating method thereof, and more particularly to the electronic commercial transaction system connecting on-line and off-line based on a bank network and the operating method thereof.
BACKGROUND ART
The case of an existing electronic commercial transaction system, credit cards are commonly used. However, it is difficult to promote credit cards due to many problems such as security problem when paying by a credit card, reliability, anxiety about cancellation caused by distance between countries, and purchaser authentication of a provider.
And a lot of customers are complaining about too many questions when filling out the form on the Internet.
In addition, in an existing electronic commercial transaction system, a customer has to fill out another address for receiving an ordered product on the Internet. Then, a distributor delivered the product to the customer via a multi-step delivery system by receiving a delivery signal. However, this system causes many
problems such as delivery cost, inefficiency when the customer is not at home, and customer's anxiety about delivering a high-priced product.
Besides, in an existing electronic commercial transaction system, reservation and ticket purchase are not common owing to troublesome formalities such as member registration, payment, visit to a reception desk to obtain a receipt number, obtaining the original ticket, etc.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an electronic commercial transaction system based on a bank network and the operating method thereof, in order to solve problems of the prior art.
To achieve the above object according to the present invention, in the electronic commercial transaction system connecting on-line and off-line by an agency intermediating between a customer demanding a product and a provider providing the product based on a bank network, the electronic commercial transaction system comprises a client for building a Web browser therein to make the customer get on the Internet to use Web data; a provider server for supporting a Web site giving information on the product according to an information request signal of the client and for providing a sales service of the product; an agency server for confirming transaction according to predetermined procedures by receiving information on transaction details from the provider server and for transmitting a delivery request signal about the product to the provider server; and a server of an associated bank that agreed on sending money with the
agency by deducting a predetermined commission according to the delivery request signal of the agency server.
In the Web site of the provider server, an agency icon is installed to generate an order number that the customer clicks on after completing an order through the client.
The agency server comprises an agency main office server having a database for storing information on transaction details transmitted by the provider server; and an agency branch server installed in each branch of the associated bank and having individual ID and password.
The above and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the description that follows, with reference to the accompanying drawings.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
FIG. 1 is an overall diagram of a first embodiment in accordance with the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, in an overall diagram of the first embodiment in accordance with the present invention, wherein a client (100) builds a Web browser therein to provide Web data as having each ID address, computer networks (20) include the Internet on which the client can get, a provider server (200) connected with the client through the computer networks installs provider icons, agency servers (300, 400) connected to the provider server and the client through the computer networks operate Web sites having icons of each provider, and an associated bank server (500) connected to the agency servers through the computer networks processes pay data.
The agency servers (300, 400) in accordance with the present invention consist of a main office server (300) connected to the associated bank server through the computer networks to process transaction data and a branch server (400) connected to the main office server (300) through the computer networks by being installed in each branch of an associated bank and processing transaction data.
The client (100) can transmit an access request signal to the provider server
(200) through the networks (20) such as private Internet lines. When having access to the provider server (200), the client (100) displays a provider Web page with provider icons in accordance with the present invention. Then, a customer selects a product or service according to information provided from a provider Web site
through the client (100) to complete an order, and finally clicks an agency icon to download a transaction number from the provider server (200).
The computer networks (20) include PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network), ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) or private cables. And it is possible to get on the Internet.
The provider server (200) is installed in electronic commercial transaction providers associated with agencies, distributors, product providers, service providers, public institutions, etc. The provider server (200) displays a Web page for providing product transaction information such as a product or service of a corresponding provider, ordering method, paying method, delivery method, etc. in an output unit of the client (100) according to an information request signal. In addition, an agency icon in accordance with the present invention is installed in the Web site of the provider. When the client (100) clicks an icon, the provider server (200) transmits transaction data of the customer to the main office server (300). On the other hand, if the customer pays the price, a transaction confirmation signal can be transmitted from the main office server (300). And a remittance request signal of money can be transmitted to the main office server (300) according to an agreement.
