Abstract

The present invention relates to a multifunction telephone system and a method thereof using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) which is capable of improving speech quality, advertising in telephone communication, and performing a free telephone service by transmitting voice data and contents data separately.

Description

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL TELEPHONE SYSTEM
USING INTERNET AND PSTN
AND METHOD THEREOF
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a communication service using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network), in particular to a multifunction telephone system and a method thereof using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network ) which is capable of improving speech quality, advertising in telephone communication, and performing a free telephone service by transmitting voice data and contents data separately.
BACKGROUND ART Convenience of living is continually pursued according to differentiation and diversity of the modern society, and development of a technology makes possible the need. In particular, myriad of data are recorded on the internet as a thesaurus of information, and the internet comprises a plurality of virtual spaces called as web-sites. In addition, the internet has been developed in accordance with development of various communication networks. For example, Korea has a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) having about 24,000,000 telephone circuits connected all over the country, and there is the wide PSTN having about 700,000,000 telephone circuits all over the world. According to human needs pursuing convenience and development of technology and information communication, methods for using the internet more efficiently are researched, among them there is a method for using a telephone which is a major communication mean of life on the internet. For example, there is the communication service technology represented as an Internet Phone or Dial Pad. The conventional technology can call the telephone by clicking a telephone number registered in advance by using a program of itself and wide communication channels.
However, in the conventional technology, a speech quality is lower than the PSTN, and even the speech quality goes from bad to worse or the communication is cut off when there is traffic.
Because of the above-mentioned problems, the conventional technology can not provide various kinds of contents, but can display simple type advertisement on a display unit of a PC of a user. In addition, the advertisement is only provided to a caller, accordingly advertisement efficiency is lowered.
In addition, in a voice advertisement, range of the advertisement is restricted due to lack of visual effects.
In addition, the conventional technology adopts a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) method, the user can talk after the other party finishes words such as a walkie-talkie communication when the user uses an unilateral (simplex) sound card, and the user has to listen the advertisement all in order to make a telephone call.
In addition, the conventional communication service can be restrictedly performed by a program of the PC, or the user has to connect a home page of a service provider in order to use the service.
In addition, the conventional communication technology can not recognize telephone numbers recorded on the web or documents, accordingly the user has to register the pertinent telephone number before calling or has to register each telephone number in advance.
TECHNICAL GIST OF THE PESENT INVENTION
The object of the present invention is to provide a system comprising a multifunction telephone performing various complex functions and an operation server performing service for providing convenience to a user.
The other object of the present invention is to provide a multifunction telephone system using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) which is capable of improving speech quality, advertising in telephone communication, and performing free telephone service by transmitting voice data and contents data separately through the PSTN and internet.
The another object of the present invention is to provide a telephone communication service which is capable of providing convenient telephone communication service to the user by checking a telephone state of the user after confirming user's connection to a telephone service web page of the operation server and authorization of the user.
The another object of the present invention is to provide a multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) which is capable of providing a telephone communication service with a service for providing convenience to an advertisement user (receiving the advertisement) after checking the telephone state of the user, and saving points corresponding to the service. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN
(Public Switching Telephone Network) for the telephone communication and user service according to the present invention comprises a multifunction telephone connected to the PSTN for performing telephone communication with the other telephone set in remote area by control of a PC or control of the multifunction telephone set itself after being interfaced with the PC (Personal Computer), the PC connected to the multifunction telephone set and internet in order to perform the telephone communication control installed a telephone control program module interlocked with the multifunction telephone set in order to perform the telephone communication and a user service, and control a certain operation state, and an operation server contacted to the PC through the internet for providing information for the user service and a certain contents.
In addition, the multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN for performing the service for telephone communication and user convenience according to the present invention comprises a contact process for contacting the telephone service web page of the operation server in order to perform the telephone communication and service, a registering process for registering unauthorized user after checking authorization of the user through the operation server, a display process for performing telephone calling after checking the telephone state of the user and displaying the connection state corresponding to the telephone calling, a telephone communication performing process for performing the telephone communication, at the same time checking communication time according to the telephone connection to the other party and performing display of a certain advertisement and a user convenience service, and a storing process for storing a user point in accordance with the checked communication time after ending the display of the advertisement and user convenience service according to the end of the telephone communication.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to accompanying drawings.
FIG.1A is a block diagram illustrating construction of a system according to the embodiment of the present invention.
As depicted in FIG.1 , the system according to the embodiment of the present invention comprises a PC 100, a multifunction telephone set 110, and an operation server 130.
The multifunction telephone set 110 is connected to a remote telephone 140 through a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network). In addition, the multifunction telephone set 110 compπses a second master control unit 113, a communication control unit 115, a key input unit 112, and a display unit 111.
The communication control unit 115 can be connected to a head set 114 or a branch telephone 120.
The PC 100 comprises an input mean 102 such as a key board and a mouse, an output mean for outputting video signal and audio signal to a monitor, a communication mean 104 for contacting the internet such as a LAN card, and a first master control unit 103 for overall-controlling the each mean 101 , 102, 104.
