Abstract

The invention concerns a system for submitting documents consisting of three sub-systems (SS1, SS2i, SS3i) of the designer, the beneficiary and the representative. The data are transmitted through a public network after being compressed and encrypted. The data concerning the model reach the beneficiary (SS2i) simultaneously with a reader software capable of being downloaded. The beneficiary adds his comments in overprint (9) and then returns the file of the model with his comments to the representative (SS3i) who processes the document and finally sends it to the beneficiary either directly or via the designer.

Description

"Image projects transmission system"

The present invention relates a famous document submission system (models) are preparing a designer on behalf of a beneficiary with partici- tion of a speaker, the designer submitting his model to the recipient that it report its comments and wishes of changes to the speaker for the development of the model for its use.

Such a document is transmitted already shown actuel- LEMENT, such as a fax. It is also possible to transmit such documents with computers in the form of color images that can be printed in color. Indeed, the difficulties do not allow in general to convey an image of excellent quality are related to the volume of image data to be transmitted, transmission times and heterogeneity of the machines at both ends of the transmission line and that the heterogeneity of used programs.

The picture illustrating such a document, such as a model for a package involves complex composite elements: realistic illustrations, slides, drawings or text, graphics or barcodes information.

The illustrations are of the BIP-MAP very large pictures and text and drawings are vector images occupying very little space. But the result is that the file volume defining such images often exceeds hundreds of millions of bytes.

These images can be recorded on physical media of large capacity, such as magnetic or optical media. But their delivery of the designer to the recipient by mail is relatively long compared to the time of transmission of information by networks. The remote transmission of such files to speed their delivery is possible. But as dice indicated, the volume of files generates significant transmission time and consequently cost prohibitive; Moreover, during transmission, the information is sensitive to network disruptions, be they conventional telephone networks or specialized networks. It is therefore very important to try to reduce the transmission time to reduce the risk of disruption and reduce the cost of the operation.

Another important element in the difficulty to transmit images of excellent quality is the heterogeneity of the machines; this situation is often even more pronounced than the companies participating in the exchange are located in different countries or use different operating systems and sometimes incompatible. Finally, the software used in the machines are very varied. In a program of the same brand, the appearance of the image can be changed according to the nationality of the user and the files are not completely compatible, eg for text accompanying the drawings.

In conclusion, the current means even tele- transmission does not allow the transmission of a satisfactory image quality for industrial purposes.

The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages and proposes to develop a transmission system illustrated or model documents, allowing rapid transmission of information to the recipient then it toward the speaker or designer in spite differences of machines or software used by participants in this exchange of information.

To this end, the invention concerns a system of the type defined above, characterized in that the system consists of three subsystems: - a designer subsystem,

- a recipient subsystem,

- a speaker subsystem, connected by a public communication network, A) the designer subsystem includes:

- means for designing the layout and conversion means of the model in electronic data,

- a memory receiving the data,

- ways to show with * compression software,

* Encryption software,

* A transmission software for transmitting by the network to the recipient, compressed and encrypted model and a reading software to read only the model,

B) the recipient of the subsystem includes:

- receiving means with

* Reception software,

* Decryption software * decompression software to receive the designer, by the network, the model and the reading program, decrypt the information on the model and decompress,

- a memory receiving the information transmitted by the receiving means and the reading program,

- a manipulation software that receives information from the model and the reading program to view and / or print the model,

- ways to insert comments to add comments to the model without changing it,

- transmitting means having

* Compression software,

* Encryption software,

* An emission software to transmit over the network, the model and comments to the speaker,

C) the speaker the subsystem comprises:

- receiving means with * reception software,

* Decryption software,

* Decompression software to receive data relating to the model and to the beneficiary's comments

- a memory for the information received,

- means for displaying and means for printing the information received and means for receiving response data from the memory to work and modify the model, and

- transmission means for transmitting the new layout designer or transmission means to transmit to recipients of a new control. According to another advantageous feature of the invention, comments are combined with the original model in the recipient subsystem in the form of bubbles attached to various points concerned by the comments. The present invention will be described hereinafter with the aid of a diagram of a set of document delivery system shown according to the invention.