The agency servers (300,400) are connected to the provider server (200) and the client (100) through the computer networks (20) in order to process transaction data, and are connected to the associated bank server (500) through the computer networks in order to process pay data. On the other hand, icons of each provider are installed on Web sites of the agency servers, and if the client (100) clicks the icons, the client is linked to Web sites of each provider. The agency servers consist of the main office server (300) and the branch server (400).
Generally, the main office server (300) is related to the branch server (400)
as server to client relation. If the client (100) clicks an agency icon installed in a Web site of a provider, a transaction number should be downloaded to the client (100) and transaction data of a customer should be received from the provider server (200). Then, the data is stored in a database. The main office server (300) confirms whether any failure is generated by referring to transaction information on a transaction number transmitted from the branch server (400) and the paid price as well as data including the transaction number stored in the database and transaction details. Then, a confirmation signal of final transaction should be transmitted to the provider server (200). After receiving a transaction completion signal from the branch server, the signal should be retransmitted to the provider server (200). When a pay request signal is transmitted from the provider server (200), a remittance request signal is sent to the associated bank server (500).
The branch server (400) is installed in each branch of an associated bank. It is available to use a branch server (not drawn) of an existing associated bank or it is possible to install the branch server in each branch of the associated bank. The branch server (400) has an ID and a password. Therefore, if a customer pays the price by visiting each branch of an associated bank after receiving a transaction number from the client (100), the transaction number, ID authentication information, and the paid price as well as an ID and a password of the corresponding branch (400) are transmitted to the main office server (300). Then, the customer can get a predetermined confirmation of transaction. The main office server (300) transmits a transaction confirmation signal to the provider server (200), and a provider delivers a product to the branch of the associated bank. When the customer visits the branch to receive the product, the branch server (400) transmits a transaction completion signal to the main office server (300).
The associated bank server (500) is connected to the agency servers (300,
400) through the computer networks. The associated bank server (500) is in an existing bank associated with an agency and processes pay data. That is, the server receives a remittance request signal of a corresponding provider from the main office server (300) receiving a pay request signal from the provider server (200). Then, predetermined money is sent to the corresponding provider. A server (not drawn) of each branch of the associated bank can be used as the branch server (400) in accordance with the present invention as shown above.
FIG. 2 is a flow chart for illustrating an electronic commercial transaction method using a system by a first embodiment in accordance with the present invention. Referring to FIG.2, an electronic commercial transaction method in accordance with the present invention is as follows.
Step 1 (S10): a customer connects with a provider server (200) through computer networks (20) by controlling a client (100). When connecting with the provider server (200), there is a connecting method by directly inputting an ID address of a provider site and a connecting method by clicking icons of each provider installed in Web sites of agency servers (300, 400) in accordance with the present invention. After connecting, the client (100) selects a product provided by a provider and completes an order. Step 2 (S20): the client (100) clicks an agency icon to download a transaction number from the provider server (200). When clicking the agency icon, the provider server (200) transmits information on transaction details to a main office server, and the agency main office server (300) stores the information in a database. Step 3 (S30): the customer with the transaction number visits a branch of an associated bank having the branch server (400) within a given time.
Step 4 (S40): the customer pays the price. The branch server (400) transmits ID authentication information, the transaction number, and paid price information as well as an ID and a password of the corresponding branch server to the main office server (300) in order to confirm the transaction. Step 5 (S50): the branch server (400) issues a transaction confirmation to the customer.
Step 6 (S60): the main office server (300) refers to information transmitted from the branch server (400) and transaction details pre-stored in a database in order to check whether any error is generated. Step 7 (S70): the main office server (300) transmits a final transaction confirmation signal to the provider server (200).
Step 8 (S80): the provider delivers a product to the customer. The product should be delivered to a branch of an associated bank having the branch server (400). It can be a branch where the customer visits for the first time or be specially designated.
Step 9 (S90): when the customer receives the product by visiting the branch of the associated bank, the branch server (400) transmits a transaction completion signal to the main office server (300). The main office server (300) retransmits the transaction completion signal to the provider server (200). Step 10 (SI 00): the provider server (200) transmits a pay request signal to the main office server (300).
