It goes without saying that the features of the invention mentioned above can be used not only in the respectively specified combination, but also in other combinations or on their own, without leaving the scope of the invention.

FIG. 2 shows a public telecommunications network with several central switching centers and associated telecommunications terminals or private telecommunications systems. The central switching center 7 is connected to the other central switching centers via the public lines 9 and 10. Furthermore, the central switching center 7 provides, for example, six telecommunications subscribers with the telecommunications terminals 1 to 5 and one telecommunications subscriber with a private telecommunications system 11. In the private telecommunication system 11 shown as an example, which has a telecommunication terminal 11.3 according to the invention with an additional module 8 according to the invention, there is the possibility of automatically forwarding a call that was generated in the telecommunication system 11 to a predetermined one by the telecommunication terminal 11.3 according to the invention To cancel time or after a predetermined duration by the telecommunication terminal 11.3 automatically dialing the telecommunication system 11 at this time and transmitting a code sequence to be programmed differently depending on the telecommunication system and thus canceling the call forwarding. With such a connection of a telecommunication terminal to a central switching center 7 via a private telecommunication system 11, it is also possible to direct call forwarding via the telecommunication terminal 11.3. device at the central exchange 7 or later cancel it in the manner according to the invention.

It is also possible that the program module according to the invention, which cancels call forwarding again automatically after a certain predetermined time, is not accommodated in the telecommunication terminal 11.3 itself, but is arranged in the private telecommunication system 11 and from there the call forwarding of the central switching digit 7 accordingly cancels or initiates independently.

As a result of this type of design, there is no need to change the telecommunications terminals themselves in order to be able to carry out the method according to the invention, but it is sufficient if the private telecommunications system 11 has a corresponding additional module 8 to which the individual telecommunications terminals 11.1 to 11.3 are based can access to perform the automatic cancellation procedure for call forwarding / call forwarding according to the invention.

FIG. 3 shows a telecommunications network with three central switching centers which are connected to one another in the telecommunications network via public lines 9 and 10 and which have a large number of telecommunications terminals connected via the exchange lines. The invention is explained on the basis of the central exchange 7 with its telecommunication terminals 1-6 connected via the exchange lines ALI to AL6.

According to the invention, the central switching center 7 has, in addition to the devices of a switching center which are known per se, an additional module 8 which takes over the time control of the call forwarding. In this example, if a call forwarding is initiated by the telecommunication terminal 1 to the telecommunication terminal 2 in the central switching center 7, then, according to the invention, a maximum time, time frame or start of the call forwarding when initiating the call forwarding can be entered.

In the prior art, call forwarding can be initiated once by both the telecommunication terminal 1 and by any other telecommunication terminal using a "remote control" message, but after such initiation of call forwarding only by the telecommunication terminal 1 itself again - to be activated.

In the case of the central switching center 7 according to the invention, by specifying the time frame or another time limit, call forwarding is automatically reset after the end of this time frame and call forwarding must now be started again. This initiation of call forwarding is now not only possible by the telecommunication terminal 1 itself, but can also be carried out by a remote, arbitrary third-party device using frequency selection methods, for example using a "remote control" message. In this way it is now possible to reactivate the call forwarding after an automatic switch-off due to time, whereby a different destination number can be entered for the call forwarding.

A sales representative can use this to activate call forwarding for a limited time to a specific customer he is visiting and call forwarding is deactivated again after the previously entered period of time. The representative can therefore enter a new destination number at the end of the visit to this customer - in accordance with the previously defined time limit for call forwarding - and can then be reached at any time at different locations.

Of course, the call diversion described can be carried out not only to telecommunication terminals of the same central exchange, but also to other telecommunication terminals that are connected to the other exchanges within the public network.

Another possible embodiment of the inventive concept is shown in FIG. 3, in which the additional module 8 is accommodated in a private telecommunications system.

FIG. 4 also shows a public telecommunications network with several central exchanges. A plurality of telecommunication terminals 1 to 3 and several telecommunication systems 11 to 13 are connected to the central switching center 7 and each telecommunication system supplies three telecommunication terminals 11.1 to 11.3, 12.1 to 12.3, and 13.1 to 13.3.
