Abstract

An improved protein comprising an amino acid sequence which has been modified from a precursor amino acid sequence by the substitution or deletion of an amino acid residue which differs from a corresponding amino acid residue in a less stable but homologous protein, wherein said improved protein has improved properties compared to a protein corresponding to the precursor amino acid sequence.