Step 11 (SI 10): the main office server (300) transmits a remittance request signal to the associated bank server (500). The associated bank sends predetermined money to the provider.
FIG. 3 is a second embodiment of an electronic commercial transaction
method in accordance with the present invention. Referring to FIG. 3, the second embodiment of the electronic commercial transaction method in accordance with the present invention relates to a lot of advance purchase. First, an agency is associated with ticket offices from sports, transportation, traveling, and accommodation fields, and ensures advance tickets in each branch of an associated bank.
Step 1: a customer controls a client (100) building a Web browser therein and connects to a provider server (200) through the Internet. When connecting to the provider server (200), there is a connecting method by directly inputting an IP address of a provider site and a connecting method by clicking icons of each provider installed in Web sites of agency servers (300, 400). After connecting, the client (100) selects an advance ticket provided by a provider and completes advance purchase.
Step 2: the client (100) clicks an agency icon to download an advance ticket number from the provider server (200). When clicking the agency icon, the provider server (200) transmits information on transaction details to a main office server and the agency main office server (300) stores the information in a database.
Step 3: the customer with the advance ticket number visits a branch of an associated bank installed with the branch server (400) within a given time. Step 4: the customer pays the price and receives an advance ticket. In this case, the customer has to show the downloaded advance ticket number. The branch server (400) transmits ID authentication information, the advance ticket number, the paid price as well as an ID and a password of the corresponding branch server to the main office server (300) in order to complete the transaction. Step 5 (100): the provider server (200) transmits a pay request signal to the main officer server (300).
Step 6 (110): the main officer server (300) transmits a remittance signal of a provider to the associated bank server (500). The associated bank sends predetermined money to the provider.
FIG. 4 is a third embodiment of an electronic commercial transaction method in accordance with the present invention. Referring to FIG. 4, the third embodiment relates to a method of receiving various applications. First, an agency is associated with various application reception desks and ensures applications in each branch of an associated bank. Step 1: a customer controls a client (100) building a Web browser therein and connects to a provider server (200) through the Internet. When connecting to the provider server (200), there is a connecting method by directly inputting an IP address of a provider site and a connecting method by clicking icons of each provider installed in Web sites of agency servers (300, 400). After connecting, the client (100) selects an advance ticket provided by a provider and completes an application.
Step 2: the client (100) clicks an agency icon to download an application number from the provider server (200). When clicking the agency icon, the provider server (200) transmits information on transaction details to a main office server and the agency main office server (300) stores the information in a database. Step 3: the customer with the application number visits a branch of an associated bank installed with the branch server (400) within a given time.
Step 4: the customer pays the price and receives an application. In this case, the customer has to show the downloaded application number. The branch server (400) transmits ID authentication information, the application number, the paid price as well as an ID and a password of the corresponding branch server to the
main office server (300) in order to complete the transaction.
Step 5 (100): the provider server (200) transmits a pay request signal to the main office server (300).
Step 6 (110): the main office server (300) transmits a remittance request signal to the associated bank server (500). The associated bank sends predetermined money to the provider.
Step 7: the customer can see application reception circumstances and examination results by connecting to the provider server through the client (100).
FIG. 5 is an overall system diagram of a fourth embodiment in accordance with the present invention. Referring to FIG. 5, an overall system of the fourth embodiment in accordance with the present invention comprises a domestic client (100) having each ID address and building a Web browser with Web data therein; computer networks (20) including the Internet on which the domestic client can get; a foreign provider server (200) connected with the domestic client through the computer networks and operating a Web site installed with foreign agency icons; a foreign agency server (350) connected to the foreign provider server (200) and the domestic client through the computer networks and operating Web sites installed with icons of each foreign provider; and domestic agency servers (300, 400) for receiving transaction details from the foreign agency server in order to process transaction data.