Hereinafter, the operation of the construction parts will now be described in detail.
First, the multifunction telephone set 110 converts analog audio data into digital data such as a MP3 (Moving Picture Expert Group 3) format through analog/digital mutual conversion, stores and performs the data.
In order to process the audio data, the communication control unit 115 of the multifunction telephone set 110 is connected to the PSTN through a line, and performs functions for controlling the communication such as a ring detection, a ring transmission, a communication state monitoring and a ON/OFF hook.
In addition, the communication control unit 115 has terminals for connecting to external units, accordingly the head set 114, branch telephone 120, or tranceiver (not shown) ect. can be connected. The communication control unit 115 can be connected to the tranceiver besides the branch telephone 120.
The key input unit 112 outputs a telephone number for calling and various control orders to the second master control unit 113.
The display unit 114 displays communication state, various monitoring results, and input state. In addition, the display unit 114 displays caller's telephone number analyzed on the second master control unit 112.
The second master control unit 113 transmits the control order outputted from the key input unit 112 to the communication control unit 115 in order to perform the order requested by the user.
After that, the second master control unit 113 is inputted a control signal for controlling the communication from the communication control unit 115, and transmits the control signal to the PC 100 in order to perform the function for controlling the communication using the PC 100. The second master control unit 113 performs A/D or D/A conversion of a signal inputted from the PC 100, transmits it to the PC 100 in order to transmit it to various external units, and comprises a sound source chip for processing sound data inputted from the PC 100.
The multifunction telephone110 comprises a serial communication terminal, and is connected to the PC 100 as a serial communication method (RS-232C) or USB (Universal Serial Bus) communication method in order to receive/transmit data.
In addition, the multifunction telephone set 110 interlocks with the PC 100, when the telephone call is received in the user's absence, it can perform an answering machine function.
The PC 100 is connected to the internet and multifunction telephone set 110, and the telephone control program module for controlling the multifunction telephone set 110 is installed on the PC 100. In addition, the PC 100 performs the various internet data reception/transmission and master control function through the telephone control program module 150.
After that, the operation server 130 connected to the internet provides services and various internet contents for operation of the pertinent web site and user convenience according to the embodiment of the present invention. After that, the telephone control program module 150 and operation server 130 installed on the PC 100 will now be described in detail with reference to accompanying FIG.1A and 1 B.
FIG.1 B is a block diagram illustrating construction of a telephone control program module and an operating server according to the embodiment of the present invention.
As depicted in FIG.1 B, the telephone control program module 150 comprises a PC control unit 155 for controlling the multifunction telephone set 110, performing the telephone control program and master control through the communication with the operation server, a telephone set control interface 151 connected to the multifunction telephone set 110 for interfacing a certain information in accordance with control of the PC control unit 155, a character reader 158 for recognizing a certain data having a telephone number form displayed on the PC 100, a voice recognition unit 159 for recognizing voice signal inputted to the multifunction telephone set 110, a user authorization information module 154 having information about authorization of the user, a schedule information module 152 having schedule information about the user, a name card information module 153 storing name card information about the user, an advertisement information module 156 for displaying advertisement included in the contents, and a latest telephone number list 157 storing information about the telephone numbers called lately for a certain time. Hereinafter, its operation will now be described.
First, the telephone control program module 150 is installed on the PC 110. The telephone control program module 150 is connected to the PC 100 and multifunction telephone set 110 in order to control and interface the multifunction telephone set 110 on the PC 100.
In addition, the telephone control program module 150 displays the advertisement during the telephone communication, and controls the telephone communication control by recognizing the various schedule information, name card information, and telephone numbers on the general browsers.
First, the PC control unit 151 controls the multifunction telephone set 110 on the PC 100, and performs master control by operating the telephone control program while information is received/transmitted through the communication with the operation server 130.
The telephone control interface is connected to the multifunction telephone set 110, controls the multifunction telephone set 110 through the PC 100, and transmits mutually various information
The character reader 158 automatically recognizes the telephone numbers included in the document of the windows, the voice recognition unit 159 recognizes the audio signal inputted from an audio signal input/output mean (not shown) of the multifunction telephone set 110 in order to control the telephone control program module with voice.
In addition, the latest telephone number list 157 of the telephone control program module 150 displays the telephone number list called lately. In addition, the user authorization information module 154 of the telephone control program module 150 performs authorization of the user, the schedule information module 152 provides various convenience and schedule 5 information about the user, the name card information module 153 provides information about the telephone numbers, and the advertisement information module 156 provides the information for displaying the advertisement.
After that, the operation server 130 is connected to the PC 100 installed the telephone control program module 150 and internet, performs ι o the user authorization and management, exchanges various information mutually through the communication with the user, and provides advertisement to the PC 100.