According to the figure, the invention concerns a famous document transmission system between different subsystems.

The system comprises a first subsystem SS1, the designer who develops the document illustrates or model and a second subsystem SS2ι, that of a recipient. As there may be several beneficiaries, schematically one of them is shown in the drawing but under SS2ι reference.

Finally, the system includes an mt-ervenant SS3 subsystem to which the recipient addresses his comments on the paper shows that he looks to make change and make a technical and economic assessment (quotes, etc.).

The SS1 designer subsystem 1 comprises design means for designing the document illus- trates or model. This is such a graphics station comprising a graphics computer, a display screen, a printer, a mouse, a graphical table to order software and generate a computer image. The information is transmitted to the memory 2 which also contains a 4 software downloaded. The transmission software sends data over a public network R, for example a telephone network. The information of the model and downloadable software are sent to a recipient SS2ι.

The recipient's SS2ι subsystem or recipient includes receiving means 6 connected to the network A. The receiving means comprise a receiving software 61, a decryption software 52 and decompression software 53. the receiver software allows to receive information through the network R. the information is decrypted by the decryption software 52 which can only work when all file fractions are combined and decompressed by software 53.

Receiving means 5 transmit the decompressed information including the file of the master and the read software to the memory 61 of the computer 6 of SS2ι subsystem.

The SS2ι subsystem also includes a manipulation software 7 and means for displaying and printing 8 with a display screen 81 and a IM Primante 82. Finally, the computer 6 is connected to an insertion means 9 comments.

At the output, the SS2ι subsystem comprises transmitting means 10, namely a packer 101, encryption software 102, the encryption means may comprise a fractionation system encrypts the message such that as the file fractions are not met, the encrypted file is indecipherable, each file fraction appearing as a file in its own right and a transmitter 103 software.

The beneficiary or recipient uses the sub SS2ι system to review the model proposed on the display screen or as printed documents. He may comment to request changes to parts of the model. However, these comments are not registered in the model file as the software available to it to examine the proposed model is a playback software. It can only combine comments by overlaying them to the model, for example in the form of bubbles as comics bubbles containing information with pins relating to the parts of the model concerned with the comments.

Then, the document illustrates feedback is transmitted by means of transmission 10 to be routed through the network R to the subsystem SS3 for the speaker.

This speaker can be the designer. It can also be a different recipient.

The subsystem SS3 of the speaker comprises a receiving means 11 with a receiving software 111, a decryption program 112 which can only function when all file fractions are combined and decompression software 113. Information received through the receiving software 111 is decrypted by the decryption software 112 then is decompressed by the decompression software 113. This information consists of the document shows and reviews the recipient. The information is stored in the computer memory 12 which may reveal this information in the display means 13 forms a display screen 131 and a printer 132.

The speaker may intervene on the document as it has a program enabling it this inter- vention. Then the working document and is transmitted to the sub-system SS1 in the memory of it. The document can also be transmitted back to the recipient. The way back is via the transmission means. This emission in turn is represented by a dotted arrow connecting the memory 12 to the memory 2, the new transmission being done by the sub-system SS1, by its transmitting means 3.

The free downloadable software used to implement the invention may be of the PDF format by Adobe Acrobat. As compression software can UTI Liser ACROBAT DISTILLER software that compresses the files to the PostScript standard. This standard is the most common format in the printing industry. The compression may be more or less advanced depending on the amount of information transmitted. The software used for the transmission software such as EASY TRANSFER ACCESS PRIVILEGE and lo ¬ file conversion giciel the independent format software and hardware that generates the image transmitted can be the software ACROBAT EXCHANGE. Finally, the playback software may be the ACROBAT READER software.
