Abstract

A predetermined amalgamation of electrodes (800d) formed or manufactured at least in part, by predetermined, sequential manufacturing operations into a balanced and shielding electrode structure. The balanced total electrode structure also uses a grouping of identically configured shielding electrodes (854).

Claims

83AMENDED CLAIMS[received by the International Bureau on 20 May 2002 (20.05.02); new claims 25-34 added; remaining claims unchanged (7 pages)]What is claimed:
1. An electrode arrangement comprising: a first plurality of electrodes arranged in a stack, and wherein said first plurality has at least three electrodes electrically coupled to one another; a second plurality of electrodes that are electrically coupled to one another; a third plurality of electrodes that are electrically coupled to one another; wherein said first, said second and said third plurality are electrically isolated from one another; wherein at least one electrode of the at least three electrodes of said first plurality is a shielding electrode that is sandwiched by an equally divided remainder of said first plurality; and wherein electrodes of said second plurality and electrodes of said third plurality are arranged from mutually opposite positions and orientated together in an equally divided manner that at least sandwiches said shielding electrode.
2. The electrode arrangement of claim 1, further comprising at least two outer shielding electrodes; and wherein the two outer shielding electrodes sandwich said first, said second and said third plurality.
3. The electrode arrangement of claim 2, further comprising at least two inner shielding electrodes that sandwich said shielding electrode; at least two outer shielding electrodes that are electrically coupled to the at least two inner shielding electrodes and the at least three electrodes of said first plurality; and wherein said two outer shielding electrodes at least sandwich the at least two inner shielding electrodes, said first, said second and said third plurality.
4. The electrode arrangement of claim 3, wherein at least two other electrodes of said first plurality are smaller than any remainder of electrodes of said first plurality. 84
5. The electrode arrangement of claim 4, wherein said second plurality comprises at least one electrode that is smaller than any other electrode of said second plurality.
6. The electrode arrangement of claim 5, wherein said third plurality comprises at least one electrode that is smaller than any other electrode of said third plurality.
7. The electrode arrangement of claim 1 , wherein said first plurality has at least a fourth electrode positioned above said second plurality and said third plurality; and wherein said first plurality has at least a fifth electrode positioned below said second plurality and said third plurality.
8. The electrode arrangement of claim 7, wherein said shielding electrode is the central electrode of the electrode arrangement.
9. The electrode arrangement of claim 7, wherein one electrode of said second plurality is smaller than any other electrode of said second plurality.
10. The electrode arrangement of claim 9, wherein one electrode of said third plurality is smaller than any other electrode of said third plurality.
11. The electrode arrangement of claim 1, wherein all electrodes of said second plurality are electrically coupled to one another by at least a first via; and wherein all electrodes of said third plurality are electrically coupled to one another by at least a second via.
12. The electrode arrangement of claim 1, wherein at least one electrode of said second plurality is electrically coupled to a remainder of said second plurality solely by at least a first via; and 85
wherein at least one electrode of said third plurality is electrically coupled to a remainder of said third plurality solely by at least a second via.
13. The electrode arrangement of claim 2, wherein at least one electrode of said second plurality is electrically coupled to a remainder of said second plurality solely by at least a first via; and wherein at least one electrode of said third plurality is electrically coupled to a remainder of said third plurality solely by at least a second via.
14. An energy pathway arrangement comprising: a first plurality of energy pathways of common size and shape, and wherein energy pathways of said first plurality are electrically coupled to one another; a second plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a third plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a material having predetermined electrical properties, and wherein said material at least spaces apart said first, said second and said third plurality from one another; wherein said second and said third plurality are at least positioned between at least two energy pathways of said first plurality; and wherein one other energy pathway of said first plurality is a central shielding energy pathway of the energy pathway arrangement is positioned between said second plurality and said third plurality.
15. A circuit assembly comprising: an energy source and an energy-utilizing load; at least a first and a second circuit pathway; a first plurality of energy pathways having at least three energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another, and wherein all electrodes of said first plurality are positioned in a common stack; a second plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a third plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; 86