As described above, the operation server comprises a server control unit 135 for overall-controlling the operation server system and performing the
15 telephone communication on the web, a web server 138 for performing a certain function required for the operation of the internet web site according to the control of the server control unit 135, a user management server 131 for management about the user, a point management server 137 for managing advertisement points according to the telephone use of the user,
20 an authorization server 134 for managing the authorization of the user, a schedule server 132 for storing and managing the schedule information about the user, a name card server 133 for managing name card information about the user, an advertisement server 136 for managing information about the advertisement displayed on the user PC. After that, its operation will now be described.
First, the server control unit 135 controls overall system of the operation server 130, exchanges various information mutually with the PC 100, and controls the telephone calling on the web. The web server 138 performs various functions related to the operation of the internet web site.
The user management server 131 , point management server 137, authorization server 134, schedule server 132, name card server 133, and advertisement server 136 perform database function. In other words, the user management server 131 performs the user management, and the point management server 137 performs advertisement point management of the each user according to the telephone use.
In addition, the authorization server 134 performs the authorization of the user, the schedule server 132 performs the schedule management of the each user, the name card server 133 manages the name card information, and the advertisement server 136 displays advertisement while the telephone communication is performed on the web.
The character reader 158 inside of the telephone control program module recognizes data having the telephone number form displayed on the general document and internet web browser in accordance with the control of the user, and performs automatically a dialing function. Accordingly, the multifunction telephone set according to the present invention is capable of calling the telephone automatically.
In addition, an advertisement method can be performed in the present invention which is capable of improving effect of the advertisement by advertising to both the caller and the other party, and providing benefit in accordance with advertisement watching results.
In addition, it is possible to perform subdivided advertising such as an advertisement according to age groups, a selective advertisement, an area advertisement, a gender advertisement, an advertisement by the hour and a product advertisement ect.
In addition, it is possible to display moving picture data such as a Shockwave or mov file by using an image window including a banner advertisement.
In addition, the each service management and database processing provided from the multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN can be operated on the each user side, and it is also possible to leave them in the hands of the server side as occasion demands. FIG.2 illustrates a telephone control window of the telephone control program module according to the embodiment of the present invention.
As depicted in FIG.2, the telephone control window illustrates the embodiment displayed on the monitor, the position and image of the pertinent menu can be reconstructed in accordance with intention of the user. First, the initial picture of the telephone control window is described on the left upper portion in FIG.2, its construction will now be described.
A display window for displaying telephone state, advertisement point, telephone number ect. is constructed on the upper portion of the display window. A selective menu window for displaying the name card management, schedule, home for connecting to the home page, help ect. is constructed on the left upper portion.
Number buttons and function buttons ('*', '#') are constructed on the middle portion. A flash button for a new telephone calling, a clear button for erasing inputted telephone numbers, a call button for asking telephone communication and a redial button are constructed on the right portion.
And, a link button for searching marked site, a point button for informing present advertisement point, a picture communication button for a picture communication, an audio recognition button for performing the audio recognition function are constructed on the lower portion.
After that, when the telephone communication is performed on the initial picture by receiving a telephone call or calling, as depicted on the right upper portion in the FIG.2, the display window of the initial picture is changed into a banner advertisement window, and the numbers on the middle portion are changed into an advertisement window illustrating such a Shockwave image.
In addition, the call button of the initial picture is operated in the call button in the telephone calling, and is changed into a cancellation button after the telephone calling. The advertisement window can be opened differently according to the select of the user, and the advertisement window can be minimized or maximized in accordance with the control of the user.
After that, in the telephone calling, the telephone umber inputted from the user is displayed on the display window for a certain time, and the telephone number successfully called is stored on the latest telephone number list 157 automatically.
After that, when the user clicks the telephone number display unit of the display window with a mouse, the telephone numbers recently called are outputted.
Meanwhile, when the user clicks the link button, as depicted on the left lower portion in FIG.2, the number buttons are changed into names of major web sites, when the user clicks the name of the web site, it is directly contacted to the pertinent home page. Herein, the user can change a list of the web sites through an additional menu.
After that, when the user clicks the point button on the left lower portion, the user can check the present advertisement point by contacting a point page of the server. Accordingly, the picture control window according to the embodiment of the present invention can be changed variously in accordance with the control of the user, and can display lots of functions and information.
Hereinafter, process for performing a picture communication using the multifunction telephone system of the present invention will now be described in detail. First, when the caller prepares a picture camera, inputs telephone number of the other party, and clicks the picture communication button placed on the left upper portion, the information related to the other telephone number and picture communication is transmitted to the operation server 130.
After that, the operation server 130 performs the user authorization, stores the information related to the telephone number of the other party and picture communication, and transmits a signal authorizing the telephone calling to the PC control unit 155 of the caller's PC.
The PC control unit of the caller's PC tries the telephone calling to the other party after being inputted the signal authorizing the telephone calling.
After that, when the telephone calling is performed, the operation server 130 performs advertising on the PC of the caller and the other party.
In addition, the operation server 130 recognizes the present communication state as the picture communication, and transmits the video data inputted from the picture camera of the caller to the other party. When the video data of the other party is inputted, the operation server 130 transmits the video data to the caller. Accordingly, the picture communication can be performed.
