Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a composition for moisturizing the skin, which enhances the skin's moisturizing effect by enhancing the moisturizing effect of the skin, and more particularly to a food for moisturizing the skin, which improves the moisturizing effect by oral ingestion.
  • dry skin In recent years, the population of dry skin (so-called dry skin) has increased due to the effects of changes in the living environment. Dry skin is a phenomenon that was previously common in middle-aged and elderly people, but has recently become more common in young women who tend to pursue excessive degreasing due to a desire for purity. To deal with these dry skins, it is important to provide adequate moisture for drying and to keep the skin moist. It is said that moisturizing the skin requires preventing the evaporation of water by the outermost layer of skin, the stratum corneum, rather than the sebum on the surface. Among various factors, keratinocyte intercellular lipids (ceramide, etc.) are said to be the most important.
  • the present inventors have conducted intensive studies in order to further express the moisturizing effect of ceramide, and as a result, focused on theanine, which is a kind of amino acid.