wherein at least one energy pathway of the at least three energy pathways of said first plurality is a shielding energy pathway; wherein said shielding energy pathway is sandwiched by an equally divided remainder of energy pathways of said first plurality; and wherein all electrodes of said second plurality and all electrodes of said third plurality are arranged paired respectively, in corresponding and complementary positions that at least sandwiches said shielding energy pathway; wherein said first circuit pathway and said second circuit pathway are located on opposite electrical sides of said energy source and said energy-utilizing load, respectively; wherein said first circuit pathway is electrically coupled to said second plurality; wherein said second circuit pathway is electrically coupled to said third plurality; and wherein said first plurality is electrically isolated from said first circuit pathway and said second circuit pathway.
16. The circuit assembly of claim 15, wherein said energy-utilizing load is at least an integrated circuit.
17. The circuit assembly of claim 15, wherein the circuit assembly is operable as at least as a portion of a capacitive network.
18. The circuit assembly of claim 16, wherein the circuit assembly is operable as at least as a bypass capacitor.
19. An energy pathway arrangement comprising: a first plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a second plurality of energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a plurality of shielding energy pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a material having electrical properties, and wherein the material is in position to prevent electrical coupling of any said plurality to any other said plurality. 87
wherein said plurality of shielding energy pathways are in position operable for shielding at least said first and said second plurality of energy pathways from one another; wherein said first and said second plurality of energy pathways are substantially immured within a vertical stacking of said plurality of shielding energy pathways; and wherein the total sum number of shielding energy pathways of said plurality of shielding energy pathways is an odd number.
20. The energy pathway arrangement of claim 19, wherein said energy pathway arrangement is arranged to define a bypass capacitor.
21. The energy pathway arrangement of claim 19, wherein at least a plurality of outer energy pathways sandwiches the energy pathway arrangement.
22. The energy pathway arrangement of claim 19, wherein at least a plurality of inner energy pathways sandwiches at least one shielding energy pathway of said plurality of shielding energy pathways.
23. The energy pathway arrangement of claim 21, wherein at least a plurality of inner energy pathways sandwiches at least one shielding energy pathway of said plurality of shielding energy pathways.
24. A pathway arrangement comprising: a first shielding pathway; a first plurality of pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a second shielding pathway; a second plurality of pathways that are electrically coupled to one another; a third shielding pathway; wherein any shielding pathway of the pathway arrangement are electrically coupled to one another; and 88
wherein said first plurality is at least practicable for electrically complementary operations relative to said second plurality.
25. The pathway arrangement of claim 24, further comprising; at least a fourth plurality of pathways that are electrically coupled to one another and said first plurality; a fourth shielding pathway; at least a fifth plurality of pathways that are electrically coupled to one another and said second plurality; and wherein at least a fifth shielding pathway.
26. The pathway arrangement of claim 24, wherein the second shielding pathway is the central pathway of the pathway arrangement
27. The pathway arrangement of claim 25, wherein the third shielding energy pathway is the central energy pathway of the pathway arrangement; and wherein at least one energy pathway of said first plurality or said second plurality is a split energy pathway.
28. The energy pathway arrangement as in any one of claims 19-23, in which all shielding energy pathways of said plurality of shielding energy pathways are of common size and shape.
29. The pathway arrangement as in any one of claims 24-27, in which all shielding pathways of the pathway arrangement are of common size and shape.
30. The pathway arrangement as in any one of claims 24-27, in which said pathway arrangement is operable as at least as a portion of a circuit.
31. The energy pathway arrangement of claim 14, wherein said energy pathway arrangement is operable as at least as a portion of a circuit. 89
32. The electrode arrangement as in any one of claims 1-13, in which said energy pathway arrangement is operable as at least as a portion of a circuit.
33. The electrode arrangement as in any one of claims 1-13, in which said energy pathway arrangement is at least electrically coupled to an integrated circuit.
34. The pathway arrangement as in any one of claims 24-27, in which said pathway arrangement is operable as at least as a portion of a circuit.