Herein, the present invention is different from the conventional technology transmitting the video and audio through one circuit, the multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to the present invention is capable of performing the telephone communication having good speech quality and contact rate by transmitting the audio data and video data separately through the PSTN and internet.
In addition, the multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to the present invention is capable of performing the telephone communication and adjusting by the voice recognition. Herein, the voice recognition function applies a speaker independent variable vocabulary recognition technology and a learning technology. The speaker independent variable vocabulary recognition technology can be performed when there is a database recording recognition object vocabularies from a plurality of speakers. In addition, the user learning is for a user who can not perform a voice recognition through a user interface.
In order to communicate according to the voice recognition, the user clicks the voice recognition button, and speaks an order through a microphone of the head set. For example, when the user clicks the audio recognition button, and speaks "call 011-xxxxxxx" in accordance with the telephone number of the other party, the telephone calling is automatically performed to the said telephone number. After that, when the user speaks "cancellation" after the telephone communication, the telephone communication is automatically ended up. In addition, when the user speaks "home" or "point", the voice recognition adjustment for transferring the home page and point page can be performed. Meanwhile, in order to cancel the audio recognition function, the user clicks the audio recognition button.
In addition, it is possible to perform the telephone communication selectively by searching the pertinent telephone number on a data-based phone book and selecting the pertinent telephone number. For example, when the user speaks "x x x 's house', the system can search the telephone number stored on the 'house' item, and the system can call the telephone number corresponding to "x x x" among the stored telephone numbers.
Accordingly, it is possible to use the voice recognition technology complexly on the basis of this kind of function. The tele-education can be more interactive by adopting the multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to the present invention. For example, in the conventional video education, materials prepared in advance are orderly or selectively provided to users, and questions and all sorts about the study are received and processed through e-mail. However, in the tele-education adopting the multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to the present invention, a teacher and students can watch and listen each other's face and voice in realtime while the education is proceeded. In addition, the multifunction telephone system using the internet and
PSTN according to the present invention is capable of recording and storing received telephone calls when the user is away or the telephone communication is performed. Particularly, when the user is away, received telephone calls can be automatically recorded by setting the multifunction telephone system as an absent state. Herein, it is possible to set the multifunction telephone system in advance so as to make information about the other party store on a certain portion.
The recorded telephone talk and information about the other party can be checked from outside, and can be erased as occasion demands. Herein, a secret code locking can be set and used in order to make only the authorized user erase/use the information. In addition, a reservation telephone system for making a telephone call at a set time is possible.
In addition, the voice recognition function can be used variously. For example, the user can listen a character form massage received as the e-mail through a telephone set.
Herein, the telephone calling using the PC is controlled by the telephone control program module 150. In other words, the multifunction telephone set 110 is connected to the PC 100 through the telephone control interface 151 , the PC control unit 155 controls the telephone calling through the telephone control interface 151.
The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to the present invention has two connection methods, the one performs the contact on the internet, and the other performs the contact directly to the telephone set of the other party by operating the telephone control program module 150 of the PC 100.
Hereinafter, the telephone calling and receiving process will now be described in detail with reference to accompanying FIG.3A~3C.
First, when the user clicks the home menu so as to select the pertinent web site after operating the telephone control program of the PC100, the user can contact to a telephone service page (Money Phone Page) of the operation server 130 S1.
After that, when the user contacts to the telephone service page, the user authorization information of the user authorization information module 154 of the user computer is checked by the control of the authorization server 134 S2.
In the checking process S2, when the user authorization is not confirmed or it is the first visit, the telephone control program is down-loaded
from the operation server 130 S8. After that, the down-loaded telephone control program is installed on the user computer S9, and the user registering is performed S10.
When the user registering is performed S10, the user information is stored on the user authorization information module 154 S3. After that, when the user registering is performed, the authoπzation server 134 searches the user authorization information of the user computer, and performs the user authorization.
When the user authorization is finished, the initial picture (telephone calling picture) of the telephone control window such as FIG.2 is displayed S4.
When the user inputs the telephone umber on the displayed initial picture S5, and the telephone calling is performed according to the inputted telephone number S6.
After that, when the telephone calling is performed S6, the master control unit operates in order to check the telephone state, FIG.3B illustrates the process.
The PC control unit 155 of the user computer checks the telephone state S12. Herein, when the hook button is ON, a message informing the telephone calling impossibility is displayed on the display window S11. In addition, in the telephone state checking process S12, when the branch telephone 120 is in use or the telephone communication is impossible because of additional reasons, the pertinent message informing the telephone communication impossibility is displayed on the display window S13.
Meanwhile, in the telephone state checking process S12, when the telephone communication is possible (Hook OFF), the telephone control program module 150 tries dialing to the inputted telephone number through the telephone control interface 151 S19.
After the dialing S19, the telephone state of the other party is checked S20. In the telephone state of the other party checking process S20, when there is no answer from the other party side S16, a ring back tone is detected and a timer is operated S17, a message such as 'there is no answer' is displayed on the display window S18, the telephone calling is canceled S15, and it is returned to the initial picture of the telephone calling S14. Meanwhile, in the telephone state of the other party checking process
S20, when the line is busy a message informing 'the line is busy' is displayed on the display window S24.
