Description

"VIBRATORY PUMP IMPROVEMENT"
The present descriptive report is referred to a pioneer
patent for vibratory pump, related to the hydraulic equipment field, which
pump has been improved for being better adapted to tubular wells.
A vibratory pump is already known, substantially
comprised: by a frame; a solenoid housed in the lower part of the frame; by a
moving transmission member, axial to the frame, capable of axially oscilla
ting, an end of which is subject to the solenoid, the intermediate section of
which is assembled upon flexible support assembled in the frame and the
upper end subjects parts of a pumping device composed: of a membrane with
a central region assembled in the transmission member and periphery assem
bled amongst frame parts and with such defining an auxiliary pumping
chamber; such pumping device is still comprised of pumping outlets derived
from mentioned auxiliary pumping chamber; by cupping assembled in the
transmission member end, subject to the same and that operates in a commu
nication seat of such auxiliary pumping chamber with an upper admission
chamber; by system of opening and closing valves of the admission chamber
and subject to the cupping moving; amongst others.
This type of pump, in its usual construction, is purpo
sed to be used in regular wells. An inconvenience noted in such type of re
gular pump is concerned to the heating of the solenoid pump to undesirable levels. In order to solve such inconvenience several proposals have been ma
de, which, however, have not yet met all success intended.
Thus, the vibratory pump improvement's purpose,
object of the present pioneer patent, is providing a pump that could be
adapted to tubular well-
Other objective of the present improvement is
providing the pump with proper cooling means of the solenoid coil.
Another objective of the present improvement is
providing the pump with means such that make possible using it in many
ways, in order to comply with different requirements.
Having in view the hereinbefore mentioned problems,
and with the purpose of overcoming the same and aiming at fulfilling the
listed objectives, it has been developed the vibratory pump improvement,
object of the present pioneer patent, whose construction, operation and ad
vantages are hereinafter described, based upon the attached drawings, in
which:
igure 1 shows the pump both laterally and in section;
Figure 2 shows an accessory of the pump, purposed
adapting the same to be used as a suction pump; Figure 3 shows a detail of the pump by having adapte
the accessory' of the previous figure;
Figure 4 shows an inlet coupling accessory, for assem¬
bly of two pumps in series;
Figure 5 shows a detail of the pump by having adapted
the accessory of the previous figure; and
Figure 6 shows the pump into a version with frame -
made of plastic.
In compliance with the illustrations stated in the
figures hereinbelow listed, the vibratory pump, object of the present pioneer
patent, is addressed to the water pumping and it is comprised, in its essence,
of a set of frame 1; by a driving solenoid 10 housed in the frame; by a set of
moving transmission, composed of a member 20, axial to the frame, capable
of axially oscillating, an end of which has assembled a base 21 subject to the
driving solenoid 10, the intermediate section of said member 20 is assembled
upon flexible support block 22 and the opposite end of said member subject
to parts of the pumping set 30, formed by a set of oscillating cover 31 with
smaller base assembled in the member 20 and larger base that houses the su
pport block 22 and assembled amongst the fixed parts of the frame set 1; by
auxiliary pumping chamber 32 defined by said oscillating cover 31 and parts
of the frame set 1; by pumping outlets 33 derived from mentioned auxiliary pumping chamber 32; by cupping 34 assembled in the opposite end of the
transmission member 20, by seat 35, in which the cupping 34 operates and
that communicates said auxiliary pumping chamber 32 with an admission
chamber 36; and by system of valve of vane type 37 of opening and closing
of the admission chamber 36 inlets 38 and subject to pressure in the inner
part of the same provided by the cupping 34 moving; amongst others.
The present improvement, consists, essentially, of
providing the pump of diameter smaller than the diameter normally observed,
proper for housing the same inside the tubular well, to which purpose its
frame 1 and all mechanism have been radially reduced and compensated, so
as to be adapted to the tubular well and keeping the pump output within the
proper standards.
Another improvement consists in providing pump of
the driving solenoid set 10 cooling device, that comprises inverting the me
chanism position, so that mentioned solenoid 10 is located in the upper regi
on of the pump and housed within the inverted tubular cup 40; and the
transmission member 20, subject to the solenoid; and the pumping set 30,
subject to the transmission member 20; and the water intakes 38, are dispo
sed in the lower region of the pump; said inverted tubular cup 40 defines an
annular pass 41 in connection with the frame wall 1, whose upper end com
municates with the upper pumping outlet 2 of the frame 1 and the lower end of said pass 41 communicates with the pumping outlets 33 communicant
with the auxiliary pumping chamber 32 of the pumping set 30; said pass 41;
the circulating water in the same; the cup wall 40, that encloses the driving
solenoid 10 constitute mediums of heat exchange, that provides the driving
solenoid 10 cooling, in order to be possible to incorporate the improvement
hereinbelow mentioned, the pump's construction has been completely
reformulated, as more in details hereinafter described.