The foreign agency server (350) in accordance with the present invention consists of a foreign main office server connected to a main office of a foreign associated bank for processing pay data through computer networks and a foreign branch server installed in each national branch of the foreign associated bank. Only the foreign agency main office server (350) is drawn in FIG. 5. The domestic
agency server in accordance with the present invention consists of a domestic main office server (300) connected to a main office of a domestic associated bank for processing pay data through computer networks and a domestic branch server (400) installed in each domestic branch of the domestic associated bank. The foreign provider server (200) is installed in electronic commercial transaction providers associated with foreign agencies, distributors, product providers, service providers, public institutions, etc. The foreign provider server (200) displays a Web page for providing information on products or services of a corresponding foreign provider, ordering method, paying method, delivery method, etc. in an output unit of the client (100). On the Web site of the foreign provider, foreign agency icons are installed so that the client (100) can download a transaction number. On the other hand, when a domestic customer pays the price in a domestic agency branch, it is possible to receive a transaction confirmation signal from the foreign provider server (200). In this case, it is available to transmit a remittance request signal to the foreign provider server (200) according to an agreement.
The foreign agency server (350) is connected to the foreign provider server (200) and the domestic client (100) through the computer networks (20) in order to process transaction data, and is connected to a main office server (not drawn) of a foreign associated bank through computer networks in order to process pay data. In addition, the server is connected to a domestic agency server through the computer networks. On the other hand, icons of each foreign provider are installed on a Web site of the foreign agency server (350); therefore by clicking the icons, it is possible to connect to the Web site. If the domestic client (100) clicks a foreign agency icon of the Web site of the foreign provider, the foreign provider server (200) transmits transaction details
of a domestic customer to a domestic main office server, and transmits a transaction confirmation signal received from the domestic agency server to the foreign agency server (350). And if a pay request signal is transmitted from the foreign provider server (200), a remittance request signal is sent to a main office server (not drawn) of a foreign associated bank. Then, the foreign provider who receives the transaction confirmation signal from the foreign agency server (350) delivers a product to a branch of a domestic associated bank having a domestic branch server (400). When the domestic customer receives the product from the branch of the corresponding domestic associated bank, the domestic main office server (300) transmits a transaction completion signal in accordance with a transaction number to the foreign main office server (350).
When the domestic client (100) clicks an icon of a foreign agency installed in a foreign provider site, the domestic main officer server (300) receives data on transaction details from the foreign agency main office server (350) and stores the transaction details in a database. Also the server transmits a transaction confirmation signal to the foreign agency main office server (350). After receiving the transaction confirmation signal from the main office server (300), the foreign provider delivers a product to a branch of the domestic associated bank having the corresponding branch server (400). When a customer receives the product by visiting the branch of the corresponding associated bank, the branch server (400) transmits a transaction completion signal to the main office server (300). The domestic main office server (300) transmits the transaction completion signal to the foreign main office server (350).
When a domestic customer pays the price by visiting each branch of the domestic associated bank, the domestic branch server (400) transmits a transaction number, ID authentication information, pay information as well as an ID and a
password of the corresponding branch server (400) to the domestic main office server (300). Then, the server issues a predetermined transaction confirmation to the domestic customer.
A domestic associated bank server (not drawn) is connected to the domestic agency server through computer networks. The domestic associated bank server is in existing domestic banks associated with domestic agencies in order to process pay data.
The electronic commercial transaction method using the fourth embodiment in accordance with the present invention is as follows.
Step 1: a domestic customer controls a domestic client (100) and connects to a foreign provider server (200) through computer networks. When connecting to the foreign provider server (200), there is a connecting method by directly inputting an IP address of a foreign provider site and a connecting method by clicking icons of each provider installed in a Web site of a foreign agency server (350). When connecting to the foreign agency server (350), it is available to connect to the server by clicking an icon of a foreign agency installed in a Web site provided from a domestic provider. After connecting, the domestic client (100) selects a product provided by a foreign provider and completes an order. Step 2: the domestic client (100) clicks a foreign agency icon in order to download a transaction number from the foreign provider server (200). In addition, when clicking the foreign agency icon, the foreign provider server (200) transmits data on transaction details to the domestic main office server (300). The domestic main office server (300) stores the data in a database. Step 3: the domestic customer who downloads the transaction number visits the most convenient branch of a domestic associated bank having the domestic
branch server (400) within a given time.