After the message S24, the timer is operated S26, and a redialing is automatically performed S27. In the redialing process, when the user cancels the redialing s25, and it is returned to the telephone calling process S19.
Meanwhile, in the telephone state of the other party checking process S20, when the telephone calling is performed successfully, the server control nit 135 of the operation server transmits information about a telephone contact and telephone state ect. to the PC control unit 155, the user PC 100 displays the state.
After that, when the timer is operated S21 , an advertisement is displayed S22. The advertisement is displayed on the display window of the telephone control program, namely, the button display portion of the telephone control window, it can be displayed on additional window according to the user select. In addition, the advertisement is down-loaded from the advertisement information module 156, in consideration of down-load time a new advertisement can be down-loaded while an advertisement down-loaded in advance is displayed.
The telephone communication is continued while the advertisement is displayed on the advertisement window S23. Various voice communication methods such as connecting directly by using the head set (tranceiver) connected to the telephone set or connecting through the sound card ect. can be performed in accordance with system circumstances.
After that, it is judged whether the telephone communication is finished S29. In the judging process S29, when the telephone communication continuing is confirmed the telephone communication is continued s30.
Meanwhile, in the judging process S29, when the telephone communication is finished the telephone communication is finished by clicking the hook button (Hook OFF) on the telephone control program.
In addition, in the judging process S29, when the telephone communication finishing is confirmed, the telephone communication is finished by getting the hook of the telephone set ON S32. Herein, the hook information finishing the telephone communication is applied to the PC control unit 155 through the telephone control interface 151 , accordingly the telephone communication is finished.
When the telephone communication is finished S31 , S32, the timer is stopped S33, the advertisement is stopped S34, and points corresponding to the telephone communication time checked by the timer are saved S35. The points are saved on the point management server 137 of the operation server 130 S38, after that the picture is returned to the telephone service page (Money Phone Page). In brief, the telephone calling method using the internet according to the embodiment of the present invention contacts to the pertinent web site of the operation server 130 providing the telephone control service, operates the telephone control program of the user computer, and perform dialing to the inputted telephone number of the other party. After that, when the telephone is contacted, the timer is operated, the advertisement is displayed on the picture while the telephone communication is performed, when the telephone communication is finished, the points in accordance with the telephone communication time are saved, and returns to the telephone service page of the pertinent service. FIG.4 is a flow chart illustrating a name card information management and a using process of the name card information according to the embodiment of the present invention. The user can use the name card management service, and use the telephone service in away by storing the each user name card information on the name card information module 153. In addition, the user can call the telephone by using the telephone number included in the name card information. Herein, as depicted in FIG.3B and 3C, the telephone communication and advertising are performed, and the advertisement point storing is performed when the telephone communication is finished. The name card management information of the user stored on the manage information module 153 is displayed by contacting the pertinent home page of the service site, it comprises register, amendment, cancellation, telephone calling and reference process about the pertinent name card information, it will be described in detail.
First, after storing various name card information on the telephone control program, the stored name card information is called on the telephone calling picture S40.
After, the user selects name card information on the called name card information S41. A picture related to the name card information from the name card information module 153 is displayed according to the selected name card information S42.
After, among the register, reference, amendment, calling and erasing functions the user selects the function wanted to perform S44, and it is returned to the initial picture. Herein, the information reference of the name register S58 performs request and transmission according to a HTTP (Hyper- Text Transfer Protocol) GET method of the name card server 133 S59, the information related to the name is down-loaded to the user PC 100 S60. Or, the name data is up-loaded from the user PC 100 to the name card server 133 S60.
The above-described process is for owning the pertinent information mutually by getting the information related to the name data-based on the
user PC.
In the selecting process S44, when the user selects the telephone calling, the telephone number corresponding to the selected name card information is selected S45, and the telephone calling is performed S46. When the telephone calling is automatically performed, the telephone calling picture is displayed S47. After that, the second master control unit 113 operates S48, and performs the process checking the telephone condition of the receiver as depicted in FIG.3B. Herein, the second master control unit 113 checks the telephone condition of the receiver by being inputted the control signal from the first master control unit 103. In the selecting process S44, when the user wants to performs the name register S49, each person information to be registered on the name register is inputted S50, in order to store the information S51 it is outputted to the name card information module 153.
After, the name picture informing the amended information is displayed S56.
Meanwhile, in the selecting process S44, when the user erases the information registered on the name register S57, and the information recorded on the name card information module 153 is erased.

FIG.5 is a flow chart illustrating a schedule information management and a using process of the schedule information according to the embodiment of the present invention. While the schedule management service is provided according to the FIG.4 process, the each user schedule information is stored on the schedule server 132 of the operation server 130, accordingly the user can use the telephone service in outside by using the schedule information of him/herself.