Thus, the frame set 1 is composed, essentially, of : an
external cylindrical frame 1 with external diameter selected to be received
inside the tubular well and provided with conical upper end, that ends in the
pumping outlet 2 and lower end that has assembled a nozzle 4 of the pump
accessories fitting. In the inner part of the external cylindrical frame 1 and by
keeping an space in connection with the same, which constitutes the pass 41,
it is foreseen the inverted cup 40, that houses the solenoid 10, which is cylin
drical and escalated and foresees a narrower upper section, in which it is as
sembled the end of the solenoid core 10 and wider lower section, extended by
the major part of the cup height, in which it is housed section of the core and
the coil winded in the same, that constitute the solenoid 10; below these it is
disposed the base 21 of the transmission member 20 subject to the solenoid
and under mentioned base 21 and around the transmission member 21 it is
foresee the pumping set 30, which besides its pumping function provides the
insulation amongst the wet and dry parts of the pump. The pumping set 30 it is housed into a set of cylindri
cal wall 40' assembled in continuation to the cup 40 upper end, which defi
nes a pair of upper backstops, between which are fastened a peripheral tur
ned edge of the upper base of the cover 31 and the seal ring of a seal set 39,
that still foresees an upper 0-ring, inserted between the base of the cover 31
and the set of wall 40'; in the intermediate region of said set of wall 40' are
foreseen the pumping outlets 33 radially placed and in the upper end, menti
oned set of wall 40' has assembled a first closing under substantial shape of
cup 40", whose upper end foresees an assembly flange slightly conical with
concave upper end, which defines the seat 35, in which the cupping 34 ope
rates and in continuation to such flange it is foreseen a cylindrical section,
that defines the admission chamber 36, in whose bottom are foreseen the
water intakes 38 and is assembled the vane valve 37, that controls the latter;
under mentioned first closing in shape of external cup 40" it is foreseen a
second closing in the shape of external cup 40'" provided with turned edge
of upper assembly placed under the flange of the first closing 40" and whose
bottom is projected outside the nozzle 4 of the accessories fitting, supports
the first closing 40" and foresees holes of water intake 38', lined up with
holes 38 of the admission chamber 36; the mentioned first 40" and second
40'" closings are assembled so as they can be disassembled by means of de
vice that includes radial tightening devices 5.
The core 11 of the solenoid 10 is cylindrical and fore sees a lower diametrical crack, which defines double-split section extended
for almost all core height and where the coil 12 is winded with enameled vvi
re; the core base, of laying in the upper narrow section of the cup 40, does
not foresee the crack and is proyided with through axial hole, in which it is
located the coil's electric feeding cable 13, which is extended outside of the
bottom of .cup 4.0 and .of the .upper conipal wall of the external frame 1 , so as
not be located beyond the projection of the external frame 1 perimeter and
thus making easy the pump installation in .tubular well. The base 21 of the
ansmission member 20, that is subject to i ^ solenoid 1.0, is also cylindrical
and composed of an aggregate of material subject to magnetic attraction and
is fastened to the member 20 by means of pins, welding and aluminum.
The pump, constructed as hereinbefore described, has
three diverse ways of use. In one of the possibilities, (Figure 1) the pump is
used without the auxiliary .accessories, assembled in the middle .of the tubular
well and the water collection is directly made by the inlet openings 38, 38'.
in other possibility, the pump receives in its nozzle 4
.of .accessories fitting .a base 5.0 (Figures 3 and 4) to be used supported in the
base as a suction pump. The base 50 is a tubular body comprised by a cou
pling -cylindrical upper section 51 in the nozzle 4 of the pump .and by a coni
cal-tubular trunk lower section 52, which is extended and widened as from
that, of support in the bottom of the well .and provided with a water intakes
53 lining up, placed close to the upper end of the mentioned conical-tubular trunk section 52.
In another possibility' of use, the pump receives a
coupling 60 nozzle 4 (Figures 4 and 5), purposed to connect the pump inlet
to the outlet of a second pump, in order to assemble various pumps in series
vertically placed, for reaching biggest depths or horizontally placed for pres
surization of the pumping lines. The coupling 60 is a tubular body comprised
by a coupling cylindrical end 61 in the pump nozzle 4, intermediate conical
section 62 and cylindrical extreme section of lower diameter 63 of receiving
and fastening of the connection nipple (64) to a pump outlet. In this way of
use, at least the pumps following to the last upstream pump, receive external
belts made of rubber-type material 70, purposed to fasten the main electrical
feeding cable 13', from which are derived the cables 13 that reach the
pumps.
In this way, the pump, object of the present pioneer
patent, can be properly applied in tubular well, by taking into account that
has dimensioning proper to such purpose, without however have its efficien
cy reduced.
The cooling device of the present pump, as
hereinbefore conceived and described, solves in proper way the solenoid-
heating problem, by improving both the pump output and useful life.
And, yet, the possibility of connecting the pump to
different accessories will make possible a wide flexibility' of its use, by more completely fulfilling the requirements of the consumer market.
Within the basic conception hereinbefore described, it
is being pled the possibility of presenting the pump, object of this pioneer
patent, changes relating to materials, dimensions and constmctive details
without leaving the sphere of the requested protection. For this purpose, the
pump might have its frame made of stainless steel or aluminum (Figures 1 to
5) or of engineering plastic (Figure 6), solutions which are substantially
preserving the same characteristics, yet incorporating only some constmctive
differences, however related to the possibilities of arrangements resulting
from the materials utilized in its construction. Thus, the pump with plastic
frame has substantially the same construction of that one made of steel or
aluminum, except that foresees a second lower closing 40'", which
corresponds to the second closing 40" of the other version, comprised by a
cup that is coupled to nozzle 4, whose bottom has grate shape and supports
the valve 37' admission chamber 36' and is able to receive accessory for
connection to the second pump inlet.
The pump, object of the present pioneer patent, is to
be used in the field of the hydraulic installations, particularly those purposed
to water pumping, preferably water pumping from tubular well and is yet
used for pressurization of pumping lines.
