Abstract

The invention relates to a device for transferring boring rods for horizontal advance units provided for effecting an underground trenchless advance. The inventive device comprises a storage compartment (11) and a pivotal gripper (31), whereby said gripper (31) is arranged in such a manner that the circular path of the gripper (31) crosses both the transfer areas of the storage compartment (11) as well as the boring axis (B).

Description

The invention relates to a device for the transfer rod for horizontal propulsion device for underground grave without propulsion and claims the priority of German Patent Application 199 26 055.9 in claim, to which reference is made.

Such a rod magazine is described for example in German Patent Application 196 10 883rd In this device the storage container is arranged above the drilling axis and has in its lower region, a transfer tray. For taking the transfer compartment in which a string section is located is moved to the drilling axis, the string section fixed and moved back the magazine to its original position. This rod magazine, however, is only suitable for small change speeds, as with any linkage transfer the entire magazine must be moved.

Another technique of automatic slack handover uses a gripper which conveys the rod sections of a reservoir into the drilling axis. Such a rod magazine is known for example from German Patent Application 197 12 641st For such magazines, the linkage rod sections are rotated out of the reservoir by the gripper in a position in the vicinity of the drill axis and then by extension of the gripper by means of a parallel displacement in the drilling axis in moving. A similar device is described in US patent specification 5,556,253. These devices have the disadvantage that the gripper must be constructive addition to the rotation in a position to move the drill string in parallel. The reservoir is preferably arranged next to the drilling axis, so that the operator can track the screwing and unscrewing of the rod sections. The reservoir may have an open construction, which allows monitoring of the filling level of the reservoir. It is particularly advantageous here to empty the ducts from the inside outwards, starting from the drilling axis. The rod sections can be insert into the gripper by hand. For this purpose, the gripper is pivoted out under the reservoir, so that a string section adjacent to the reservoir in the gripper can be inserted.