In addition, the telephone calling can be performed by using the telephone numbers included in the schedule information. Herein, the telephone communication and advertisement display are performed in accordance with the order of FIG.3B and 3C, and when the telephone communication is finished the advertisement points saving is performed.
The schedule management information is displayed by contacting the pertinent homepage of the service site and displaying the schedule management information of the user stored on the schedule information module 152, it comprises a register, amendment, erase, telephone calling and reference processes, it will be described in detail.
First, after storing various schedule information on the telephone control program, on the telephone calling picture the stored schedule information is called S70.
After, when the user selects the wanted schedule information among the called schedule information S71 , the selected schedule information is displayed from the schedule information module 152 S73. After the user performs the selected function among the register, reference, amendment, telephone calling and erasing functions about the schedule information s74, it is returned to the initial picture.
Herein, a schedule register information reference S88 operates
request and transmission according to the HTTP (Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol) GET method of the schedule server 132 S89, and the schedule information is down-loaded to the user PC 100 S90. In addition, the schedule data is up-loaded from the user PC 100 to the schedule server 132. It is for owning the pertinent information mutually by getting the schedule information 5 data-based on the user computer.

Meanwhile, in the selecting process S74, when the user amends the recorded schedule information S83, the schedule information to be amended 20 is inputted S84, in order to store the information S85, the information is outputted to the schedule information module 152.
After that, the picture illustrating the amended schedule information is displayed S86.
Meanwhile, in the selecting process S74, when the user erases the information recorded on the schedule register S87, the schedule information recorded on the schedule information module 152 is erased, the schedule picture illustrating the information excluding the erased information is displayed S86. FIG.6 is a flow chart illustrating a telephone calling method on the user computer according to the present invention. It illustrates the user makes a telephone call by using the telephone control program installed on the PC.
First, the user operates the telephone control program installed on the user PC 100 S100, the user authorization is confirmed by transmitting the user authorization information to the operation server 130 S101.
After confirming the user authorization from the web server 138, the telephone calling picture is displayed S102, various information are downloaded from the operation server 130. After downloading from the operation server 130, the telephone number is inputted S103, and the telephone calling is performed S104. After, the telephone calling and communication are performed according to the order described in FIG.3B and 3C, the advertisement is displayed while the telephone communication is performed, the advertisement points are saved when the telephone communication is finished. As described telephone calling through the user authorization is for the advertisement service and points saving corresponding to the advertisement watching, when the user does not want the advertisement, the user can make a telephone call without the authorization process of the server.
FIG.7A and 7B are flow charts illustrating data transmission process to the user computer in the telephone communication according to the present invention. The transmission process is proceeded as same when the user make a telephone call by inputting the telephone number directly on the PC 100, by clicking the telephone number on the document, and by calling directly.
After operating the telephone control program, a outputting process for outputting a result message after checking the telephone state, a dialing process for dialing the telephone number after inputting the telephone number of the other party and clicking the telephone calling, a message outputting process for outputting whether the telephone of the other party is answered into a message, after the dialing when the telephone contact is performed, a timer is operated in the telephone contact, at the same time the telephone communication is performed, when the telephone communication is finished, it is returned to the initial picture of the telephone control program, FIG.7A illustrates above-described, and it will now be described in detail.
First, after operating the PC 100, the telephone control program is operated S201. Herein, the telephone control program is operated and displays a money phone picture S203 when the user clicks the telephone control program on the window, the hook is OFF, or the ring is received. In addition, the telephone control program checks the telephone state whether the telephone communication is possible or not S204.
In the telephone state checking process S204, when the hook button is ON state, a message such as "the hook button is ON state" is displayed on
the display window S202. In the telephone state checking process S204, when the branch telephone set 120 is in use, a message such as "the branch telephone is in use" is displayed S205.
After, in the telephone state checking process S204, when the hook button is OFF, the telephone calling is performed S210, and the telephone state of the receiver is checked S211.
In the telephone state of the receiver checking process S211 , when therein no answer from the receiver for a certain time S207, the timer is operated S208, and the message such as "there is no answer" is displayed on the display window S209.
After displaying the message on the display window, when the user clicks the cancellation button, the dialing is canceled S206.
Meanwhile, in the telephone state of the receiver checking process S211 , when the line is busy, a message informing "the line is busy" is displayed on the display window S215. After the message, the timer is operated S217, and a redialing is automatically performed after a certain time S218.
In the redialing process, the redialing is canceled S216 when the user clicks the cancellation button, and it is returned to the telephone state of the receiver checking process S211.
Meanwhile, in the telephone state of the receiver checking process S211 , when the telephone is contact to the receiver side, the timer is operated
S212.
When the timer is operated S212, the advertisement is displayed on the advertisement window of the telephone control program S213, the telephone communication is continued while the advertisement is displayed S214. Herein, the advertisement is displayed on the advertisement window of the telephone control program by being inputted from the advertisement module S219.
After, it is judged whether the telephone communication is finished S220.
In the judging process S220, when the telephone communication is finished, the hook button is clicked on the telephone control program S222, or the telephone communication is finished by getting the hook button of the telephone set itself ON S223.
