Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système améliorés destinés à émettre la position d'un véhicule à destination d'un emplacement distant. La position calculée est celle du véhicule par rapport à une base de données de cartes. Dans une réalisation de la présente invention, le système de navigation du véhicule calcule sa position par rapport à une base de données de cartes en utilisant une superposition sur carte préalablement à l'envoi de la position calculée à l'emplacement distant. La position du véhicule est alors émise vers l'emplacement distant en termes du réseau routier de la base de données de cartes.