Step 4: the domestic customer pays the price. The domestic branch server (400) transmits ID authentication information, the transaction number, pay information as well as an ID and a password of the corresponding branch server to the domestic main office server (300) in order to ensure transaction.
Step 5: the domestic branch server (400) issues a transaction confirmation to the corresponding customer.
Step 6: the domestic main office server (300) refers to information transmitted from the domestic branch server (400) and transaction details pre- stored in a database, and checks whether any error is generated.
Step 7: the domestic agency servers (300,400) transmit a final transaction confirmation signal to the foreign main office server (350).
Step 8: the foreign main office server (350) transmits the transaction confirmation signal to the foreign provider server (200). Then, a foreign provider delivers the product to the corresponding domestic customer as soon as the foreign provider receives the transaction confirmation signal. The product is delivered to a branch of the domestic associated bank having the domestic branch server (400).
The domestic customer can visit the branch for the first time or the branch can be specially designated. Step 9: when the corresponding domestic customer receives the product by visiting the branch of the domestic associated bank, the domestic branch server
(400) transmits a transaction completion signal to the domestic main office server
(300). The domestic main office server (300) retransmits the transaction completion signal to the foreign main office server (350), and the foreign main office server (350) retransmits the signal to the foreign provider server (200).
Step 10: the foreign provider server (200) transmits a pay request signal to
the foreign main office server (350). In this case, it is available to transmit a collection request signal to the domestic main office server (300). After receiving a pay completion signal from the domestic main office server (300) according to the Correspondent Agreement with the domestic agency, a foreign agency can perform pre-payment billing system for a foreign provider. And the foreign provider can negotiate the product cost (pre-payment billing system) with the foreign agency by attaching an approved document about product supply such as a shipping document.
Step 11: the foreign agency server (350) transmits a remittance request signal of a provider to the domestic main office server (300). Then, the domestic agency sends predetermined money to the foreign agency.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
According to the present invention, first, it provides an answer for simultaneously solving problems such as buyer authentication, payment stability, and transaction reliability, thereby contributing to the promotion of electronic commercial transaction as well as executing business for inactivated Internet sites. As a result, customers can buy products on the Internet in a convenient way, promoting existing electronic commercial transaction.
In addition, as a final position of electronic commercial transaction distribution, the booths are installed in branches of national banks and financial institutions, thus dealing specialized electronic commercial transaction products such as high-priced valuables or small-sized products. So, reliability of electronic commercial transaction distribution and customer satisfaction will be magnified as well as helping the promotion of electronic commercial transaction for inactivated
high-priced valuables.
And customers don't have to answer too many questions when filling out the form on the Internet and information leakage is completely prohibited. A customer visits a provider with stored transaction details and transaction number, so as to increase reliability between the both parties. And a provider data center confirms transaction conditions, cost, transaction number, etc. after the transaction, thereby preventing false transaction between the both parties.
On the other hand, a customer receives a receipt number after answering necessary questions only; therefore it is possible to receive the forms in distributed PCs. And the customer can visit any distributed branches of an agency with the receipt number; therefore it is available to create new reception models by carrying out application fee payment, examination certificate, ID authentication, etc. at a time. As a result, an excessive service of the reception desk can be improved.
As for advance tickets and the promotion of reservation, it is possible to make a reservation in advance on the Internet as well as promoting the existing Internet booking systems by connecting on-line and off-line after improving the existing on-line booking systems by which customers have to visit a bank to receive exclusive tickets as paying the price and answering too many questions after waiting for a long time. It is available to do reliable electronic commercial transaction by visiting a bank for the promotion of bank marketing, increasing customers who visit the bank to do various electronic commercial transaction dealings at a time such as advance purchase, product reception, application reception, etc.
While this invention has been described in terms of several preferred embodiments, there are alterations, permutations, and equivalents which fall within the scope of this invention. It is therefore intended that the following appended
claims be interpreted as including all such alterations, permutations, and equivalents as fall within the true spirit and scope of the present invention.
