Abstract

The present invention relates to the art of stereo sound reproducing systems. An acoustic signal reproducing apparatus comprises an acoustic stereo signal source (1) which generates at its outputs the left and right channel stereo signals and is connected to the inputs of stereo signal preprocessing means (2); the stereo signal preprocessing means (2) comprising first and second low-pass filters (3, 4) and first and second two-input adders (5, 6); a variable delay circuit (7) comprising first and second delay lines (8, 9) with their signal inputs connected to outputs of the stereo signal preprocessing means (2); sound signal reproducing means (10, 11) connected with their inputs to the outputs of the delay lines (8, 9); a reference signal source (12) comprising a reference signal generator (13) and a reference signal emitter (14); a reference signal receiver (15); and calculating means (16) for calculating an angular orientation of the listener's head.