After, when the telephone communication is finished S222, S223, after the timer is stopped s224, the advertisement is stopped S225. When the advertisement is stopped S225, the advertisement points are saved on the point management server S228, and it is returned to the initial picture (Money Phone picture) of the telephone control program S227.
Herein, when the user makes a call directly as the off line state, the advertisement can be displayed while the telephone communication is performed. In this case, the advertisement information stored on the user computer is displayed, the advertisement points can be accumulated by uploading the point information corresponding to the advertisement display.
FIG.8A and 8B are flow charts illustrating telephone reception process of the user according to present invention. It illustrates the process when the user receives the telephone call on the telephone control program. In addition, when the telephone call is received, the process is same when the user receives the call on the PC 100 or receives the call on the telephone set.
First, when a ring signal of the telephone set is transmitted to the PC 100, the PC 100 recognizes it s300. When the PC 100 recognizes the ring signal, the timer is operated S301 , and it is checked whether the user receives the received call S302.
In other words, when the telephone call is received, the telephone control program is automatically operated, it is checked whether the telephone receiving is performed in a certain time by operating the timer. In the call reception checking process S302, when the user does not receive the telephone call, the ring signal is automatically stopped S306, the timer checking the telephone communication time is stopped S305. After stopping the timer S305, the telephone control program is stopped S304. In other words, when the user does not receive the telephone call, the user can stop the telephone call by stopping the timer and telephone control program.
In addition, in the call reception checking process S302, when the receiver does not receive the telephone call, the telephone call is stopped by getting the hook button ON on the telephone control program S303. In other words, when the receiver does not answer the phone, the telephone control program cuts off the call automatically.
Herein, when the user connects the telephone call to the other person, the flash button is clicked.
Meanwhile, , in the call reception checking process S302, when the user receives the call, the telephone communication is performed by getting the hook button OFF S308. In other words, the user can pick up the transceiver of the telephone set itself, or can control the hook button on the telephone control program in order to receive the call.
When the telephone communication is performed S308, the initial picture (Money Phone Picture) of the telephone control program is displayed S309.
When the initial picture of the telephone control program is displayed S309, the timer checking the communication time is operated S310.
When the timer is operated, the advertisement window is operated in order to advertise, at the same time the telephone communication is performed S311. Herein, the advertisement outputted from the advertisement information module 156 is displayed S312.
After, it is judged whether the telephone communication is finished S315. In the telephone communication judging process S315, when the telephone communication is finished, the hook button is OFF on the telephone control program S314, or the hook button of the telephone set itself is ON in order to finish the telephone communication S317.
In addition, in the judging process S315, the telephone communication is finished when the caller ends the telephone communication S313.
After, when the telephone communication is finished S313, S314, S317, the timer is stopped S318, and the advertisement displayed is stopped S319. After the advertisement is stopped S319. The point management server
S228 saves the points corresponding to the advertisement S20, the initial picture (Money Phone Picture) of the telephone control program is finished S321.
Herein, when the user makes a telephone call directly as the off line state, the advertisement can be displayed while the telephone communication is performed. In this case, the advertisement information stored on the user computer is displayed, the advertisement points can be accumulated by uploading the point information corresponding to the advertisement display to the point management server 137.
As described above, the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
As described above in detail, the present invention is capable of improving speech quality, and providing various services by receiving/transmitting voice data through a PSTN and receiving/transmitting advertisement and service data through the internet network.
In addition, the present invention is capable of providing a free telephone service, and increasing advertisement effect by displaying an advertisement on a display window both of a caller and a receiver telephone system and saving points corresponding to the advertisement.
In addition, the present invention is capable of managing name card information and schedule information about the each user on an operation server for the telephone service.
In addition, the present invention is capable of calling a telephone easily with one click by recognizing telephone numbers on web pages and various documents.

Claims

1. A multifunction telephone system using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network), comprising : a multifunction telephone connected to the PSTN for performing telephone communication with the other telephone set in remote area by control of a PC or control of the multifunction telephone set itself after being interfaced with the PC (Personal Computer) ; the PC connected to the multifunction telephone set and internet for performing the telephone communication control, installed a telephone control program module interlocked with the multifunction telephone set in order to perform the telephone communication and a user service, and control a certain operation state ; and an operation server contacted to the PC through the internet for providing information for the user service and a certain contents.
2. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the certain contents are advertisement.
3. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and
PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the contents are images of the telephone communication users.
The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the contents are data related to moving picture.
5. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the telephone control program module comprises : a PC control unit for controlling the multifunction telephone set, performing master control through the operation of the telephone control program and communication with the operation server ; a telephone set control interface connected to the multifunction telephone set for interfacing a certain information in accordance with control of the PC control unit ; a character reader for recognizing a certain data having a telephone number form displayed on the PC ; a voice recognition unit for recognizing a voice signal inputted to the multifunction telephone set ; and at least one module group for displaying the user service and a certain advertisement.
6. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and
PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) according to claim 5, wherein the module group comprises : a user authorization information module having information about authorization of the system user ; a schedule information module having schedule information about the user ; a name card information module storing name card information about the user ; an advertisement information module for displaying advertisement included in the contents ; and a latest telephone number list storing information about the telephone numbers called lately by the user for a certain time.
7. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and
PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) according to claim 1 , wherein the operation server comprises : a server control unit for controlling the operation server system overall and performing the telephone communication on the web ; a web server for performing a certain function required for the operation of the internet web site according to the control of the server control unit ; a user management server for managing the user ; a point management server for managing advertisement points according to the telephone use of the user ; an authorization server for managing the authorization of the user ; a schedule server for storing and managing the schedule information about the user ; a name card server for managing name card information about the user ; and an advertisement server for managing information about the advertisement displayed on the user PC.
8. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN
(Public Switching Telephone Network) according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone set comprises : a master control unit including a circuit for connecting to external units, master-controlling mutual transmission of a certain signals between the connected external units and the control function of the multifunction telephone set in order to perform the telephone communication using the PC ; a telephone communication control unit connected to the PSTN through an office line terminal including a certain voice signal input/output mean, performing a certain telephone communication control function in order to perform the telephone communication in accordance with the control of the master control unit ; a key input unit for inputting telephone numbers for the telephone communication and various control orders ; and a display unit for displaying overall operation of the telephone set including a certain information transmitted from the master control unit, telephone communication and control state.
9. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 8, wherein the master control unit includes a serial communication terminal and transmits/receives the pertinent data with the PC by using a serial communication method.
10. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 8, wherein the master control unit includes a USB communication terminal and transmits/receives the pertinent data with the PC by using a USB communication method.
11. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and
PSTN according to claim 8, wherein the PC transmits the sound data having a MP3 format to the master control unit.
12. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and a PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the PC operates a telephone control program for controlling the telephone communication of the multifunction telephone system.
13. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 12, wherein the telephone control program controls the telephone communication and user service, and displays a certain data through a certain display picture.
14. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and a PSTN according to claim 13, wherein the certain display picture is a telephone control window picture for displaying the control and a certain data.
15. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 13 or 14, wherein the certain display picture comprises : a display window for displaying the data inputted from the external unit and the control state ; a plurality of function buttons for performing each function ; and character buttons and number buttons for inputting a certain data.
16. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 15, wherein the certain display picture, and operation and form of the plurality of buttons are changed according to the select of the plurality of the function buttons.
17. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system makes a telephone call automatically by selecting the data having telephone number form displayed on the certain document and internet web page.
18. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system performs a certain advertisement both to a caller and a receiver.
19. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system has a voice recognition function which is capable of converting and recognizing the inputted data into voice.
20. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 19, wherein the voice recognition function uses a speaker independent variable vocabulary recognition technology/learning technology.
21. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system stores telephone calls receiving in a user's absent.
22. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system is capable of performing a reservation telephone calling at a certain time by storing a speaking message.
23. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system is capable of listening and controlling the received message stored on the system from remote place.
24. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system can listen a received mail as a voice from remote area.
25. The multifunction telephone system using the internet and PSTN according to claim 1 , wherein the multifunction telephone system receives and stores information about the other party of the user, and displays it. 0

A multifunction telephone method using the internet and a PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network), comprising : contacting to a telephone service web page of the operation server in order to perform the telephone communication and service ; 5 registering an unauthorized user after checking authorization of the user through the operation server; displaying the connection state according to the telephone calling after checking the telephone state of the user ; performing the telephone communication, at the same time checking o communication time according to the telephone connection to the other party, displaying a certain advertisement, and/or performing a user convenience service ; and storing a user point in accordance with the checked communication time after ending the display of the advertisement and/or user convenience service according to the end of the telephone communication.
27. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the connection state displaying process is performed when the user makes a call to the other party on the telephone service web page of the operation server.
28. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the connection state displaying process is performed when the user makes a call to the other party on the program operated on the user PC.
29. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the connection state displaying process is performed when the user makes a call to the other party on the telephone set connected to the user PC.
30. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the user convenience service comprises at least one service item among the internet using the web, a user management, a point management, a user authorization, a schedule management, a name card providing service, and an advertisement providing service.
31. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the telephone communication performing process can record, reference, modify, make a telephone call and erase the information related to the service for managing a database of the user convenience service.
32. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and a PSTN according to claim 31 , wherein the information reference related to the service is performed by downloading the information related to the service to the user PC in accordance with a HTTP (Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol) request and transmission.
33. The multifunction telephone method using the internet and a PSTN according to claim 26, wherein the multifunction telephone method using the internet and PSTN (Public Switching Telephone Network) comprises : checking whether the user picks up the telephone when the telephone call is received from outside by transmitting a ring signal detected from the telephone set to the PC, recognizing it, and operating a timer ; starting the telephone communication at the same time with the start of the advertisement of the telephone communication control program on the user PC when the user picks up the telephone ; and finishing the telephone communication by stopping the timer operation and advertisement, storing the points corresponding to the advertisement when the user ends the telephone communication.
